Abstract
7A female plug of an optical connector having an adapter unit that can be attached and detached very easily and in a short time and that does not necessarily require a tool for attachment and detachment.
A right end of an adapter shaft 224 is engaged well with a bayonet lock groove of a hook bolt 226. When the bayonet lock is released, the spring 227 has a function of urging the other end B to the left in FIG. When the end portion B protrudes when the bayonet lock is released, the O-ring 225 is also pushed out, and functions as a non-slip so that the entire adapter unit U can be easily pulled out with a fingertip. Such an anti-slip function is also found in the spring 227. By easily and quickly detaching the adapter unit U with only the fingertip in this manner, the ferrule 217 is widely exposed to the opening of the female plug shell, so that when cleaning the end face of the end of the ferrule 217, Very convenient.

However, in the
Furthermore, since the operation requires tools such as a screwdriver, in an emergency such as when using an optical connector, the end face of the tip of the ferrule cannot be cleaned without tools close to the operator. Is inconvenient.
[0007]
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The present invention has been made to solve the above problems, and an object of the present invention is to realize a female plug of an optical connector having an adapter unit that can be attached and detached very easily and in a short time. A further object of the present invention is to provide a female plug of an optical connector with a mounting / removing mechanism that does not require a tool for mounting / detaching an adapter unit.
However, it is sufficient if each of the above-mentioned objects is achieved individually by at least one of the individual means of the present invention, and the individual invention of the present application solves all the above-mentioned problems simultaneously. It does not necessarily guarantee that a solution exists.
[0008]
Means for Solving the Problems, Functions and Effects of the Invention
In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the following means are effective.
That is, a first means of the present invention is to insert a substantially cylindrical female plug shell fitted to a male plug of an optical connector, a ferrule provided on the female plug shell, and fit and connect with the male plug. When the ferrule provided on the male plug is inserted, a holding member for contacting the tips of both ferrules is provided, and an adapter unit detachable from the female plug shell is provided. The adapter unit penetrates through the center of the adapter unit to transmit the rotational motion, and has a shaft having a convex portion formed at the end A located on the side opposite to the male plug, and attaching the shaft to the male plug. The female plug shell has a bayonet lock groove in which the convex portion of the shaft is fitted and bayonet locked by rotation of the shaft. , Removably fix the member holding the ferrule It is a female plug of an optical connector characterized by having a hook bolt.
[0009]
FIG. 1 is a perspective view exemplifying an operation principle relating to a known bayonet lock. For example, if such a bayonet lock is used, it is usually possible or easy to release or fasten the lock simply by performing a rotation operation about a right angle (90 °).
[0010]
More generally, the number of engagement pins (
[0011]
Therefore, according to the present invention, in any case, the lock can be released or fastened only by a rotation operation within at most two right angles. In addition, if a bayonet lock is used, a reliable fastening effect can be obtained without firmly screwing both the male and female of the lock structure. Therefore, according to the above configuration, the operation of engaging and releasing the lock can be easily performed.
[0012]
That is, according to the present invention, in a female plug of an optical connector having a detachable adapter unit, if the attaching / detaching mechanism of the adapter unit is configured using a bayonet lock, an adapter unit that can be detached in a very easy and short time can be provided. Thus, a female plug of the optical connector provided can be realized.
Further, according to the above configuration, it is possible or easy to configure the attaching / detaching mechanism so that no tool is required for attaching / detaching the adapter unit.
[0013]
[0014]
The adapter unit is provided with a shaft (hereinafter, may be referred to as an “adapter shaft”) for transmitting a turning operation for opening and closing the bayonet lock. When the adapter unit is detached, the shaft that transmits the rotating operation for opening and closing the bayonet lock is also detached at the same time, so such a shaft becomes an obstacle when cleaning the end face of the tip of the ferrule Very convenient without any.
[0015]
Further, a hook bolt provided with a bayonet lock groove that can be fitted to the end A of the shaft located on the side opposite to the male plug side is provided on the female plug shell.
A hook bolt provided with such a bayonet lock groove (for example, FIG. 5) embodies a female thread structure of a bayonet lock. Of course, the end A of the shaft is formed using such a hook bolt. You may. However, when the female screw structure of the bayonet lock is mounted on the female plug shell side rather than on the adapter unit side, it is easier to design a structure in which the female plug shell side can be easily assembled. This is because the hook bolt literally has the function of a bolt as clearly illustrated in the embodiments (FIGS. 3, 4, and 5) described later.
