TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a method for welding a stainless steel clad steel sheet.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Structures that store highly corrosive liquids, such as tanks mounted on chemical tankers, are manufactured by welding stainless clad steel plates, which are made by laminating a stainless steel composite material onto a carbon steel base material. I have. A conventional method of welding a stainless steel clad steel plate will be described with reference to FIG. In FIG. 3,
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
The weight of a single stainless clad steel sheet used to manufacture a tank for a chemical tanker is several tons. Therefore, in the conventional method of performing welding from the front and the back, the steel plate must be turned over using a crane, which not only increases the working time but also increases the welding cost considerably. .
[0004]
An object of the present invention is to provide a method of welding a stainless steel clad steel sheet which can perform a welding operation from one direction and can form a good final bead on a laminated material side.
[0005]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The present invention is directed to a method of welding two stainless clad steel sheets formed by laminating a joining material made of stainless steel to a base material made of carbon steel by an arc welding method. First, in the present invention, two stainless steel clad steel sheets are prepared that can form a groove having a root interval on the base material side and a gap increasing from the base material side toward the laminated material side. Then, two stainless steel clad steel plates are arranged so as to form the groove. At this time, the backing material which comes into contact with the base material of the two stainless steel clad steel plates and closes the opening on the base material side of the groove so as to correspond to the groove formed between the two stainless steel clad steel plates. Deploy. Next, two stainless clad steel base materials are welded by gas shielded arc welding. The number of times of gas shield arc welding may be one or two or more times depending on the thickness of the base material. In gas shielded arc welding, the base metal may be completely welded, but a part where the base metal is not welded may remain. Also, for example, if a dissimilar material welding wire is used, a part of the joining material may be naturally welded by gas shield arc welding such as 309 MoL. Thereafter, the laminated material of the two stainless steel clad steel plates is welded by submerged arc welding. In order to obtain a good final bead, it is preferable to perform the submerged arc welding once to form the final bead into a one-layer structure.
[0006]
According to the present invention, by using a backing material, two stainless clad steel plates can be welded by a welding operation from one direction, so that no crane operation is required during the welding operation, Costs can be significantly reduced. In addition, gas shielded arc welding has a lower heat input, a higher welding speed, and is more efficient than submerged arc welding. Therefore, if the base metal is welded by gas shielded arc welding, the welding cost can be reduced. However, gas shielded arc welding generates a larger amount of spatter than submerged arc welding, and cannot form a large bead by one welding. Therefore, when the final bead formed on the joining material side is formed by gas shielded arc welding, the appearance of the final bead deteriorates (that is, a smooth bead is not obtained), which may cause corrosion. In the present invention, since the final bead on the laminated material side is formed by submerged arc welding, a high-quality final bead can be obtained. In particular, when a final bead is formed by one submerged arc welding, an overlapping portion of a plurality of beads is not formed on the surface side, so that the best bead can be obtained.
[0007]
In gas shielded arc welding, it is preferable to use a flux-cored welding wire to reduce spatter. However, even if a solid welding wire containing no flux is used, there is no particular problem unless the final bead is formed by gas shielded arc welding as in the present invention.
[0008]
When the thickness of the laminated material of the stainless clad steel sheet is 5 mm or less and the total thickness is 9 mm or more and 17 mm or less, the preferable groove shape is a groove angle of 30 ° or more and 60 ° or less and a root interval of 2 mm or more The groove shape is 10 mm or less and the root face is 0 or 3 mm or less. If the included angle is smaller than 30 °, the appearance of the backside bead becomes worse, and defects such as poor fusion easily occur. If the groove angle is larger than 60 °, the amount to be welded (the amount of welding) increases, and the efficiency becomes extremely poor. If the route interval is smaller than 2 mm, a stable backside bead cannot be obtained, and if the route interval is larger than 10 mm, a stable backside bead cannot be obtained, and the welding amount increases to deteriorate welding efficiency. If the root face exceeds 3 mm, a stable backside bead cannot be obtained even in this case, and defects such as poor fusion occur.
[0009]
