[Prior Art] Conventionally, a video camera device using one to three two-dimensional imaging elements (hereinafter, referred to as "imagers") such as an imaging tube and an imaging plate is known. [Problems to be Solved by the Invention] However, in the conventional video camera device, an imager having a large number of pixels must be used in order to increase the resolution, and the following problems occur with this. a. The number of pixels of the conventional TV standard imager is 200,000 to 400,000 pixels, and if the density is doubled, it is 800 to 1.6 million pixels, and the yield at the time of manufacturing the imager sharply decreases and becomes expensive. b. When the number of pixels of the imager increases, the size of the light receiving section increases (for example, 1/2 ″ → 1 ″), so the corresponding optical system increases, and the volume and weight of the video camera device increase. c. When the number of pixels of the imager increases, the data rate increases in proportion to this, and it becomes difficult to design a processing circuit corresponding to this. The present invention has been made in view of these problems. [Means for Solving the Problems] The present invention decomposes light passing through an imaging lens into three primary colors of red, blue and green, further divides the green primary light into two parts, and converts the green primary light into the red primary color light. The first imager is associated with the blue primary color light, the second imager is associated with the bisected green primary color light, and the third and fourth imagers are associated with each other. The third and fourth imagers are optically horizontal. And one of the field signals is constituted by the outputs of the first, second, and third imagers, and is shifted by 1/2 of the pixel pitch in the vertical direction. The output constitutes the other field signal. With this configuration, the vertical and horizontal resolutions can be increased without increasing the number of pixels of the imager. EXAMPLES Hereinafter, the present invention will be described with reference to examples. FIG. 1 is a block diagram of a video camera device which is an embodiment of the present invention. As shown in the figure, the light that has passed through the imaging lens reflects only the red primary color component at the R dichroic mirror, and the light that has passed through the R dichroic mirror reflects only the blue primary component at the B dichroic mirror. Then, the light passing through the B dichroic mirror, that is, the green primary color light component is further divided into two by a half mirror, and then arranged equally on the optical path, and each of R, B, G 1 and G 2 which operate in a no interlace mode. It is input to the imager and converted into an electric signal. FIG. 2 is a relative arrangement diagram of pixels showing a planar displacement of a pixel position of each imager in the embodiment. As shown in the figure, it corresponds to the divided green primary color light component.
The G 1 and G 2 imagers are optically displaced from each other in the horizontal and vertical directions by a half of the pixel pitch on a plane orthogonal to the optical axis. (Give optically ½ pitch offset between the R imager pixel and B imager pixel, is between the pixel and the G 1 imager pixel or G 2 imager pixel, the optical axis There is an optical misalignment of half the pixel pitch in the horizontal and vertical directions on the plane orthogonal to. The pixel surrounded by is the first field, and The pixels surrounded by are driven by the timing Gen section so that they are read out in the second field. That is, each imager is read out at the timing shown in FIG. 3, the first field signal is constituted by the outputs of the R imager, B imager, and G 1 imager, and is continuously output by the output of the R imager, B imager, G 2 imager. Second
The field signal of each field, R,
Although B signals are read from the pixels of the same position, the signal of G is to be read out from the position of a pixel different from the pixel, the G 2 pixels G 1. The basis for the configuration as described above is that the luminance signal Y is given by Y = 0.30R + 0.59G + 0.11B (1), G and the components are the main components of Y, and the color difference signal (BY) ) And (RY) are respectively given by the following equations, (BY) =-0.30R-0.59G + 0.89B (2) (RY) = 0.70R-0.59G-0.11B. (3) Even if the band of the chrominance signal is less than half of the band of the luminance signal from the visual characteristics, image quality deterioration is not perceived, and the number of pixels of R and B is set to 1 of G
Because / 2 does not affect the resolution. In FIG. 1 , the output from each imager of R, B, G 1 and G 2 is amplified by an amplifier and then processed by γ and Knee, and the encoder uses the above equations (1), (2) and (3). Is performed, and the Y, (RY) and (BY) signals are output. The switch S-1 is an electronic switch, and is controlled by a timing Gen section so as to be switched for each field. The signal accumulation time and the readout timing are as shown in FIG. 3. The imagers G 1 and G 2 accumulate twice as much as the imagers R and B, and the loss due to the half mirror is corrected. In this way, the horizontal and vertical resolutions can be approximately doubled as compared with a conventional video camera using an imager with the same number of pixels. As described above, according to the present invention, the horizontal and vertical resolutions can be approximately doubled without increasing the number of pixels of the imager, and the signal processing speed does not change regardless of the high resolution. Therefore, the construction of the processing circuit is easy, and it is not necessary to increase the size of the imager, so that the weight and volume of the optical system can be made compact.
