2. Description of the Related Art In a case where a plurality of welding points are collectively welded to a workpiece to which a plurality of welding points are set in consideration of work efficiency, a general resistance welding spot welding is used. in accordance with the plurality of welding points, as shown in FIG. 4, a plurality of projections 52, ... it is to create electrodes 51 shaped like projects even if the welding, subtle weldment thickness, Due to the difference in the surface state, a difference occurs in the resistance between the projections 52, and the connection characteristics between the welding points 54, for example, the joint strength tend to vary. In the drawings, 53 and 53 indicate a workpiece, 55 indicates a primary winding of an AC power supply, and 56 indicates a secondary winding.

On the other hand, in ultrasonic welding, two workpieces are sandwiched between a welding head (welding tip) attached to the tip of a horn and a welding table and pressurized to give vibration energy to the welding head for a short time. Vibrates in the horizontal direction, thereby destroying the coating on the contact surface of the two workpieces and performing recrystallization welding by local vibration heating.
As shown in FIG. 5 , the welding head H is connected to a plurality of ridges 6.
Even if the shape in which 0,... Are arranged, vibrations having substantially the same magnitude as the vibration source are equally transmitted to the respective welding locations of the workpiece 61, and the vibrations for satisfying the predetermined welding strength at the respective welding locations. Energy is excited, and simultaneous simultaneous welding becomes possible. In FIG. 5 , reference numeral 66 denotes another welded object, and 68 denotes a welding table.

However [0007], even if to do by ultrasonic welding simultaneously collectively welding the plurality of portions, the welded object 61, as shown in FIG. 5, a plurality of branch portions 62,
.., And when the welding point is set on the branch portion, and when the branch portion 62 has a simple shape having symmetry such that the shapes of the branch portions are equal to each other, the ultrasonic waves are uniformly applied to each weld portion. Energy is transmitted, and relatively stable connection characteristics can be obtained. For example, as shown in FIG. 6, when the plurality of branch portions 72 of the workpiece 71 have different shapes, When simultaneous simultaneous welding is performed, the connection strength varies, and stable connection characteristics may not be obtained.

[0005] This is because, due to the different shapes of the branch portions 72 where the welding points are set, there are variations in the ultrasonic energy conditions related to the welding function, such as the transmission energy of the ultrasonic waves and the energy consumption between the welding points. It is thought to be caused.

Accordingly, in the present invention, a welding point is set at a portion branched from a base having a predetermined shape into a plurality of portions, and each branch portion including the welding point has a different shape, for example, an object to be welded. In the case of simultaneously welding the welded portions of the bus bars and the like as shown in FIG. 6 by ultrasonic welding at a time, a stable and strong connection characteristic without variation between the welding points can be obtained. It is to make.

With this configuration, no ultrasonic wave is transmitted from the fixed position of the workpiece to the side where the welding head does not exist, so that no vibration occurs. Further, the sides where the welding heads are separated by the pressing means have the same volume, so that the ultrasonic vibration energy transmitted to this portion becomes equal to each other.

The welding point 4 is set on the bus bar 10 in the vicinity of the tip 3 of each of the branched strips 2. In this embodiment, as described above, since the number of branches is 10, the number of welding points 4 for simultaneous batch welding is 10.

According to the present invention, as described above,
The work to be welded is pressed and fixed by using a pressing jig separately from the pressing by the welding head, and the pressing position 5 is set at each welding head contact side (the side where the welding point 4 exists) partitioned at the position. The busbar 10 is a plate having the same thickness, so that equalizing the volume means, in the end, equalizing the surface area of the portion.

The bus bar 10 of this embodiment is
As described above, the tips 3 of the strips 2 are aligned in a certain direction, and the strips have the same width from the tip 3 to a position returning to the base 1 side by a certain distance, and the longitudinal directions are arranged in parallel. In order to make the surface area of the area including the welding point 4 equal,
The pressing position 5 is provided at a position equidistant from the leading end 3 of each strip 2 to the base 1 side. By doing so, the pressing position 5
From the surface to the tip 3 of the strip 2 are equal,
Therefore, the volume is also equal between each of the strips 2.

This is because, as described above, when the workpiece 10 is pressed and fixed, the ultrasonic wave is not transmitted from the pressing position 5 to the side where the welding head does not exist, and the pressing fixture fixed by the jig 6 is used. It is considered that since the volume from the position 5 to the end 3 via the welding point 4 is equal to each other, the vibration energies of the ultrasonic waves transmitted to this portion are equal to each other.

2. One of the objects to be welded has a base part having a predetermined shape and a plurality of branch parts branched from the base part. A predetermined position of each branch part is defined as a welding point, and these plurality of welding points are defined. The other workpiece is placed on the branch portion in a continuous manner, the two workpieces are sandwiched between the welding table and the welding head on the welding point, and pressed by the welding head to collectively weld a plurality of welding points. In the ultrasonic welding method, the one of the objects to be welded is pressed against a welding table by a pressing means at a predetermined position on the surface of the branch portion, separately from pressing by a welding head during welding. The ultrasonic welding method is characterized in that the position is set so that the volumes of the welding head contact sides partitioned at the position are equal to each other.
