Description
【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a friction damper, and more particularly, to a friction damper for attenuating a relative motion generated by an earthquake or the like between two structures.
[0002]
[Prior art]
2. Description of the Related Art In recent years, seismic isolation structures are increasingly being used in buildings in preparation for the occurrence of a large-scale earthquake. This seismic isolation structure generally includes an isolator (seismic isolation bearing) made of laminated rubber and the like that transmits vibration to the building by prolonging the vibration caused by the earthquake between the building and the foundation, and absorbs vibration energy to generate vibration. This is achieved by arranging a damper that attenuates the pressure.
[0003]
As a damper, the isolator itself has a damping function by embedding a lead plug in the isolator or making the rubber material of the laminated rubber a high damping material, and combined with this separately from the
[0004]
There is also known an isolator that has a damping function by attaching a Teflon plate to the lower surface of the isolator and attaching a stainless steel plate to the base plate on the base side to generate sliding friction between the Teflon plate and the stainless steel plate. . However, in this case, since the supporting load of the isolator becomes a load for generating a frictional force, it is necessary to consider a change in the load. Further, since only one sliding surface can be obtained, the obtained damping force is limited.
[0005]
A damper incorporating a disc spring is also known as a damper due to such friction. This friction damper is installed separately from the isolator, but since the load applied to the disc spring is obtained from the supporting load, the influence of the load fluctuation is not small. In addition, only one sliding surface can be obtained.
[0006]
Further, a friction damper as disclosed in JP-A-6-323355 is also known. Since this friction damper compresses the disc spring with the bolt, the load can be adjusted and the load can be kept constant. However, in the friction damper, since the number of disc springs to be installed is limited, the load adjustment is also limited. Further, this prior art device cannot take a large displacement amount and cannot cope with excessive vibration.
[0007]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
The present invention has been made based on the technical background as described above, and achieves the following objects.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION An object of the present invention is to provide a large degree of freedom in design and to allow various factors or factors to generate friction, thereby obtaining a large and large damping force with one device, reducing the number of dampers, and reducing the overall cost. Another object of the present invention is to provide a friction damper capable of reducing the frictional force.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The present invention employs the following means to achieve the above object.
That is, the present invention is a friction damper for attenuating a relative motion generated between two structures by a frictional force,
Including a friction generator installed on one of the structures, and a connection shaft installed on the other of the structures,
The friction generator includes a holding frame,
A plurality of holding plates held by the holding frame and stacked and arranged,
At least one sliding plate slidably disposed between the holding plates adjacent to each other and having an end rotatably connected to the connecting shaft;
Load applying means incorporated in the holding frame and applying a load in the thickness direction of the press plate and the slide plate over the entirety thereof,
The holding frame is rotatably mounted on one of the structures, and a bottom plate;
A pair of side plates fixedly spaced apart from each other on the bottom plate;
An upper plate fixed on the side plate,
The holding plate and the sliding plate are disposed between the bottom plate and the top plate;
The sliding plate has an end protruding outward from between the side plates and extends to be connected to the connection shaft,
The friction damper is characterized in that each side plate is provided with an opening, and the holding plate has a projection fitted into each opening .
[0009]
When an earthquake or the like occurs and a relative movement occurs between the two structures, the sliding plate of the friction generator rotates with respect to the connecting shaft following the movement and slides with the holding plate. The kinetic energy is absorbed and attenuated by the friction generated when the sliding plate slides. The load for generating friction is always constant because the load applying means is incorporated in the holding frame, and the magnitude of the damping force is changed by changing the number of load applying means, the number of sliding plates, and the like. It can be set freely.
[0010]
[0011]
[0012]
The bottom plate has a boss at a lower portion thereof for rotatably attaching the holding frame to one of the structures.
[0013]
The load applying unit includes a spring member disposed on the uppermost pressing plate, and a pressing member that presses the spring member toward the uppermost pressing plate, wherein the pressing member is provided on the holding frame. Consists of bolts screwed onto the upper plate. One or a plurality of the friction generating devices may be provided on the outer periphery of the connection shaft at equal angular intervals.
[0014]
[0015]
[0016]
An annular plate is non-rotatably fitted to the connection shaft, and an end of the sliding plate is rotatably connected to the annular plate.
[0017]
