2. Description of the Related Art Generally, a spray gun for electrostatic coating attaches an electrode connected to a high-voltage generator via a high-voltage cable to a paint outlet of a nozzle, and contacts the electrode. In this way, the paint is charged with a negative charge, and the paint is ejected from the paint outlet, whereby the paint is applied to an object having a positive charge. When a paint with low electric resistance and good chargeability is used, a sufficient amount of negative charge is charged on the paint and a high coating is applied. Although painting can be performed efficiently, if a paint with high electric resistance and poor chargeability is used, a sufficient amount of negative charge cannot be charged to the paint, and the painting efficiency will decrease. Can not do good painting There were drawbacks.

The present invention is configured as described above, and the paint supplied from the paint supply source and flowing into the accommodation chamber from the inlet is connected to the high voltage generator so as to be charged negatively. The paint is directed to the outlet by passing through the flow gap of the body, but at this time, the paint is dispersed in a large number of flows and contacts the outer peripheral portion of the charged body and passes through the large number of flow gaps. The negatively-charged paint, which is charged, comes out of the paint spray port in a state of being further negatively charged by contacting the electrode, and is applied to the object to be coated. Charging is performed not only by contact with the electrode but also by contact with the charged body, and by increasing the total area of the paint in contact with the charged body, the charge amount of the paint is reduced. Coating, which has a high electrical resistance and poor chargeability. In the case where a paint is used, there is an effect that a sufficient negative charge can be charged to the paint to perform good painting with high coating efficiency.

At the front end of the gun body 1, a metal nozzle tip 21 having a paint outlet 23 formed at the tip of a paint inlet 22 communicating with the outlet 9 of the storage chamber 6 is screwed into the female screw hole 2. The nozzle 20 is formed by screwing it to the front end of a resin-made retainer 24 and attaching the synthetic resin air cap 25 to the front of the nozzle chip 21 and fixing it with a hub nut 26. A needle-like electrode 27 having a front end protruding from the paint outlet 23 is mounted in a paint introduction hole 22 of the nozzle chip 21 by a metal support 28 having a fixed rear end. The electrode 27 includes a compression coil spring 29 mounted on the inner periphery of the nozzle tip 21 and the retainer 24,
This is connected to a high-voltage generator via the filling metal 15 in order, so that a high-potential negative charge is charged similarly to the charged body 10 in the storage chamber 6. Pressurized air separately fed through a paint atomizing air supply passage 30 and a pattern adjustment air supply passage 31 formed in the gun body 1 by being fed from the supply source is supplied to the air cap 25.
The nozzles are sprayed from a paint atomizing air outlet 32 and a pattern adjusting air outlet 33.

The spray gun for electrostatic coating according to the present embodiment has the above-described configuration, and at the time of coating, the charged body 10 in the storage chamber 4 and the electrode 27 of the nozzle cap 21 are each charged with a high potential negative charge. When the paint is supplied through the paint supply passage 7 of the gun body 1 in a state where the pressurized air is ejected from the air ejection ports 32 and 33 of the air cap 25, the charged body 10 enters the housing chamber 6 from the inlet 8. Paint flowing in a direction substantially perpendicular to the axis of
It flows into the flow space 13 of the charged body 10 by passing through the flow gap 12 between the spring wires 11 of the charged body 10 by being divided into a number of flows, and by changing the direction of the flow in the flow space 13, the charged body 10 Flows out from the front open end through the outlet 9 to the nozzle tip 21 side, where the paint is charged.
When flowing into the circulation space 13 of 10, a large number of negative charges move from the charged body 10 to the paint because they are separated into many flows and come into contact with the surface of the spring wire 11, The paint flowing out of the storage chamber 6 passes through the paint introduction hole 22 of the nozzle tip 21 and is guided to the paint outlet 23, where it comes into contact with the electrode 27 and is ejected with a further negative charge. Is sprayed by the repulsion of static electricity and the jet of pressurized air jetting from the paint atomizing air jet 32 and is also jetted by the pressurized air jet jetted from the pattern adjusting air jet 33. Is formed in the shape of an ellipse and has a positive charge, and travels in the air by an electrostatic field formed between the object and the object to be coated.

The paint applied to the object to be coated receives a negative charge from the charged body 10 in the storage chamber 6 before being charged by the electrode 27, so that the conventional spray gun charged by only the electrode is used. The amount of negative charge is larger than that, which makes it possible to perform good coating with high coating efficiency even when using a coating that has a high electrical resistance value and is difficult to apply to an object to be coated due to poor chargeability. In the case where the distance between the spring wires 11 adjacent to each other in the axial direction of the charged body 10 is extremely small, the foreign matter mixed in the paint can be prevented from passing between the spring wires 11, Thereby, nozzle clogging can be prevented.

In the present embodiment, the charging member 10 is mounted in such a manner that its axis is directed to the opening direction of the outlet 9 and the outer peripheral surface where the flow gap 12 is formed corresponds to the inlet 8. Alternatively, the paint may be mounted so that the axis is oriented in the opening direction of the inflow port 8 and the outer peripheral surface thereof corresponds to the outflow port 9. In this case, the paint flowing into the storage chamber 6 is After flowing into the circulation space 13 of 10, the circulation gap 12
And flows to the outlet 9 through the flow path, and takes a negative charge by contacting the spring element wire 11 when passing through the flow gap 12.
