部にはみ出した印刷インキは次第にその量を増やし、版
胴の端縁が完全に密閉されていない限り、遂には版胴外
部に漏れ出してその廻りの機構部を汚損することにな
る。ところが、版胴の端縁を密封することは、版胴の分
解を含めた保守整備性を確保する上から設計上大きな制
約となっている。
