Description
The present invention relates to a data input device, and more particularly to an electronic musical instrument including a touch panel controller.
In composition and arrangement using a computer as described above, it is necessary to connect a large number of devices such as a display, a keyboard, a mouse, an electronic musical instrument, and a sound source to the personal computer. It can be said that there are inconveniences such as complicated connection, securing a space occupied by these devices, and having to use a plurality of input devices each time a user edits data.
The inventor has made the present invention based on the above problems, and an object thereof is to increase the efficiency of work in editing music data using a computer.
An electronic musical instrument according to an aspect of the present invention includes an input unit for inputting performance information, a music data generation unit that generates music data from the performance information, a transmission unit that transmits a signal to the information terminal, and an operator's A planar panel sensor that acquires two-dimensional position information by touch operation, and uses of two-dimensional position information, a first use for operation of an information terminal, and a second use for parameter setting of music data And a conversion unit that converts two-dimensional position information into parameter information for parameter setting when the second application is selected.
The “performance information” may be information indicating how the user performed the musical instrument, and the “music data” may be music data recorded as digital data. For example, if the electronic musical instrument is a keyboard type, music data such as MIDI data is generated on the basis of performance information indicating which key the user is pressing at what timing. The “information terminal” may be a personal computer, for example, and the “operation” may be an instruction to the operating system of the personal computer. In that case, an operation of a pointer displayed on the display is included. “Parameter setting” includes processing for setting and changing each parameter in music data, and includes processing for adding effect information to music data.
In the electronic musical instrument of the above aspect, the two-dimensional information acquired by the panel sensor can be used for two purposes. For example, a controller using a panel sensor can be used by switching between a pointing device and an effector. Since a plurality of devices are integrated, it is possible to save space, simplify carrying, omit wiring, and the like. In addition, the operation of the user can be simplified. If the controller and the electronic musical instrument are placed separately, when an instruction to the information terminal is required during the music information input, the user extends the hand used to input the music information on the musical instrument to the controller and extends the information terminal. This is because, after the operation, there is a trouble of returning the hand to the musical instrument again and restarting the input of the music information. If the two are integrated, the user can input music information and operate the information terminal, and the operation burden is reduced.
The electronic musical instrument of this aspect may further include a signal format changing unit that changes the signal format of the music data to the same signal format as when the two-dimensional position information is used for the operation of the information terminal. Music data and instructions for operating the information terminal can be transmitted through a single information path, leading to simplification of wiring.
An arrangement in which the above components are arbitrarily replaced or the expression is changed to a recording medium or the like is also effective as the present invention.
FIG. 1 is a diagram showing an example of a music data editing system including an electronic musical instrument according to the present invention. The music
The electronic
In this music data editing system, a user plays electronic
The sequence software displays an editing screen on the
In each part column, names “Part 1”, “Part 2”,... Are attached by default. The user can select a desired part field with the pointer and input the name of each part with the
The instrument column 320 indicates which instrument is assigned to the part. The user can select a desired instrument by operating the pointer and opening a pull-down menu. In FIG. 2, guitar is assigned to part 1 and piano is assigned to part 2. In addition, a state in which the instrument of Part 3 is selected is shown, and a pull-down menu is opened.
After assigning musical instruments to each part, the user proceeds to input performance data for each part. Specifically, the
This MIDI data is displayed in a musical score format in the performance data column 340a. In addition, what kind of sound is produced when the MIDI data is reproduced is displayed as a waveform. Thus, the user can visually grasp the sound data of Part 1. The user performs the above operation on the other parts to record the MIDI data of each part, and these are combined into a single piece of MIDI data.
As described above, by assigning an instrument to each part and inputting each piece of performance data, it is possible to compose and edit a musical composition that is ultimately expressed by the timbre of a plurality of instruments. Thus, the composition / editing by the present system is mainly the repetition of the operation of the
FIG. 3 is a block diagram illustrating a configuration of the electronic
The
The
The
The
In the electronic
As shown in FIG. 1, in this embodiment, the
FIG. 4 is a flowchart showing the operation of the electronic
When the second mode is selected (B in S12), the two-dimensional position information is sent to the
The present invention has been described above based on the embodiments. The present invention is not limited to this embodiment, and various modifications thereof are also effective as aspects of the present invention. For example, the effect may be applied to the MIDI data by the
