形成され、開孔底面52aは開孔間口52bより大径に形成さ
れている。また開孔52の側周壁には複数の吸引通路54が
形成され、各吸引通路54は本体50の外側面に形成された
環状溝56に連通される。環状溝56は密封リング58に覆わ
れ、密封リング58にはリング58内と連通するパイプ60が
接続され、パイプ60は図示しない吸引手段に接続されて
いる。

成される空隙を充分に吸引することができる。また、開
孔間口52bが角形状であっても、円形状のものより若干
リークの危険度が増すものの、前述と同様に優れた吸着
保持能力を発揮する。

(発明の効果) 以上説明したように本発明に係る真空吸着パッドによ

に接着して生じる開孔内の周側壁近傍の空隙と、吸引手
段とが連通する吸引口を形成したので、吸引口は被吸着
物によって塞がれることがない。また、このような吸着
状態にあっては、非変形性の吸着保持口周縁が被吸着物
を確実に密着させることができるので、パッド内の真空
度の低下が見られない。このため、本発明の真空吸着パ
ッドにおいては、吸着能力の2大要素である吸着面積及
が真空度が失われることなく、従来、充分に吊り下げ保
持することのできなかった変形可能な被吸着物を確実に
保持し、吊り下げて搬送することができる。
