It was hard to say. On the other hand, JAEWEN et al. Reported that the syndiotactic pentad fraction could be increased by a transition metal catalyst having an asymmetric ligand and a catalyst composed of aluminoxane.
It has been discovered for the first time that a polypropylene having a good tacticity of more than 0.8 can be obtained (J. Am. Chem.
Soc., 1988, 110, 6255-6256).

Has a good activity per transition metal, and is an excellent method with high tacticity of the obtained polymer. However, the particle size of the obtained polymer is small and the bulk specific gravity is small. There was a problem that the productivity was poor such that the properties were poor and the heat of polymerization could not be removed, and that the obtained polymer powder was difficult to handle.

The present invention polymerizes propylene using a catalyst comprising an aluminoxane and a transition metal catalyst component selected from isopropyl (cyclopentadienyl-1-fluorenyl) hafnium dichloride and isopropyl (cyclopentadienyl-1-fluorenyl) zirconium dichloride. In the method, the transition metal catalyst component and / or the aluminoxane is selected from a chloride selected from sodium chloride, potassium chloride, magnesium chloride, calcium chloride, and aluminum chloride, and salts wherein the chlorine of the chloride is fluorine, bromine or iodine. This is a method for producing syndiotactic chip polypropylene, which is used by being supported on an inert carrier.

A solution of 10 mg of isopropyl (cyclopentadiethyl-1-fluorenyl) zirconium dichloride obtained by reacting with zirconium tetrachloride in 20 ml of toluene was added, and the mixture was cooled to -70 ° C with stirring, and further stirred for 1 hour. The mixture was allowed to stand, and the supernatant was removed.
The mixture was stirred for 0 min, allowed to stand, the supernatant was removed, and 10 ml of toluene was added to obtain a transition metal catalyst component slurry. As a result of analysis, it was found to contain 1.5 mg / g-silica gel as a transition metal catalyst component. 0.5 toluene in a 2 volume autoclave
The slurry synthesized by the above method was charged in a propylene atmosphere, and propylene was further added thereto to add 2 kg / cm 2 -G
Then, a solution prepared by dissolving 0.67 g of methylaluminoxane having a degree of polymerization of about 15 and manufactured by Toyo Akzo Co., Ltd. in 10 ml of toluene was added, and polymerization was carried out at 25 ° C. for 2 hours while maintaining 2 kg / cm 2 -G. After the polymerization, the slurry was taken out and dried by filtration to obtain 78 g of syndiotactic polypropylene. On the other hand, 6.5 g of a component soluble in toluene (atactic polypropylene according to the infrared absorption spectrum) was obtained from the filtrate. The intrinsic viscosity number (hereinafter abbreviated as η) of the powder measured with a tetralin solution at 135 ° C. was 1.18, and the syndiotactic pentad fraction was 0.948.
