【発明の詳細な説明】 【０００１】 【発明の属する技術分野】この発明は、テレビジョン受
像機に関し、少なくともＣＳ放送等のデジタル衛星放送
を受信できるテレビジョン受像機に関する。 【０００２】 【従来の技術】ＣＳ放送等のデジタル衛星放送システム
においては、たとえば、７０以上の多数のチャンネルが
用意されており、多数の番組が提供されている。このシ
ステムでは、現在放送されている番組および将来放送さ
れる番組の案内情報が本来の番組データとともに所定時
間間隔で伝送されている。デジタル衛星放送を受信でき
るテレビジョン受像機は、番組案内情報に基づいて、番
組案内画面（番組案内表）を表示する機能を備えてい
る。 【０００３】このようなテレビジョン受像機には、たと
えば、受信された全番組案内情報に対応する全番組案内
表内の一部の番組案内表が番組案内画面に表示される。
番組案内画面には、たとえば、縦軸を時間軸とし、横軸
をチャンネル番号軸として、複数の番組案内がマトリッ
クス状に表示される。たとえば、３つのチャンネルに対
する番組であって、３時間分の番組が番組案内画面に表
示される。 【０００４】番組案内画面上には、番組を指定したり、
番組案内画面をスクロールさせたりするためのカーソル
が表示される。このカーソルの移動は、カーソル移動キ
ーを操作することによって行なわれる。上または下方向
移動のためのカーソル移動キーを操作するごとに、カー
ソルは時間軸方向に移動する。また、左または右方向移
動のためのカーソル移動キーを操作するごとに、カーソ
ルはチャンネル軸方向に移動する。そして、番組案内画
面に表示された番組案内表の端までカーソルが移動する
と、番組案内画面がスクロールされる。番組案内画面に
表示された番組案内表内においてカーソルによって選局
したい番組を選択した後、決定キーを押すと、カーソル
によって選択されている番組が選局される。 【０００５】ところで、テレビジョン受像機として、地
上波放送番組、ＢＳ放送番組およびＣＳ放送番組を受信
できるものが開発されている。テレビジョン受像機にお
けるリモコン送信機等の操作部には、通常、１２個の地
上波放送番組選局キーおよび８個のＢＳ放送番組選局キ
ーが設けられている。しかしながら、ＣＳ放送番組にお
けるチャンネル数は非常に多いため、チャンネル毎の番
組選局キーは設けられてない。このため、ＣＳ放送番組
におけるチャンネル選択は、番組案内画面上で行なう
か、チャンネルスキップキーによって行なわれている。
ＣＳ放送番組におけるチャンネル選局を、チャンネルス
キップキーによって行なう場合には、希望するチャンネ
ルを選局するのに時間がかかるという問題がある。 【０００６】 【発明が解決しようとする課題】この発明は、チャンネ
ルスキップキーが操作されたときに、スキップされるチ
ャンネル範囲を、複数のチャンネル範囲から選択でき、
ＣＳ放送番組におけるチンネル選局を短時間に行なうこ
とが可能となるテレビジョン受像機を提供することを目
的とする。 【０００７】 【０００８】 【課題を解決するための手段】この発明によるテレビジ
ョン受像機は、選局チャンネルをスキップさせるための
チャンネルスキップキー、チャンネルスキップキーによ
ってスキップさせる選局チャンネル範囲を、複数種類の
チャンネル範囲からユーザに選択させるための選局チャ
ンネル範囲設定手段、およびチャンネルスキップキーが
操作されたときに、選局チャンネル範囲設定手段によっ
て設定されている選局チャンネル範囲内で、選局チャン
ネルをスキップさせる選局チャンネルスキップ手段を備
えており、選局チャンネル範囲設定手段は、ＣＳ放送に
おける全チャンネル範囲と、ＣＳ放送における無料チャ
ンネルおよび契約済チャンネルからなる無料・契約チャ
ンネル範囲と、ＣＳ放送における全チャンネル範囲のう
ちから予めユーザがお好みチャンネルとして登録してい
るチャンネルからなるお好みチャンネル範囲とのうちか
ら、選局チャンネル範囲をユーザに選択させるものであ
ることを特徴とする。 【０００９】 【００１０】 【００１１】 【００１２】 【発明の実施の形態】以下、図面を参照して、この発明
を、地上波放送、ＢＳ放送およびＣＳ放送を受信できる
テレビジョン受像機に適用した場合の実施の形態につい
て説明する。 【００１３】ＣＳ放送によって提供される番組には、Ｃ
Ｓ放送システムへの加入のための料金および基本料金等
のシステム利用料を支払えば無料で見ることができる無
料番組と、システム利用料とは別に課金される有料番組
とがある。また、有料番組には、予めチャンネル単位で
購入するものと、視聴した場合にのみ課金されるもの
（ＰＰＶ: pay per view ) とがある。ＰＰＶ番組を視
聴するためには、番組が開始される前にまたはその番組
が放送されているときに、テレビ画面上で購入手続きを
行なう必要がある。 【００１４】〔１〕テレビジョン受像機の構成の説明 【００１５】図１は、テレビジョン受像機の構成を示し
ている。 【００１６】地上波放送波は、地上波アンテナ１を介し
て地上波チューナ２に送られる。地上波チューナ２から
得られた第１のオーディオ・ビデオ信号（ＡＶ信号）
は、信号切替器７に送られる。 【００１７】放送衛星（ＢＳ）を利用したＢＳ放送波
は、ＢＳアンテナ３を介してＢＳチューナ４に送られ
る。ＢＳチューナ４から得られた第２のオーディオ・ビ
デオ信号（ＡＶ信号）は、信号切替器７に送られる。 【００１８】通信衛星（ＣＳ）を利用したＣＳ放送波
は、ＣＳアンテナ５を介してＣＳディジタル受信回路６
に送られる。ＣＳディジタル受信回路６から得られた第
３のオーディオ・ビデオ信号（ＡＶ信号）は、信号切替
器７に送られる。ＣＳディジタル受信回路６から得られ
た番組案内情報等の付加情報は、システムコントローラ
１１に送られる。 【００１９】システムコントローラ１１には、ＣＳ放送
番組に対する契約情報等が格納されたメモリカード８か
らの情報が入力される。さらに、システムコントローラ
１１には、リモコン送信機９からのリモコン信号がリモ
