従来の丸形枠体の接合部分は、図3の点線枠内部分に示すように、単に枠を合わせ、ビニールテープ止めしたものをポリエチレンの糸で縛るため、使用を繰り返すと糸が切れたりテープが剥がれ離れてしまう不都合があった。
なお、本出願人は、貝類の養殖篭の枠の接合部分において、正方形枠体を形成する側部材並びに補強部材が耐水被覆層が形成された鉄線材からなり、且側部材の耐水被覆層が形成された鉄線材の端部相互の耐水被覆層を適宜長さで剥除し、鉄線材を挿通しえる挿通口を有する強剛な金属又は繊維強化プラスチック素材からなる連結管に挿通させたうえ、鉄線材及び連結管を圧接若しくは加圧嵌着により接合連結し、而も該接合連結部外周部には接合連結部及び耐水被覆層が形成された鉄線材を挿通包着しえる包着管材が適宜接着剤により耐水密閉状に包着された正方形枠体の特許権を取得している(特許文献2を参照)。
