2. Description of the Related Art For example, a pipe member forming a heat exchange medium passage is connected to a screw member such as a joint fitting in a heat exchanger. When connecting these, it is required that the heat exchange medium is firmly fastened so that the heat exchange medium does not leak from the connecting portion. Therefore, since this type of screw member is required to have excellent strength, it is a strength improving element.
Al alloys containing Mg and Zn are widely used. The screw member may be joined and integrated with the main body member by brazing in a furnace such as vacuum brazing.

DISCLOSURE OF THE INVENTION Problems to be Solved by the Invention However, when using the furnace brazing method, the strength of the screw member, especially the surface layer of the screw member, because Mg and Zn in the screw member scatter into the furnace atmosphere during brazing. However, there is a problem in that the thread is likely to collapse when the screw is fastened.

Then, the screw member such as the joint fitting of this type and the main body member such as the heat exchanger main body are brought into the furnace in an assembled state, and are heated to be joined and integrated. The method of arranging the brazing filler metal at the time of joining may be according to a conventional method, for example, a method of arranging the brazing filler metal by forming a main body member with a so-called brazing sheet in which the brazing filler metal is clad on the surface of the core material, or a screw member. Any method such as arranging a sheet-shaped brazing material in advance between the main body member and the main body member can be adopted. The brazing in the furnace is not limited to vacuum brazing, but may be flux brazing or the like.

When brazing in the furnace, the cap member is detachably fitted to at least the screw portion of the screw member. Here, the cap member is not limited to one that is closed at one end, but also includes a cylindrical member. Further, the fitting does not necessarily mean only fitting in close contact with the surface of the screw portion, but also includes fitting in a slightly separated state. The cap member is for preventing scattering of Mg and Zn which are strength improving elements contained in the aluminum alloy forming the screw member. Therefore, the specific shape and fitting mode of the cap member are not particularly limited as long as they contribute to the prevention of the scattering of Mg and Zn during brazing. For example, if the screw member has a male screw portion on its peripheral surface like a joint fitting, a cap member having a female screw portion corresponding to the male screw portion is used. However, in this way, the entire screw portion may be substantially shielded from the atmosphere in the furnace, or a nut-like cap member may be adopted to surround only the peripheral side surface of the screw portion.
In addition, as described above, even when the screw member is fitted in such a manner as to cover the entire screw portion, or in the manner in which only the peripheral side surface of the screw portion is covered, the cap member is not covered by the surface of the screw portion. It may be fitted in a state in which it is slightly separated from the surface of the screw portion without being brought into close contact with. In the latter case,
Although the surface of the screw portion is not shielded from the atmosphere in the furnace, the object of the present invention can be sufficiently achieved.

The material of the cap member is not particularly limited, and stainless steel,
A metal such as an aluminum alloy or a nonmetal such as carbon or ceramics is preferably used. Needless to say, it must be able to withstand heating in the furnace.

Then, brazing in the furnace is carried out according to a conventional method with the cap member fitted. Then, after brazing, the cap member may be removed.

Then, as shown in FIG. 2, the joint member (2) is attached to the tube material (1a) of the heat exchanger body (1), and the male screw portion (2a) of the joint member (2) is capped. After fitting the member (3), it is loaded into the vacuum furnace (4) and pressure is 10 -5 to 10 -6 Torr, 600 ℃ × 30
It was heated for 1 minute, then taken out of the vacuum furnace (4) and naturally aged for 3 weeks. The brazing of the heat exchanger body (1) and the tube (1a) was performed by using the brazing material of the brazing sheet heat exchanger body (1).
