Assuming that a signal corresponding to 1 / min is output, the abnormality controller 13 determines that the flow rate detector 7 has failed and stops the operation of the heater 5 in the same manner as when the tapping water temperature detector 6 fails.

In the conventional example, in the case of a failure of the detection unit, the heater 5 can be operated by connecting a dummy resistor corresponding to the resistance value of the thermistor on which the heater 5 operates. It can respond to the failure of the detection circuit part of the detector 6 and the failure of the detector which cannot input the dummy signal easily because the detection signal is a pulse like the flow detector 7 without using any repair parts. If the protector 12 is out of order, there is a possibility that a dangerous condition such as a fire may occur. Therefore, a manufacturer or a seller familiar with the configuration of the hot water supply device, that is, in the presence of a service person who is an expert, It is assumed that emergency driving will be performed. In this embodiment, the serviceman switches the selector 15 to the sub-controller 14 depending on the nature of the failure, so that the user can directly use the selector for a short period of time. Emergency response can be provided.