コン受光器１０を介して入力される。 【００２０】システムコントローラ１１は、上記各チュ
ーナ２、４、６に選局のための情報等を送るとともに信
号切替器７に受信モードに応じた切替信号を送る。受信
モードには、地上波放送番組受信モード、ＢＳ放送番組
受信モードおよびＣＳ放送受信モードとがある。また、
システムコントローラ１１は、ＣＳ放送に対する番組案
内画面、ＣＳ放送に対する各種設定画面等をＣＲＴ１７
にオンスクリーン表示させるためのＯＳＤ信号を、ＯＳ
Ｄ表示回路１２に送る。ＯＳＤ表示回路１２は、オンス
クリーン画像情報を、スーパインポーズ回路１３に送
る。 【００２１】信号切替器７は、システムコントローラ１
１から送られてきた切替信号に基づいて、第１、第２お
よび第３のＡＶ信号のうちの１つを選択し、選択したＡ
Ｖ信号に含まれている映像信号と音声信号とを出力す
る。 【００２２】信号切替器７から出力された映像信号は、
スーパインポーズ回路１３に送られる。スーパインポー
ズ回路１３は、信号切替器７から出力された映像信号と
ＯＳＤ表示回路１２から送られてきたオンスクリーン画
像情報とに基づいて、選局番組の映像上にオンスクリー
ン画像がオンスクリーン表示されるような映像信号を生
成する。スーパインポーズ回路１３から出力された映像
信号は映像出力回路１４を介して、偏向回路１５および
高圧回路１６を備えたＣＲＴ１７に送られる。 【００２３】信号切替器７から出力された音声信号は、
音声処理回路１８および音声出力回路１９を介してスピ
ーカ２０に送られる。 【００２４】〔１−１〕ＣＳディジタル受信回路６の構
成の説明 【００２５】図２は、図１のＣＳディジタル受信回路６
の構成を示している。 【００２６】入力端子２１には、ＣＳアンテナ５からの
高周波信号が入力される。入力端子２１に入力された信
号はチューナ２２に送られ、高周波処理が行なわれる。
チューナ２２の出力は、ＱＰＳＫ復調回路２３に送ら
れ、ＱＰＳＫ復調が行なわれる。ＱＰＳＫ復調回路２３
の出力は、デスクランブル２４に送られ、必要があれば
スクランブルが解除せしめられる。 【００２７】デスクランブル２４の出力はＤＥＭＵＸ２
５に送られ、パケットの復号が行なわれる。ＤＥＭＵＸ
２５の出力は、ＡＶデコーダ２６に送られ、ＭＰＥＧデ
コードが行なわれる。ＡＶデコーダ２６から出力される
音声信号は、オーディオＤＡ変換回路２７に送られ、ア
ナログの音声信号に変換される。ＡＶデコーダ２６から
出力される映像信号は、ＮＴＳＣエンコーダ２８に送ら
れ、ＮＴＳＣ信号に変換される。 【００２８】なお、ＤＥＭＵＸ２５は、入力信号から番
組案内情報、現在時刻を表す時刻情報等を抽出して、シ
ステムコントローラ１１に供給する。システムコントロ
ーラ１１は、送られてきた番組案内情報および時刻情報
を、図示しない記憶装置に記憶する。記憶装置には、さ
らに、メニュー画面を表示させるためのメニュー画面情
報、各種設定画面を表示させるための設定画面情報、そ
の他の情報が記憶されている。 【００２９】〔１−２〕リモコン送信機９の構成の説明 【００３０】図３および図４は、リモコン送信機９の外
観を示している。 【００３１】リモコン送信機９は、第１操作部３１を構
成する上側部２Ｕと、第２および第３操作部３２、３３
を構成する下側部２Ｄとからなる。上側部２Ｕの上端の
端面に、リモコン送信機９からリモコン受光器１０に情
報を送信するための赤外線送信部（図示略）が設けられ
ている。下側部２Ｄは、第２操作部３２を構成する開閉
蓋を備えている。開閉蓋３２の下側に第３操作部３３が
構成されている。 【００３２】第１操作部３１には、主として、地上波放
送番組またはＢＳ放送番組を視聴する際に操作されるキ
ーが設けられている。つまり、第１操作部３１には、電
源キー、２画面モード選択キー、操作切替キー、静止キ
ー、チャンネルリターンキー、テレビ／ビデオ切替キ
ー、ＣＡＴＶキー、消音キー、ＣＳ放送番組を視聴する
ために操作されるＣＳキー４１、１〜１２チャンネルに
割り当てられた地上波放送番組を選択するための地上波
放送番組選局キー、１から１５までの奇数チャンネルに
割り当てられたＢＳ放送番組（場合によってはＣＳ放送
番組）を選択するためのＢＳ放送番組選局キー５１〜５
８、選局チャンネルをスキップさせるためのチャンネル
スキップキー６１、６２および音量調整キーが設けられ
ている。 【００３３】上述したように、受信モードには、地上波
放送番組受信モード、ＢＳ放送番組受信モードおよびＣ
Ｓ放送受信モードとがある。原則的には、地上波放送番
組選局キーが操作されると受信モードは地上波放送番組
受信モードとなり、ＢＳ放送番組選局キー５１〜５８が
操作されるとＢＳ放送番組受信モードとなり、ＣＳキー
４１が操作されるとＣＳ放送番組受信モードとなる。た
だし、この実施の形態では、後述するように、ＢＳ放送
番組選局キー５１〜５８をＣＳ放送番組選局キーとして
も用いることが可能であるので、ＣＳ放送受信モード時
においてＢＳ放送番組選局キー５１〜５８が操作されて
も、受信モードがＢＳ放送受信モードに変化しない場合
もある。 【００３４】第２操作部３２には、受信モードがＣＳ放
送受信モード時にのみ有効なキーが設けられている。つ
まり、第２操作部３２には、ＣＳ放送に対する番組案内
画面を表示させるための番組ガイド表示キー７１、番組
案内画面に対する表示設定を行なわせるための番組ガイ
ド設定キー７２、各種設定を行なうためのメインメニュ
ー画面を表示させるためのメニューキー７３、上下左右
にカーソルをそれぞれ移動させるためのカーソルキー８
１〜８４、決定キー８５等が設けられている。 【００３５】第３操作部３３には、テレビジョン受像機
の基本的な設定を行うための各種キーが設けられてい
る。 【００３６】〔２〕ＣＳ放送の番組案内画面についての
説明 【００３７】図５は、番組ガイド表示キー７１が操作さ
れた場合にＣＲＴ１７に表示される番組案内画面の一例
を示している。番組案内画面には、所定範囲内の全番組
案内情報に対応する全番組案内表の一部の番組案内表１
