(57)【特許請求の範囲】(57) [Claims] 【請求項1】 柔軟な外容器内の金属製物体とその上に
ある柔軟な非金属製物体を検出するための検出装置であ
って、(1)該被検出物に上方から当接し、該金属製物
体までの距離を該非金属製物体の厚みとして検出するた
めの渦電流センサー、(2)該センサーを該被検出物に
上方から当接した際に、該センサーと該金属製物体との
間で該非金属製物体に一定の厚みをもたせるように強制
するための装置、(3)該被検出物の移動に応じて所定
のパルス信号を出力するエンコーダー、(4)該センサ
ー及び該エンコーダーの出力する信号を論理判定するコ
ントローラー、(5)該コントローラーの論理判定に基
づいて不良と判別された該被検出物を排除する装置、及
び(6)該被検出物を該渦電流センサーの検出位置から
該排除装置へと順次移送する装置、を含むことを特徴と
する上記の検出装置。

をもたせるように強制し、(4)かつ、該センサーの検
出信号を継続して捕らえ、(a)該信号が該金属製物体
及び該非金属製物体の両者を含む場合の、該非金属製物
体の一定の厚みを所定の時間継続する場合に良品を判別
し、それ以外の場合は不良を判別するか、(b)該信号
が出力されないか、該信号が該非金属製物体を含まない
場合の該金属製物体までの距離を、所定の時間内に一定
の度数検出する場合に不良を判別し、それ以外の場合は
良品を判別するか、(c)(a)及び(b)を併せて行
うことを特徴とする上記の検出方法。
