るビデオ番組の映像を容易かつ正確に検索し得ると共
に、検索して表示するまでの処理時間を短縮することが
でき、かくしてビデオ番組の検索を容易かつ短時間で実
行し得る使い勝手の優れたビデオ番組検索装置を実現で

の記録媒体に記録されている記録手段と、 複数の上記ビデオ番組にそれぞれ対応した複数のビデオ
番組情報が記憶されている記憶手段と、 公衆回線を介して上記端末装置から供給されたキーワー
ドに基づいて、上記記憶手段に記憶されている上記複数
のビデオ番組情報の中から上記キーワードに対応した番
組名、放送局名及び放送開始時刻を含む上記ビデオ番組
情報を検索して上記端末装置に供給するビデオ番組情報
検索手段と、 上記公衆回線を介して上記端末装置から供給された再生
指示信号に基づいて、上記検索した所望の上記ビデオ番
組情報に対応する上記ビデオ番組の映像データを上記記
録手段から再生する再生手段と、 上記再生手段によって再生された上記映像データを大容
量公衆回線を介して上記端末装置に送信する送信手段と を具え、 上記端末装置は、 上記キーワードを入力するキーワード入力手段と、 上記公衆回線を介して上記番組センタ装置から供給され
る上記番組名、放送局名及び放送開始時刻を含む上記ビ
デオ番組情報を表示するビデオ番組情報表示手段と、 上記ビデオ番組情報表示手段によって表示された上記ビ
デオ番組情報に基づいて所望の上記ビデオ番組情報に対

上記番組センタ装置に供給する入力手段と、 上記番組センタ装置から上記大容量公衆回線を介して供
給される上記映像データを表示する映像データ表示手段