００が表示される。番組案内表１００には、縦軸を時間
軸とし、横軸をチャンネル番号軸として、複数の番組案
内がマトリックス状に表示される。この例では、番組案
内表１００には、３つのチャンネルに対する３時間分の
番組が表示される。 【００３８】番組案内表１００内の各列の上欄には、チ
ャンネル番号が表示されている。また、各チャンネルに
対応した列に、そのチャンネルによって放送される各番
組の時間帯を示す枠が表示されており、各枠内にタイト
ル名（ａ〜ｋ）が表示されている。番組案内表１００の
上方の表示欄１０１には、カーソルによって現在選択さ
れている番組に関する情報、つまりカーソルによって選
択されている番組のチャンネル番号、その番組の放送時
間帯および番組名が表示される。 【００３９】メインメニュー画面上には、番組を指定し
たり、番組案内画面をスクロールさせたりするためのカ
ーソルが表示される。このカーソルの移動は、上、下、
左、右の各方向ごとに設けられた４つのカーソルキー８
１〜８４を操作することによって行なわれる。カーソル
が番組案内表１００内に位置している場合において、上
または下方向移動のためのカーソルキー（カーソル上下
移動キー）８１、８２を操作するごとに、カーソルは、
時間軸方向に移動する。また、カーソルが番組案内表１
００内に位置している場合において、左または右方向移
動のためのカーソルキー（カーソル左右移動キー）８
３、８４を操作するごとに、カーソルは、チャンネル軸
方向に移動する。 【００４０】番組案内表１００の左側には、番組案内表
１００に表示されうるチャンネル範囲を示すマーク１０
３と、番組案内表１００に表示されている番組の放送日
と、番組案内表１００に表示されている番組の放送時刻
とが表示されている。番組案内表１００に表示されうる
チャンネル範囲は、後述するようにチャンネル設定によ
って設定される。番組案内表１００に表示されうるチャ
ンネル範囲を示すマークは、実際には、チャンネル設定
によって設定された内容に応じて変化するが、以下の図
面においては同一のマークを図示することにする。 【００４１】番組案内表１００に表示されている番組の
放送時刻は、縦長の表示枠１０２内に帯グラフ状に表示
される。表示枠１０２内には、現在、番組案内表１００
に表示されている番組の放送時刻を表示するための１時
間単位の時刻表示部が縦に並んで設けられている。この
実施の形態では、１日を構成する２４時間が、たとえ
ば、朝、昼、晩といように、予め複数の時間帯に分けら
れており、各時間帯毎に異なる色が割り当てられてい
る。そして、表示枠１０２に表示される各時刻表示部
は、その時刻が属する時間帯に割り当てられている色で
カラー表示されている。 【００４２】また、この実施の形態では、図６に示すよ
うに、表示枠１０２の上端部の形状としては、四角形状
（図６（ａ））と上向きの三角形状（図６（ｂ）、
（ｃ））との２種類がある。同様に、表示枠１０２の下
端部の形状としては、四角形状（図６（ｃ））と下向き
の三角形状（図６（ａ）、（ｂ））との２種類がある。 【００４３】表示枠１０２に現在表示されている時刻表
示の開始時刻が現在時刻である場合には、それ以前の番
組案内はスクロールによっても表示されないので、表示
枠１０２の上端部は、上記時刻表示の開始時刻以前の番
組案内がスクロールによっても表示されないことを示す
ために、図６（ａ）に示すように四角形状にされる。表
示枠１０２に現在表示されている時刻表示の開始時刻が
現在時刻でなく、それ以前の番組案内をスクロールによ
って表示させることが可能な場合には、表示枠１０２の
上端部は、上記時刻表示の開始時刻前の番組案内をスク
ロールによって表示させることが可能であることを示す
ために、図６（ｂ）、（ｃ）に示すように上向きの三角
形状にされる。 【００４４】表示枠１０２に現在表示されている時刻表
示の最終時刻以降の番組案内をスクロールによっても表
示させることができない場合には、そのことを示すため
に、表示枠１０２の下端部は、図６（ｃ）に示すように
四角形状にされる。表示枠１０２に現在表示されている
時刻表示の最終時刻以降の番組案内をスクロールによっ
て表示させることができる場合には、そのことを示すた
めに、表示枠１０２の下端部は、図６（ａ）、（ｂ）に
示すように下向きの三角形状とされる。 【００４５】〔３〕ＣＳ放送の番組案内画面の表示設定
についての説明 【００４６】番組案内表１００に表示される番組案内の
範囲を指定するために、次のような表示設定ができるよ
うになっている。 【００４７】（１）表示チャンネル設定：番組案内表１
００に表示されるチャンネルを限定するための設定 （２）表示日設定：番組案内表１００に表示される日を
指定するための設定 （３）表示時刻設定：番組案内表１００に表示される時
刻範囲を指定するための設定 【００４８】番組ガイド設定キー７２を操作した後、カ
ーソルキー（カーソル上下移動キー）８１、８２を操作
することによって、表示チャンネル設定画面、表示日設
定画面および表示時刻設定画面を順次ＣＲＴ１７に表示
させることができる。 【００４９】〔３−１〕表示チャンネル設定についての
説明 【００５０】図７は、表示チャンネル設定画面を示して
いる。 【００５１】表示チャンネル設定画面には、全チャンネ
ルを番組案内表示可能なチャンネル範囲として指定する
ためのボタン１１１、ＰＰＶチャンネルを番組案内表示
可能なチャンネル範囲として指定するためのボタン１１
２、契約チャンネルを番組案内表示可能なチャンネル範
囲として指定するためのボタン１１３、ラジオチャンネ
ルを番組案内表示可能なチャンネル範囲として指定する
ためのボタン１１４、お好みチャンネルを番組案内表示
可能なチャンネル範囲として指定するためのボタン１１
５、各種のカテゴリーに適合したチャンネルを番組案内
表示可能なチャンネル範囲として指定するためのボタン
１２１〜１２８が設けられている。お好みチャンネルと
は、ユーザが後述するお好みチャンネル設定において設
定したチャンネルをいう。 【００５２】ユーザは、これらのボタンのうち、希望す