In addition, a spring is provided that pushes the end B located on the male plug side of the shaft toward the front of the substantially distal end of the female plug by extending when releasing the bayonet lock. The adapter unit can be detached from the female plug by further pulling the end B in the same direction.
When the adapter unit is pulled out after releasing the bayonet lock, if the adapter unit has a built-in shaft, the adapter unit can be detached together with the adapter shaft by pulling the end B thereof. Therefore, if the end portion B jumps forward when pulling the end portion B, the end portion B becomes easy to hold immediately and the adapter unit can be detached very easily, which is very convenient.
Also, since a spring portion can be provided, this is convenient when the adapter unit is pulled out.
[0016]
Further, the second means is such that in the first means, at the end A, two projections substantially orthogonal to the shaft are provided, and at least a part of an engagement groove to be engaged with a flathead screwdriver is provided. The hook bolt is formed by using a part of the bayonet lock groove.
For example, a hook bolt as illustrated in an embodiment (FIG. 5) described later is provided with such an engagement groove, so that a minus screwdriver can be used for fastening the hook bolt. Since it becomes possible or easy, the female plug can be made to have a structure that is easy to assemble.
[0017]
Further, it is desirable that the end portion B located on the male plug side of the shaft be disposed substantially at the center of the substantially distal end of the female plug. If the adapter unit is disposed substantially at the end of the female plug, the attachment / detachment operation of the adapter unit becomes easy. In addition, if it is arranged substantially at the center, when the end portion B is pressed when the bayonet lock is released or fastened, the force is easily directed toward the center of gravity of the female plug, so that operational stability can be secured. .
[0018]
In particular, when manufacturing a female plug having a structure in which the female plug is internally held by the female plug shell, the adapter unit is usually arranged at a position slightly recessed from the opening of the female plug shell. This is to sufficiently protect the adapter unit with the female plug shell. In such a case, the end B located on the male plug side of the shaft is disposed substantially at the center of the substantially distal end of the female plug. For example, when attaching or detaching the adapter unit, it is convenient to insert a finger into a position slightly behind the opening of the female plug and push, pinch, or turn the end B with a finger or the like.
[0019]
[0020]
[0021]
Further, the third means is a fingertip operating part for opening / closing a bayonet lock or taking out an adapter unit near the end B located on the male plug side of the shaft in the first or second means. Is provided.
Such a fingertip operating section is for making the operation of the end B with the fingertip easier, and is preferably configured according to, for example, the following means.
[0022]
That is, a fourth means is that, in the third means, an O-ring, a cap, or a knob formed using a rubber-based or resin-based material is provided on the fingertip operation section.
According to such a configuration, when pushing or turning or pushing around the end B with the fingertip, the finger is hard to slip, the end B is easily held, and the finger is hurt even if the end B is operated many times. Advantages such as being difficult to obtain are obtained.
[0023]
Further, the fingertip operating section may be provided with a substantially butterfly-shaped head which can be easily or easily tightened or loosened only by the force of the finger.
[0024]
However, the butterfly shape referred to here is, for example, a well-known so-called wing nut or the head of a wing screw as illustrated in FIG. It is the shape of the head that can be easily inserted.
For example, according to such a configuration, the above-mentioned fingertip operation section can be formed in a shape with higher operability.
[0025]
A fifth means is the first means according to any one of the first to fourth means, wherein the bayonet lock groove guides the convex portion of the shaft in the center axis direction along the attaching / detaching direction of the adapter unit. That is, a guide groove and a second guide groove for guiding the convex portion of the shaft in a rotation direction around the central axis are provided.
A sixth means is the fifth means, wherein the bayonet lock mechanism is provided at an end of the second guide groove, and has a substantially cylindrical round groove for stably maintaining the locked state of the lock. It is characterized by the following.
[0026]
Such a round groove portion is suitable for improving the fit of the convex portion on the male side of the lock, and works well in stably maintaining the locked state of the lock. In particular, when a spring is provided to push the above-mentioned end portion B substantially forward of the distal end of the female plug, the male side of the lock is urged by the elastic force of the spring. It is pressed by the round groove. Therefore, unless a force in the direction of contracting the spring is applied to the spring by an unlocking operation or the like, the male convex portion of the lock does not come off the position.
By the means of the present invention described above, the above problems can be effectively or rationally solved.
[0027]
