を該バッグと共に略気密に囲繞収納するエアバッグケー

インフレータに取着する開口部を有するインフレータ側
基布の外周縁部に、乗員側基布の外周縁部を縫着してな
る運転席用エアバッグであって、上記インフレータ側基
布の開口周縁部付近から、インフレータ側もしくは乗員
側基布の外周縁付近に亘らせて、これら各部間の基布の
長さより所要短い短冊状の規制部材を複数、放射状に取
着せしめ、上記規制部材によってインフレータ側基布に
所定のたるみを形成させてエアバッグの展開時にこのた
るみ部をハンドルの外周に膨出させる構成を有してい

うる本発明のエアバッグは、インフレータを取着する開
口部を有するインフレータ側基布と、該インフレータ側
基布とほぼ等しい外形を有する乗員側基布と、インフ
レータ側基布にたるみを形成させるための規制部材用布
とよりなり、上記インフレータ側基布と上記乗員側基布
とが外周縁部で縫合されるとともに、上記規制部材用布
が上記インフレータ側基布と乗員側基布との間で上記イ
ンフレータ側基布の開口周縁部と外周縁部とを連結して
なる運転席用エアバッグであって、上記規制部材用布
は、上記インフレータ側基布とほぼ等しい外形と開口部
とを有し、かつ該開口部の回りに上記インフレータの噴
出ガスを連通させる連通穴が放射状に複数穿設されたも
のよりなり、該規制部材用布の開口周縁部と外周縁部と
が上記インフレータ側基布の開口周縁部と外周縁部とに
縫合されるとともに、上記連通穴同士の間に形成された
複数の帯状部が、それぞれ長さ方向中間部で2つ折り状
につままれて縫合されることにより、その長さが縮めら