る１つのボタンをカーソルキー８１〜８４で選択した
後、決定キー８５を押せば、選択されたボタンに対応す
るチャンネルが番組案内表示可能なチャンネル範囲とし
て設定される。 【００５３】表示チャンネル設定画面内の左側部には、
表示チャンネル設定ボタン１３１、表示日設定ボタン１
３２、表示時刻設定ボタン１３３および番組案内画面表
示ボタン１３４が設けられている。 【００５４】表示チャンネル設定ボタン１３１には、現
在設定されている番組案内表示可能なチャンネル範囲を
示すマークが表示されている。表示チャンネル設定ボタ
ン１３１は、通常は矩形であるが、表示チャンネル設定
画面においては、現画面が表示チャンネル設定画面であ
ることを明示するために、その右端が三角形となるよう
に変形して表示されている。 【００５５】表示日設定ボタン１３２には、現在設定さ
れている表示日が表示されている。表示日設定ボタン１
３２がカーソルキー８１〜８４で選択された後、決定キ
ー８５が操作されれば、表示画面が表示日設定画面に変
化する。 【００５６】表示時間帯設定ボタン１３３には、現在設
定されている表示時刻が表示されている。表示時刻設定
ボタン１３３がカーソルキー８１〜８４で選択された
後、決定キー８５が操作されれば、表示画面が表示時刻
設定画面に変化する。 【００５７】番組案内画面表示ボタン１３４がカーソル
キー８１〜８４で選択された後、決定キー８５が操作さ
れれば、現在設定されているチャンネル範囲、表示日お
よび表示時刻が表示された後、現在設定されているチャ
ンネル範囲、表示日および表示時刻に適合した番組案内
画面が表示される。 【００５８】〔３−２〕表示日設定についての説明 【００５９】図８は、表示日設定画面を示している。 【００６０】表示日設定画面には、現在の日に対応する
日から１週間分の各日を示す７個の日付ボタン１４１〜
１４７が表示される。ユーザは、これらのボタン１４１
〜１４７のうち、希望する１つのボタンをカーソルキー
８１〜８４で選択した後、決定キー８５を押せば、選択
されたボタンに対応する日が表示日として設定される。 【００６１】表示日設定画面内の左側部には、表示チャ
ンネル設定ボタン１３１、表示日設定ボタン１３２、表
示時刻設定ボタン１３３および番組案内画面表示ボタン
１３４が設けられている。表示チャンネル設定ボタン１
３１がカーソルキー８１〜８４で選択された後、決定キ
ー８５が操作されれば、表示画面が表示チャンネル設定
画面に変化する。表示日設定ボタン１３２は、通常は矩
形であるが、表示日設定画面においては、現画面が表示
日設定画面であることを明示するために、その右端が三
角形となるように変形して表示されている。 【００６２】表示時刻設定ボタン１３３がカーソルキー
８１〜８４で選択された後、決定キー８５が操作されれ
ば、表示画面が表示時刻設定画面に変化する。番組案内
画面表示ボタン１３４がカーソルキー８１〜８４で選択
された後、決定キー８５が操作されれば、現在設定され
ているチャンネル範囲、表示日および表示時刻が表示さ
れた後、現在設定されているチャンネル範囲、表示日お
よび表示時刻に適合した番組案内画面が表示される。 【００６３】〔３−３〕表示時刻設定についての説明 【００６４】図９および図１０は、表示時刻設定画面を
示している。 【００６５】表示時刻設定画面においては、その中央の
矩形領域１５０内に、表示開始時刻を時計の模式図で表
示する時計画像１５１と表示時間帯をその時計画像１５
１を扇形でかつ背景色と異なる色で明示する時間帯表示
１５２とが表示される。 【００６６】矩形領域１５０の上方の左部に現在設定さ
れている表示日に対応する曜日が表示される。また、矩
形領域１５０の上方の右部に午前または午後を表す情報
（ＡＭまたはＰＭ）が表示される。 【００６７】矩形領域１５０の右側には、時刻を進める
ための正ボタン１６１と、時刻を戻すため負ボタン１６
２とが上下に間隔をおいて配置されている。カーソル
が、正ボタン１６１上に位置している状態においてカー
ソルキー８１を押すごとに時計画像１５１および時間帯
表示１５２が、時刻が進む方向に変化する。カーソル
が、負ボタン１６２上に位置している状態においてカー
ソルキー８２を押すごとに時計画像１５１および時間帯
表示１５２が、時刻が戻る方向に変化する。そして、決
定キー８５が操作されると、現在、時間帯表示１５２で
示されている時間帯が、表示時刻として設定される。 【００６８】表示時刻設定画面内の左側部には、表示チ
ャンネル設定ボタン１３１、表示日設定ボタン１３２、
表示時刻設定ボタン１３３および番組案内画面表示ボタ
ン１３４が設けられている。表示チャンネル設定ボタン
１３１がカーソルキー８１〜８４で選択された後、決定
キー８５が操作されれば、表示画面が表示チャンネル設
定画面に変化する。表示日設定ボタン１３２がカーソル
キー８１〜８４で選択された後、決定キー８５が操作さ
れれば、表示画面が表示日設定に変化する。 【００６９】表示時刻設定ボタン１３３には、時計画像
１５１と時間帯表示１５２に対応する時間帯が表示され
る。表示時刻設定ボタン１３３は、通常は矩形である
が、表示時刻設定画面においては、現画面が表示時刻設
定画面であることを明示するために、その右端が三角形
となるように変形して表示されている。番組案内画面表
示ボタン１３４がカーソルキー８１〜８４で選択された
後、決定キー８５が操作されれば、現在設定されている
チャンネル範囲、表示日および表示時刻が表示された
後、現在設定されているチャンネル範囲、表示日および
表示時刻に適合した番組案内画面が表示される。 【００７０】図１１および図１２は、表示時間帯設定画
面の変形例を示している。 【００７１】図１１の例では、図９と比べて時間帯表示
の仕方が異なっている。つまり、図１１の例では、時間
帯は扇形で表示されるのではなく、時計画像１５１に、
表示時間帯を示す３時間分に対応する３つの時刻が背景
色と異なる色の数字で表示されている。 【００７２】図１２の例では、午前の１２時間を示す縦
