2. Description of the Related Art Japanese Patent Publication No. 53-23563 discloses an apparatus for filling compressed air into a rim-assembled tire. And an airtight ring are arranged so as to be able to approach or separate from the table on which the tires are mounted, and to apply compressed air to the inside of the rim-assembled tire using this device, The airtight plate and the airtight ring are arranged on a table so that the rotation axis and the axis of the airtight ring are substantially coaxial, and the airtight plate and the airtight ring are airtightly engaged with the rim flange portion and the side rubber of the tire, respectively. After supplying compressed air through a supply pipe into an airtight chamber formed between the airtight ring and the airtight ring, and filling the internal space of the tire with the compressed air for a predetermined time from a gap between the rim and the tire bead portion, Mind the airtight room While maintaining airtight up ring and the tire side rubber is disengaged, it is disclosed that to allow to lower the table.

In the above-described known filling apparatus, the state of the rim fit between the front side and the rear side of the tire is different, and therefore, the tire is originally symmetrical with respect to the equator of the tire. The cross-sectional shape of the tire wheel to be asymmetrical left and right causes unnecessary cornering force and SAT to occur, so that the desired tire performance cannot be exhibited. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION It is an object of the present invention to provide a tire inflator in which engagement with a rim at both side bead portions can be made uniform.

Next, as shown in FIG. 1B, pressurized air is injected from the charging means 5 as shown by the arrow, and the upper lid 4 is retreated while flowing into the pneumatic tire t through the gap g.
At this time, a part of the bead portion of the pneumatic tire t is first accommodated in the bead seat of the wheel rim on the left side of the figure, so that the upper lid 4 continues to retreat. As a result, the fitting of the bead portion to the bead seat proceeds sequentially over the entire circumference.

In this manner, as shown in FIG. 3C, the upper lid 4 further retreats and lifts up to release the pressure contact with the side wall of the pneumatic tire t after the bead portion at the upper side of the figure is achieved. When the inflow of the pressurized air continues at the lower side of the figure and reaches a predetermined pressure, the lower lid 2 is lowered so that the bead portion on the right side of the figure fits into the bead seat in the same manner as described above. Occurs.

The frame 25 incorporates a control means 31 shown in FIG. 3 (b) using a motor and an operating system of the top frame 17, which is not shown in the figure. It is as follows. That is, a screw sleeve 33 fixed to the upper surface of the upper lid 4 is screwed into a vertical shaft screw spindle 32 supported by, for example, three vertical bushings provided on the frame 25 by a chain transmission system connected to the output shaft of the motor 31. Thus, the vertical movement of the upper cover 4 is controlled by the sliding guide built in the frame 25 with respect to the rod protruding from the upper surface of the upper cover 4. The piston rod has a stem 12 of the center guide 3
Is fixed and provided for the ascending and descending movement.

The operating system for raising and lowering the upper lid 4 described above can be similarly applied to the control means for raising and lowering the lower lid 2 mentioned above. Using the tire inflator configured as described above, a pneumatic tire of size 185 / 65R15 and a tire-rim assembly composed of a 6J-15 wheel rim were subjected to inflation experiments and compared with the results of the conventional apparatus. Here, as shown in FIG. 4, the conventional device is used for a tire-rim assembly that is placed horizontally on a mounting table 34.
An airtight plate that presses against the edge of the flange of the wheel rim
35 and the hermetic ring 36 surrounding it and contacting the side wall near the bead portion of the tire were sequentially lowered and injected from the air supply port 38 through the hermetic chamber 37 between the hermetic plate 35 and the hermetic ring 36. Air from one side by filling compressed air through the gap between the bead portion and the bead seat of the wheel rim on the front side of the pneumatic tire and filling the airtight ring 36 under pressure contact by the airtight plate 35 This is a method for filling. In the comparative test, for the inflated tire wheel, the distance between the rim line of the tire and the outer periphery of the rim flange was measured at 36 places on each of the front and back surfaces of the tire, and the average value was evaluated. The results are listed in the following table.

When air is filled by a conventional device,
When using the tire inflator according to the present invention, the rim line of the tire has a longer distance on the front side where the top lid is applied and a shorter distance on the opposite back side, both sides of the tire wheel are from the rim outer periphery of the rim line. Is uniformly longer, and the adhesion between the tire bead portion and the rim is better as compared with the conventional device. In addition, when a feeling test was performed by a test driver on both tire wheels and the performance was confirmed, the tire wheels filled with the tire inflator according to the present invention obtained better results than the tire wheels according to the conventional device. .

1. A support base on which a tire-rim assembly in which a pneumatic tire is simply fitted on a wheel rim can be supported and transferred on a non-curved outer edge of a flange on one side of the wheel rim. A liftable bottom cover, which surrounds the support base with a gap around the flange and has a peripheral edge capable of contacting one side wall near the bead portion of the pneumatic tire; A center guide centered on the support base by engagement with the hole and capable of ascending and descending relative to the support base, and a center guide spaced apart around a non-curved outer edge of the other flange of the wheel rim. And a liftable upper lid having a peripheral edge that can contact the other side wall near the bead portion of the pneumatic tire by surrounding the stem of the pneumatic tire.
In the centering position of the rim assembly, the pressurized air passing through the gap between the bead seat of the wheel rim and the bead portion of the pneumatic tire under the pressure contact holding of both side walls of the pneumatic tire by the bottom lid and the top lid In addition to providing charging means that can start inflow,
A tire inflator characterized in that control means for sequentially releasing the bottom lid from the pressure contact with the side wall of the pneumatic tire after the top lid is provided on the bottom lid and the top lid.
