A refrigerator in which a storage room is divided into upper and lower parts, and a shelf provided for placing and storing foods and the like is a telescopic shelf which is extendable and contractible in the front-rear direction and is rotatable around a rear end support shaft. The telescopic shelf has a rotation support shaft, and a rear upper surface that rotates about the rotation support shaft has a flat upper surface. The front shelf of the rear shelf is disposed near the center of the rear shelf, and provided on the lower front surface of the front shelf with a locking claw that is locked to the mounting rail of the shelf, A stopper device for a shelf of a refrigerator or the like, wherein the mounting rail is provided with a notch that coincides with the locking claw when the front shelf is moved most rearward.