長の帯状表示部１６１と、午後の１２時間を示す縦長の

帯が設定される。 【００７３】〔４〕ユーザ設定についての説明 【００７４】このテレビジョン受像機では、ＣＳ放送番
組に対して次のようなユーザ設定を行なうことができ
る。 【００７５】（１）お好みチャンネル設定：ユーザがお
好みのチャンネルを設定する。 （２）チャンネルスキップ設定：チャンネルスキップキ
ー６１、６２によってＣＳ放送の選局チャンネルを切り
替える場合に、切り替えられるチャンネル範囲を設定す
る。 （３）プリセット設定：ＢＳチャンネルキー５１〜５８
に、ＣＳ放送に対するチャンネルを割り当てる。 【００７６】上記（１）の設定を行なっておくことによ
り、次のようなことができる。つまり、上述した表示チ
ャンネル設定において、お好みチャンネルを指定するこ
とにより、番組案内画面に表示される番組案内のチャン
ネル範囲をお好み設定によって設定されたチャンネルに
限定させることが可能となる。また、チャンネルスキッ
プ設定において、後述するように、お好みチャンネルを
指定することにより、チャンネルスキップキー６１、６
２によって切り替えられる選局チャンネル範囲をお好み
設定によって設定されたチャンネルに限定させることが
可能となる。さらに、プリセット設定において、後述す
るように、自動設定を指定することにより、ＢＳチャン
ネルキー５１〜５８に、お好み設定によって設定された
チャンネルを自動的に割り当てることができる。 【００７７】これらのユーザ設定を説明するために前
に、システムコントローラ内の記憶装置に設けられてい
るテーブル等について説明する。 【００７８】番組案内画面を表示させめためのインデッ
クステーブルおよび表示テーブルについては、既に説明
したので、それ以外のテーブルであって、ユーザ設定に
関係するテーブルと、ユーザ設定に関係するフラグにつ
いて説明する。 【００７９】記憶装置には、インデックステーブルおよ
び表示テーブルの他に、全チャンネルテーブル、無料・
契約テーブル、お好みチャンネルテーブル、プリセット
テーブル等が設けられている。 【００８０】全チャンネルテーブル２０１には、図１３
に示すように、受信可能なＣＳ放送のチャンネル番号が
昇順に記憶されている。 【００８１】無料・契約テーブル２０２には、図１４に
示すように、全チャンネルテーブルに記憶されたチャン
ネル番号のうち、無料チャンネルおよびユーザが契約し
ている契約チャンネルのチャンネル番号が昇順に記憶さ
れている。 【００８２】お好みチャンネルテーブル２０３には、こ
の例では、図１５に示すように、８個のお好みチャンネ
ルに対して、お好みチャンネル設定によって設定された
チャンネル番号を登録することが可能である。お好みチ
ャンネルテーブル２０３には、お好みチャンネル設定に
よって設定されたチャンネル番号が昇順に記憶される。 【００８３】プリセットキーテーブル２０４には、図１
６に示すように、ＢＳ番組選局キー５１〜５８毎に、プ
リセット設定によって設定されたチャンネルが記憶され
る。 【００８４】フラグには、受信モードフラグＦ１、スキ
ップモードフラグＦ２、プリセット有効無効フラグＦ
３、プリセット設定モードフラグＦ４等がある。 【００８５】受信モードフラグＦ１は、地上波放送受信
モード、ＢＳ放送受信モードおよびＣＳ放送受信モード
のうち、現在設定されている受信モードを記憶するため
のフラグである。 【００８６】スキップモードフラグＦ２は、全チャンネ
ル、無料・契約チャンネルおよびお好み設定チャンネル
のうち、チャンネルスキップ設定によって設定されたチ
ャンネル範囲を記憶するためのフラグである。 【００８７】プリセット有効無効フラグＦ３は、プリセ
ット設定による機能を有効（プリセット設定有効モー
ド）とするか、無効（プリセット設定無効モード）とす
るかを記憶するためのフラグである。 【００８８】プリセット設定モードフラグＦ４は、プリ
セット設定において、自動設定モードが選択されている
か、マニュアル設定モードが選択されているかを記憶す
るためのフラグである。 【００８９】〔４−１〕お好みチャンネル設定について
の説明 【００９０】お好みチャンネル設定を行なう場合のユー
ザによる操作を説明する。 【００９１】ユーザは、まず、リモコン送信機９の第２
操作部３２上のメニューキー７３を押す。すると、ＣＲ
Ｔ１７に図１７に示すようなメインメニュー画面が表示
される。メインメニュー画面には、ユーザ設定に対する
主選択項目を含む５つの主選択項目３０１〜３０５が表
示される。 【００９２】次に、ユーザは、ユーザ設定に対する主選
択項目３０２を、カーソルキー８１〜８４によって選択
し、決定キー８５を押す。すると、図１８に示すよう
に、ユーザ設定に対する副選択項目が現れる。副選択項
目としては、お好みチャンネル設定に対する副選択項目
３１１、チャンネルスキップ設定に対する副選択項目３
１２、プリセット設定に対する副選択項目３１３等があ
る。 【００９３】次に、ユーザは、お好みチャンネル設定に
対する副選択項目３１１をカーソルキー８１〜８４によ
って選択し、決定キー８５を押す。すると、図１９に示
すように、お好みチャンネル設定画面がＣＲＴ１７に表
示される。お好みチャンネル設定画面には、チャンネル
番号リスト３２１が表示される。また、チャンネル番号
リスト３２１の上側には、お好みチャンネル設定によっ
て設定されたチャンネル番号を表示するための設定チャ
ンネル表示欄３２２が設けられている。また、チャンネ
ル設定画面の左側部には、表示画面をメインメニュー画
面（図１７）に戻すための戻るボタン３２３が表示され
る。 【００９４】次に、ユーザは、チャンネル番号リスト３
２１内において、カーソルキー（カーソル上下移動キ
ー）８１、８２によって、お好みチャンネルとして設定
すべきチャンネル番号を選択する。この際、画面内に表
示されていないチャンネル番号も、カーソルキー８１、
８２を操作させることによって、チャンネル番号リスト
３２１をスクロールさせることによって表示させること
