2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, a television receiver supplies a video signal from a tuner (1) to a video processing circuit (2) as shown in FIG. 1 and displays a video on a screen of a cathode ray tube (5). ing. The control of the screen state, such as the brightness of the screen of the cathode ray tube (5), is performed by the microcomputer (3) and the video processing circuit (2).
Is controlled electronically, and a controlled item and a control amount mark are displayed on a screen by a switch circuit (4),
It indicates at which position in the control range the control value is located. As shown in FIG. 4, the display method of the control amount mark is to press the menu button of the remote control to lower the screen so that the characters of the controlled item (7) and the control range (10) are completely covered by the horizontal scanning range of the screen. The control position cursor (11) indicates the position of the current control state in the control range (10) along with a thin bar, and the controlled item (7) is operated by operating the remote control up and down push buttons. Switching is performed one after another, and the position of the cursor (11) is moved left and right by pressing the left and right buttons of the remote controller, and the control amount is changed. This method is inconvenient in that it is difficult to grasp the entire control status because the controlled items are switched and displayed one by one.

Conventionally, as shown in FIG. 5, by pressing a menu switch of a remote controller, all controlled items (7) and respective control ranges (10) are simultaneously displayed, and pressing up and down buttons of the remote controller is performed. By operation, the designation of the controlled item (7) is switched one after another, and the control amount mark is displayed on the control range of the specified item, and the control amount mark is displayed on the control range (10) by pressing the horizontal button. There has also been proposed one that moves left and right to adjust the control amount.

The method shown in FIG. 5 has the advantage that the controlled items are displayed on the screen at the same time and the respective control amounts can be confirmed. On the other hand, a bar indicating the control range (10) is displayed on the entire screen (6). And the control amount mark are displayed, which hinders the observation of the video,
This is an obstacle when adjusting the control amount while checking the state of the image.

Further, a bar (10) indicating the control range is provided by a clock signal of the microcomputer (8) and the switch circuit (4).
The timing is adjusted to a predetermined dot in horizontal scanning. However, despite the fact that the oscillation frequency of horizontal synchronization is locked and does not change, the clock frequency to be put in synchronization with the timing is inevitable to some extent due to errors and temperature characteristics of each component of the electronic circuit element.
Therefore, the tip of the control range bar (10) on the horizontal scanning end side is not fixed, and may be too short and approach the center of the screen, or may be too long and off the screen. In order to solve this problem, an expensive transmission circuit and a temperature correction circuit were required, and adjustment of the character position and the like were necessary.

[Operation and Effect] By displaying the controlled items (7) arranged vertically, the number of items can be easily understood. Moreover, since the controlled item and the control amount mark are shifted to the start side of the horizontal scanning to form a wide image plane at the center of the screen, the actual screen state can be easily grasped while controlling, and correct control can be performed. Since the controlled item and control amount mark are displayed on the start side of horizontal scanning, changes in the display position due to temperature changes and component variations are small, eliminating the need for expensive transmission circuits, temperature correction, character position adjustment, etc. as in the past. In the character display processing (14) of each line, assuming that the number of characters per line is 7 as shown in FIG. 7, the character display processing (14) starts and the number of characters = 0 (18). A character display process (19) is performed, the number of characters is sequentially increased (20), and the process is repeated (22) until the number of characters reaches 7. When seven characters are displayed (21), the character display processing for that line ends, and the characters for the next line are displayed.

According to the present invention, each controlled item is simultaneously displayed on a screen by a simple program, and each control amount mark is displayed for each controlled item or each time a controlled item is specified.
Since a wide image surface (9) is secured, there is an advantage that the image quality can be easily adjusted while watching the image. Further, since the bar (10) indicating the control range of the control amount mark (8) is shifted toward the horizontal scanning start side, even if there is an error in the display position due to the variation of the electronic element, the actual variation length is small. It has excellent characteristics such as being restricted.
