However, recent required characteristics are moving in a more severe direction, and particularly at the level of deterioration resistance, it is not sufficiently satisfactory.

Many approaches have been taken to improve fatigue. One such method involves the addition of a plasticizer. Generally, petroleum or vegetable oils such as naphthenes and paraffins are used. These additions improve the fatigue properties because of the dispersing effect on fillers commonly used in rubber, such as carbon black, but the strength of the rubber itself is greatly reduced,
Cannot be used in large quantities. On the other hand, a method of adding an anti-aging agent has been known for a long time, and an anti-aging agent such as an amine or phenol is used for the purpose of improving fatigue resistance. However, such an anti-aging agent is mainly used as an antioxidant. However, simply adding them does not provide a significant reforming effect.

At this time, in addition to chloroprene, another monomer copolymerizable with chloroprene may be used alone or in combination of two or more kinds in a range not exceeding 20% by weight of the whole monomer. Examples of monomers copolymerizable with chloroprene include 2,3-dichlorobutadiene-1,3, sulfur, styrene, 1-chlorobutadiene-1,3, acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, methyl methacrylate, acrylonitrile, and the like. .

Examples of the emulsifier include rosinates, anionic emulsifiers such as alkyl fatty acid salts, and alkyl polyethylene glycols. Nonionic emulsifiers and cationic emulsifiers such as quaternary ammonium salts are used. If necessary, two or more kinds of emulsifiers may be used in combination.

The polymerization temperature is not particularly limited, but is preferably in the range of 10 ° C to 50 ° C. If the conversion of the monomer is too high, the physical properties of the rubber are greatly affected. If the conversion is low, the economy is poor. As the polymerization inhibitor, thiodiphenylamine, p-tert-butylcatechol, hydroquinone and the like are used.

Tetraethylthiuram disulfide, tetrabutylthiuram disulfide and the like can be mentioned, and particularly suitable is tetraethylthiuram disulfide.
The amount of the chloroprene rubber to be mixed with the chloroprene rubber is 0.1 part by weight or more per 100 parts by weight of the chloroprene rubber, and is preferably used in the range of 0.3 to 3 parts by weight. If the amount is less than 0.1 part by weight, the effect of improving fatigue properties is not sufficient. The addition method may be added together with the monomer at the start of polymerization, or may be added after dissolution in a solvent such as toluene in the latex of chloroprene rubber after polymerization, but may be added together with the polymerization inhibitor at the end of polymerization. The addition method is simple and convenient without any complication.

Tetraalkyl thiuram disulfide has no effect of improving fatigue properties, and aromatic amine compounds have almost no effect of modifying themselves, but the combined use of both can dramatically improve fatigue resistance. it can.