ができる。 【００９５】カーソルキー８１、８２によって、お好み
チャンネルとして設定すべきチャンネル番号を選択した
後、決定キー８５を押すと、選択されているチャンネル
番号が、設定チャンネル表示欄３２２に表示されるとと
もに、お好みチャンネルテーブル２０３（図１５参照）
に、当該チャンネル番号が登録される。 【００９６】既に登録されているチャンネル番号をキャ
ンセルする場合には、既に登録されているチャンネル番
号をカーソルキー８１、８２で選択した後、決定キー８
５を押せばよい。 【００９７】なお、カーソルキー８１〜８４によって、
戻るボタン３２３が選択された後、決定キー８５が押さ
れると、メインメニュー画面（図１７）に画面表示が戻
る。 【００９８】図２０は、図１９のチャンネル設定画面が
表示されている場合におけるシステムコントローラの処
理手順を示している。 【００９９】キー入力があれば（ステップ１でＹＥ
Ｓ）、カーソルキー８１〜８４によるキー入力か、決定
キー８５によるキー入力か、それ以外のキーによるキー
入力であるかが判定される（ステップ２、３）。 【０１００】カーソルキー８１〜８４によるキー入力で
あれば（ステップ２でＹＥＳ）、操作されたカーソルキ
ー８１〜８４に対応する方向にカーソルが移動せしめら
れた後（ステップ４）、ステップ１に戻る。 【０１０１】決定キー８５によるキー入力である場合に
は（ステップ３でＹＥＳ）、カーソル位置がチャンネル
番号リスト３２１内か戻るボタン３２３内かが判別され
る（ステップ５）。 【０１０２】カーソル位置がチャンネル番号リスト３２
１内である場合には、カーソルで選択されているチャン
ネルは、お好みチャンネルテーブル２０３（図１５参
照）に既にお好みチャンネルとして登録されているか否
かが判別される（ステップ６）。 【０１０３】カーソルで選択されているチャンネルが、
既にお好みチャンネルとして登録されていない場合に
は、お好みチャンネルテーブル２０３に最大登録数（こ
の例では８個）のチャンネルが既に登録されているか否
かが判別される（ステップ７）。 【０１０４】お好みチャンネルテーブル２０３に最大登
録数のチャンネルが登録されていない場合には、現在選
択されているチャンネル番号がお好みチャンネルテーブ
ル２０３に登録されるとともにチャンネル設定画面内に
おけるチャンネル番号リストの上側に今回登録されたチ
ャンネル番号が表示される（ステップ８）。この際、お
好みチャンネルとして登録されているチャンネル番号が
昇順となるように、お好みチャンネルテーブル２０３内
のデータが並び替えられるとともに、チャンネル設定画
面内におけるチャンネル番号リストの上側のチャンネル
番号表示も並び替えられる。 【０１０５】上記ステップ６において、カーソルで選択
されているチャンネルが、既にお好みチャンネルとして
登録されていると判定された場合には、現在選択されて
いるチャンネル番号がお好みチャンネルテーブル２０３
から削除されるとともに、チャンネル設定画面内におけ
るチャンネル番号リストの上側に表示されていた当該チ
ャンネル番号も消去される（ステップ９）。この際、お
好みチャンネルとして登録されているチャンネル番号が
昇順となるように、お好みチャンネルテーブル２０３内
のデータが並び替えられるとともに、チャンネル設定画
面内におけるチャンネル番号リストの上側のチャンネル
番号表示も並び替えられる。 【０１０６】上記ステップ７において、お好みチャンネ
ルテーブル２０３に最大登録数のチャンネルが登録され
ている場合には、ステップ１に戻る。 【０１０７】上記ステップ５において、カーソル位置が
戻るボタン３２３内であると判別された場合には、表示
画面がメインメニュー画面（図１７）に戻る（ステップ
１０）。 【０１０８】ステップ３でＮＯとなった場合には、カー
ソルキー８１〜８４および決定キー８５以外のキー入力
があったと判定され、そのキー入力に応じた処理が行な

ての説明 【０１１０】チャンネルスキップ設定を行なう場合のユ
ーザによる操作を説明する。 【０１１１】ここでは、図１８に示すように、ユーザ設
定に対する副選択項目が表示された状態から説明する。 【０１１２】ユーザは、チャンネルスキップ設定に対す
る副選択項目３１２をカーソルキー８１〜８４によって
選択し、決定キー８５を押す。すると、図２１に示すよ
うに、チャンネルスキップ設定画面がＣＲＴ１７に表示
される。 【０１１３】チャンネルスキップ設定画面には、チャン
ネルスキップキー６１、６２によって切り替えられる選
局チャンネルの範囲として、全チャンネルを選択するた
めの選択項目３３１、契約・無料チャンネルを選択する
ための選択項目３３２およびお好みチャンネルを選択す
るための選択項目３３３が表示される。また、現在設定
されている選局チャンネル範囲に対応する選択項目に
は、そのことを示すマークが表示される。また、チャン
ネルスキップ設定画面の左側部には、表示画面をメイン
メニュー画面（図１７）に戻すための戻るボタン３３４
が表示される。 【０１１４】ユーザは、チャンネルスキップ設定画面上
において、カーソルキー（カーソル上下移動キー）８
１、８２によって、チャンネルスキップキー６１、６２
によって切り替えられる選局チャンネル範囲として設定
したい選択項目を選択した後、決定キー８５を押す。す
ると、選択されている選択項目にマークが表示されると
ともに、スキップモードフラグＦ２の値が選択されてい
る選択項目のチャンネル範囲に応じた値に設定される。 【０１１５】なお、カーソルキー８１〜８４によって、
戻るボタン３３４が選択された後、決定キー８５が押さ
れると、メインメニュー画面（図１７）に画面表示が戻
る。 【０１１６】図２２は、図２１のチャンネルスキップ設
定画面が表示されている場合におけるシステムコントロ
ーラの処理手順を示している。 【０１１７】キー入力があれば（ステップ２１でＹＥ
Ｓ）、カーソルキー８１〜８４によるキー入力か、決定
キー８５によるキー入力か、それ以外のキーによるキー
