To protect and knee of the occupant that moves forward by inertia force when the, the shock absorbing device at the rear of the steering column
It is known to provide such a device (for example, Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 61-36)
No. 433). [0003] The shock absorbing device disclosed in the above publication is known as a vehicle.
The impact force when the occupant's knee hits at the time of both collisions
It extends in the left-right direction of the vehicle to absorb
Bei absorbent member that deforms forwardly receiving the above impact force
There Ete. [0004] The present invention is, however, the direction of the force applied from the passenger-side protection member during longitudinal direction of the vehicle
Not just parallel to the cord, it may become oblique direction. For example, according to the above shock absorber,
Depending on the direction, the shape of the deformation of the absorbing member is not constant, and
What it is contemplated that such can properly absorb the impact Kunar. [0005] The present invention has been devised to solve the problems of the prior art as described above, the number of parts and assembly
With a simple structure that does not increase the number of
Accordingly, it is an object of the present invention to provide a shock absorbing device capable of reliably and properly absorbing an impact force at the time of a collision or the like. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION In order to achieve the above object, the present invention relates to a shock absorbing device for protecting a knee portion of a passenger who moves forward when a vehicle stops suddenly, comprising: of
One end fixed to the first high rigidity part and the impact force to the front
Therefore, the second high-rigidity portion of the vehicle body is
The other end of the vehicle extends in the left-right direction of the vehicle.
Deformed in the longitudinal direction from the middle portion to the other end to
A protective member for absorbing an impact force Te, third rigid portion of the vehicle body
Is connected to the front end fixed to the other end of the protection member.
The rear end of the vehicle
Substantially the impact force Nde flexures in a longitudinal direction while extending in the longitudinal direction
An impact absorbing device, comprising: an absorbing member that absorbs. Preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a main part of a vehicle in which a shock absorbing device for a front passenger seat to which the present invention is applied is seen from a seat side, and FIG. 2 is a configuration of the shock absorbing device. It is a top view which shows simply. As viewed from the seat side of the pipe 1 forming a part of the body frame to the right end portion which is fixed to the panel-like
The first rear end of the rigid portion 2 of the body Nasu, right end portion of the substantially strip-shaped protective member (3) extending in the vehicle body of the left and right side
direction is fixed. Further, the left end portion of the protective member (3), tilting of a part
Allowed to be connected by bolts to an end after the absorbent member 4 that Mashimasu extending substantially in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body. Body front end of the absorbent member 4 is the cross-sectional shape which is fixed to the pipe 1 has a substantially C-shaped
Is fixed to the third high- rigidity portion 5. Here, when a forward impact force is applied , the absorbing part 4 is inclined to the inclined intermediate part 4.
The impact force is absorbed while deforming to form an S shape from a. The protection member 3 is adapted to its albeit with a middle portion the deformation of the absorbent member 4 to the right end portion curved with absorbing member 4 absorbs the impact force. The protective member 3 and the absorbent member 4 is appropriate recess or the bent portion is formed, so that the necessary stiffness is obtained. [0009] the rear end of the absorbent member 4 in the left end portion of the protective member 3
The tip 3a on the left side of the part bolted to

are doing. As a result, the protective member 3 is subjected to an impact of a predetermined value or more.
When force is applied to the forward, tip 3a is adapted to release
de-available from the bracket 6. [0010] Note that the front surface of the protective member 3, i.e. the surface facing the knee of the rider is covered by the interior portion
member 7 having a degree of cushioning, the interior member by 7, an impact force when the knee of the occupant to strike the protective member 3 is adapted to be some extent absorbed. The operation of this embodiment will be described below. First, the passenger 's knee strikes during a vehicle collision.
Te resulting impact force is Tsutawa the protective member 3 via the interior member 7
If that, if the force is greater than a predetermined value, the protection member 3
Deforms forward and its tip 3a separates from bracket 6
I do. And gradually forward protection member 3 and the absorbent member 4
While deformation to absorb the impact force (Fig. 3). At this time, since the right end portion of the protecting member 3 is fixed to the first rigid portion 2 of the vehicle body, without providing a like guide member
for defining the direction of deformation, the protective member 3, the absorbing member 4 is deformed into a predetermined desired shape while controlling its deformation direction. As is apparent from the above description, according to the shock absorbing device of the present invention, the shock absorbing device is connected to the protective member.
Since the absorbing member is deformed while its deformation direction is controlled,
Deformation of the absorbing member can be achieved without additional means for defining the direction of deformation.
The shape direction can be made constant. Therefore, the number of parts Ya
It is possible to reliably and properly absorb the impact force at the time of a collision or the like without increasing the number of assembling work steps.
