で、2重シールとなり地中埋設部で内部ガスが漏れ出す
恐れがなく、安全が確保される。

護カバー27は本実施例では耐候性の良い塩化ビニル製
の収縮チューブを用いており、装着後温水等の熱を加え
て収縮させ、プラスチック管30の外面に密着させる。
この保護カバー27は収縮チューブに代えてテープ状部
材を巻き付けて外部環境から保護遮断しても良い。更に
プラスチック管の下端部は略直角に曲げておき、埋設プ
ラスチック管との接続を容易にすることができる。

地中埋設部まで内挿して埋設地中部で密封しているの
で、埋設位置でプラスチック管と鋼管のシールが確保さ
れて熱の影響が及ばなく、火災時におけるガス漏れの問
題が解消される。またプラスチック管が地中埋設部から
地上にまで立ち上げて鋼管を内挿して密着シール固定さ
れているので、地中埋設部は耐食性を有すプラスチック
管で連続して繋がっており、内部ガスが地中埋設部で
れ出す恐れがない。また金属製筒体や耐候性を有す保護
管、保護カバー等によってプラスチック管の地上立ち上
げ部が外部環境から保護遮断され、紫外線劣化等の問題
もない。更にガスメータは剛性のある鋼管で支持固定さ
れるので、ガスメータを建物等に固定しなくとも支持固
定でき、ガスメータの設置位置に規制を受けない。従っ
て従来のごとく絶縁継手を設けるなどの防食処理を行う
必要がなく、安全に且つ容易に地中のプラスチック管か
ら地上のガスメータに配管施工が行える。

属製の筒体と、よりなることを特徴とするガスメータ接
続用ライザー管。