入力であるかが判定される（ステップ２２、２３）。 【０１１８】カーソルキー８１〜８４によるキー入力で
あれば（ステップ２２でＹＥＳ）、操作されたカーソル
キー８１〜８４に対応する方向にカーソルが移動せしめ
られた後（ステップ２４）、ステップ２１に戻る。 【０１１９】決定キー８５によるキー入力である場合に
は（ステップ２３でＹＥＳ）、カーソル位置が、選局チ
ャンネル範囲を指定するための選択項目３３１、３３
２、３３３内か戻るボタン３３４内かが判別される（ス
テップ２５）。 【０１２０】カーソル位置が表示チャンネル範囲を指定
するための選択項目３３１、３３２、３３３内にある場
合には、スキップモードフラグＦ２が、カーソルで選択
されている選択項目に対するチャンネル範囲に応じた値
に設定される（ステップ２６）。そして、ステップ２１
に戻る。 【０１２１】上記ステップ２５において、カーソル位置
が戻るボタン３３４内であると判別された場合には、表
示画面がメインメニュー画面（図１７）に戻る（ステッ
プ２７）。 【０１２２】ステップ２３でＮＯとなった場合には、カ
ーソルキー８１〜８４および決定キー８５以外のキー入
力があったと判定され、そのキー入力に応じた処理が行
なわれる（ステップ２８）。 【０１２３】図２３は、受信モードがＣＳ放送受信モー
ドである場合において、チャンネルスキップキー６１、
６２が操作された場合のシステムコントローラによる処
理（チャンネルスキップ処理）手順を示している。 【０１２４】キー入力があれば（ステップ３１でＹＥ
Ｓ）、チャンネルスキップキー（チャンネルＵＰキー）
６１によるキー入力か、チャンネルスキップキー（チャ
ンネルＤＯＷＮキー）６２によるキー入力か、それ以外
のキーによるキー入力であるかが判定される（ステップ
３２、３３）。 【０１２５】チャンネルＵＰキー６１によるキー入力で
あれば（ステップ３２でＹＥＳ）、全チャンネルテーブ
ル２０１（図１３）、無料・契約チャンネルテーブル２
０２（図１４）およびお好みチャンネルテーブル２０３
（図１５）のうちから、スキップモードフラグＦ２の値
に応じたテーブルの中から、現在選局されているチャン
ネル番号の次に大きなチャンネル番号が選局される（ス
テップ３４）。そして、ステップ３１に戻る。ただし、
現在選局されているチャンネル番号がスキップモードフ
ラグＦ２の値に応じたテーブル内の最も大きいチャンネ
ル番号である場合には、当該テーブル内の最も小さなチ
ャンネル番号が選局される。 【０１２６】チャンネルＤＯＷＮキー６２によるキー入
力であれば（ステップ３３でＹＥＳ）、全チャンネルテ
ーブル２０１（図１３）、無料・契約チャンネルテーブ
ル２０２（図１４）およびお好みチャンネルテーブル２
０３（図１５）のうちから、スキップモードフラグＦ２
の値に応じたテーブルの中から、現在選局されているチ
ャンネル番号の次に小さなチャンネル番号が選局される
（ステップ３５）。そして、ステップ３１に戻る。ただ
し、現在選局されているチャンネル番号がスキップモー
ドフラグＦ２の値に応じたテーブル内の最も小さいチャ
ンネル番号である場合には、当該テーブル内の最も大き
なチャンネル番号が選局される。 【０１２７】上記ステップ３３でＮＯとなった場合に
は、チャンネルスキップキー６１、６２以外のキー入力
があったと判定され、そのキー入力に応じた処理が行な
われた後（ステップ３６）、今回のチャンネルスキップ
処理は終了する。 【０１２８】〔４−３〕プリセット設定についての説明 【０１２９】プリセット設定を行なう場合のユーザによ
る操作を説明する。 【０１３０】ここでは、図１８に示すように、ユーザ設
定に対する副選択項目が表示された状態から説明する。 【０１３１】ユーザは、プリセット設定に対する副選択
項目３１３をカーソルキー８１〜８４によって選択し、
決定キー８５を押す。すると、図２４に示すように、プ
リセット有効無効設定画面がＣＲＴ１７に表示される。
プリセット有効無効設定画面には、プリセット設定を有
効（プリセット設定有効モード）にするための選択項目
３４１およびプリセット設定を無効（プリセット設定無
効モード）にするための選択項目３４２が表示される。
また、現在設定されているプリセット有効無効モードに
対応する選択項目には、そのことを示すマークが表示さ
れる。また、プリセット有効無効設定画面の左側部に
は、表示画面をメインメニュー画面（図１７）に戻すた
めの戻るボタン３４３が表示される。 【０１３２】ユーザは、プリセット有効無効設定画面上
において、カーソルキー８１、８２によって、選択項目
３４１または３４２を選択した後、決定キー８５を押
す。すると、選択されている選択項目にマークが表示さ
れるとともに、選択されている選択項目に対応するプリ
セット有効無効モードが設定される。つまり、プリセッ
ト有効無効フラグＦ３の値が選択された選択項目によっ
て指定されるモード（プリセット設定有効モードまたは
プリセット設定無効モード）に応じた値に設定される。 【０１３３】なお、カーソルキー８１〜８４によって、
戻るボタン３４３が選択された後、決定キー８５が押さ
れると、メインメニュー画面（図１７）に画面表示が戻

８５が押された場合には、プリセット有効無効モード
は、プリセット無効モードとなる。選択項目３４１が選
択された後に決定キー８５が押された場合には、プリセ
ット有効無効モードは、プリセット有効モードとなる。
また、図２５に示すように、プリセット設定モード選択
画面がＣＲＴ１７に表示される。 【０１３５】プリセット設定モード選択画面には、自動
設定モードを指定するための選択項目３５１およびマニ
ュアル設定モードを指定するための選択項目３５２が表
示される。また、現在設定されているプリセット設定モ
ードに対応する選択項目には、そのことを示すマークが
表示される。また、プリセット設定モード選択画面の左
側部には、表示画面をメインメニュー画面（図１７）に
戻すための戻るボタン３５３が表示される。 【０１３６】ユーザは、プリセット設定モード選択画面
上において、カーソルキー８１、８２によって、選択項
目３５１または３５２を選択した後、決定キー８５を押
す。すると、選択されている選択項目にマークが表示さ
れるとともに、選択されている選択項目に対応するプリ
セット設定モードが設定される。つまり、プリセット設
定モードフラグＦ４の値が、選択された選択項目によっ
て指定されるプリセット設定モードに応じた値に設定さ
れる。 【０１３７】なお、カーソルキー８１〜８４によって、
戻るボタン３５３が選択された後、決定キー８５が押さ
れると、メインメニュー画面（図１７）に画面表示が戻
る。 【０１３８】選択項目３５１が選択された後、決定キー
８５が操作された場合には、プリセット設定モードフラ
グＦ４の値が自動設定モードを表す値に設定され、プリ
セットキーテーブル２０４（図１６）に、お好み設定テ
ーブル２０３（図１５）の内容が記憶される。つまり、
お好みチャンネルｃｈ１〜ｃｈ８に対して設定されてい
るチャンネル番号が、ＢＳチャンネル（ｃｈ１からｃｈ
１５までの奇数のチャンネル）に割り当てられるチャン
ネル番号として記憶される。 【０１３９】選択項目３５２が選択された後、決定キー
８５が操作された場合には、プリセット設定モードフラ
グＦ４の値がマニュアル設定モードを表す値に設定さ
れ、図２６に示すようにプリセットマニュアル設定画面
が表示される。 【０１４０】プリセットマニュアル設定画面には、ＣＳ
放送のチャンネル番号リスト３６１が表示される。ま
た、チャンネル番号リスト３６１の上側には、各ＢＳチ
ャンネル毎に、それに対してプリセットマニュアル設定
によって設定されたチャンネル番号を表示するための設
定チャンネル表示欄３６２が設けられている。 【０１４１】設定チャンネル表示欄３６２内の上段に
は、各ＢＳチャンネルが表示されたＢＳチャンネル表示
部が左右方向に並んで設けられており、各ＢＳチャンネ
ル表示部の下側にそれに対して設定されたＣＳ放送のチ
ャンネル番号を表示するためのＣＳチャンネル表示部が
設けられている。また、プリセットマニュアル設定画面
の左側部には、表示画面をメインメニュー画面（図１
７）に戻すための戻るボタン３６３が表示される。カー
ソルは、最初はＢＳ１のＢＳチャンネル表示部上に位置
している。 【０１４２】ユーザは、プリセットマニュアル設定画面
上において、カーソルキー（カーソル左右移動キー）８
３、８４によって、ＣＳ放送に対するチャンネルを割り
当てたいＢＳチャンネル（プリセット先ＢＳチャンネ
ル）表示部上にカーソルを移動させた後、決定キー８５
を押す。すると、選択されたプリセット先ＢＳチャンネ
ル表示部の下のＣＳチャンネル表示部が空白となり、カ
ーソルがチャンネル番号リスト３６１内に自動的に移動
する。 【０１４３】次に、ユーザは、カーソルキー（カーソル
上下移動キー）８１、８２によって、プリセットしたい
ＣＳ放送のチャンネル番号を選択する。この際、画面内
に表示されていないチャンネル番号も、カーソルキー８
１、８２を操作させることによって、チャンネル番号リ
スト３６１をスクロールさせることによって表示させる
ことができる。 【０１４４】プリセットしたいチャンネル番号を選択し
た後、決定キー８５を押すと、選択されたチャンネル番
号が先に選択されたプリセット先ＢＳチャンネル表示部
の下側のＣＳチャンネル表示部に表示されるとともに、
選択されたチャンネル番号がプリセットキーテーブル２
０４（図１６）に上記プリセット先ＢＳチャンネルに対
応して記憶される。 【０１４５】なお、カーソルキー（カーソル左右移動キ
ー）８３、８４によって、戻るボタン３６３が選択され
た後、決定キー８５が押されると、メインメニュー画面
（図１７）に画面表示が戻る。 【０１４６】図２７は、ＢＳ放送番組選局キーが操作さ
れた場合のシステムコントローラの処理手順を示してい
る。 【０１４７】キー入力があれば（ステップ４１でＹＥ
Ｓ）、ＢＳ放送番組選局キー５１〜５８によるキーか、
それ以外のキーによるキー入力であるかが判定される
（ステップ４２）。 【０１４８】ＢＳ放送番組選局キー５１〜５８によるキ
ー入力であれば（ステップ４２でＹＥＳ）、受信モード
フラグＦ１の内容に基づいて、受信モードが判別される
（ステップ４３）。 【０１４９】受信モードがＣＳ放送受信モードである場
合には、プリセット有効無効フラグＦ３の内容に基づい
て、プリセット有効モードが設定されているか否かが判
別される（ステップ４４）。 【０１５０】プリセット有効モードが設定されている場
合には、プリセットキーテーブル２０４（図１６）か
ら、操作されたＢＳ放送番組選局キーに対応するＣＳ放
送のチャンネル番号が読み出される（ステップ４５）。
そして、ＣＳ放送番組のうちから読み出されたチャンネ
ル番号に対応する番組が選局される（ステップ４６）。
この後、ステップ４１に戻る。 【０１５１】上記ステップ４４において、プリセット有
効モードが設定されていないと判別されたときには、受
信モードがＢＳ放送受信モードに変更される（ステップ
４７）。そして、操作されたＢＳ放送番組選局キーに対
応するＢＳ放送番組が選局される（ステップ４８）。こ
の後、ステップ４１に戻る。 【０１５２】上記ステップ４３において、受信モードが
地上波放送受信モードであると判別された場合には、受
信モードがＢＳ放送受信モードに変更される（ステップ
４７）。そして、操作されたＢＳ放送番組選局キーに対
応するＢＳ放送番組が選局される（ステップ４８）。こ
の後、ステップ４１に戻る。 【０１５３】上記ステップ４３において、受信モードが
ＢＳ放送受信モードであると判別された場合には、操作
されたＢＳ放送番組選局キーに対応するＢＳ放送番組が
選局される（ステップ４８）。この後、ステップ４１に
戻る。 【０１５４】上記ステップ４２でＮＯとなった場合に
は、ＢＳ放送番組選局キー以外のキーが操作されたと判
別され、操作されたキーに応じた処理が行なわれる（ス

キーが操作されたときに、スキップされるチャンネル範
囲を、複数のチャンネル範囲から選択でき、ＣＳ放送番
組におけるチャンネル選局を短時間に行なうことが可能
