【産業上の利用分野】本考案は、犬や猫等のペットに取
付いた蚤を捕獲して紫外線により死滅する蚤駆除装置に
関するものである。

【従来の技術及び考案が解決しようとする課題】犬や猫
等のペットを飼っている家庭では、蚤の発生に悩まされ
ていることは周知のとおりである。その対策として、ペ
ットを飼う環境へは殺虫剤が多く用いられている。殺虫
剤としては、一般に、ピレスロイド系または有機リン系
等の薬物が用いられ、また殺虫方式としては、スプレー
式、蒔粉式、燻煙式等が一般的である。しかし、これら
毒性をもつ薬物を使用することは、人体への急性あるい
は慢性の毒性疾患の要因となりうるもので好ましいこと
とはいえない。
【０００３】また、犬や猫等のペットへの殺虫方法とし
ては、蚤取り首輪やシャンプー等が市販されているが、
蚤取り首輪についても薬剤を使用するものが多くあり、
また、シャンプーについては手間がかかるという難点が
ある。
【０００４】本考案は、上記従来の問題点を解決するた
めになされたもので、櫛と紫外線灯を備えた装置によ
り、犬や猫等のペットの身体を櫛で梳いて蚤を捕獲して
駆除しようとするものである。

【課題を解決するための手段】上記の目的を達成するた
めの本考案の構成について、実施例に対応する図面を参
照して説明すると、本考案は、下方が開放された箱状体
１内に、紫外線灯２を装着するとともに、該箱状体１の
下部に、箱状体１の内周に沿って環状に形成した櫛５を
着脱自在に設けた蚤駆除装置本体Ａと、この蚤駆除装置
本体Ａを収納する、上方が開放された収納箱Ｂとよりな
ることを特徴とするものである。

【作用】本考案の装置は、装置本体Ａを持って犬や猫の
毛を梳くように移動させてやれば、櫛刃４，４によっ
て、毛や毛間あるいは地肌に付着している蚤が梳き出さ
れて櫛刃４，４に捕獲されることになる。捕獲作業後は
装置本体Ａを収納箱Ｂに収め点灯すれば、紫外線の照射
により蚤は死滅することになる。

【実施例】以下、本考案の実施例について、図面を参照
して説明する。本考案の装置は、図１に示すように、蚤
駆除装置本体Ａとこの本体を収納する収納箱Ｂとを備え
ている。
【０００８】装置本体Ａは、図２、図３にも示すよう
に、平面ほぼ舟形に形成され、下方が開放された箱状体
１内に、Ｕ字状に形成された紫外線灯２が、箱状体１の
後部に設けられたソケット３を介して着脱自在に装着さ
れているとともに、箱状体１の開放された下部には、箱
状体１に内嵌する、多数の櫛刃４，４を突設した環状の
櫛５が着脱自在に嵌着されている。また、箱状体１の上
面部にはハンドル６が設けられ、さらに、箱状体１の下
端より少し上方位置の外面には、突起条７が周設されて
いる。なお、図中８は箱状体の後部に配設された紫外線
灯の駆動部、９は電源コードである。
【０００９】収納箱Ｂは、上方が開放された箱形で、上
記装置本体Ａの箱状体１に外嵌する平面形状に形成され
ており、箱状体１はその周面に形成した突条７を収納箱
Ｂの上端縁に乗せて嵌合され、突条７より下の部が収納
箱Ｂ内に収まるようになっている。さらに、この収納箱
Ｂおよび箱状体Ａの内面にはアルミ箔やアルミ蒸着によ
る反射被膜10が設けられている。
【００１０】本考案の蚤駆除装置は上述のように構成さ
れており、犬や猫等のペットの蚤を取るときは、装置本
体Ａを用い、紫外線灯２を点灯しない状態でペットの毛
を櫛刃４，４によって梳き、毛の間や地肌についている
蚤を梳き取るのである。そして、蚤駆除装置を収納箱Ｂ
に嵌合させた後、紫外線灯２を点灯して紫外線照射し、
梳取った蚤を死滅させるのである。

【考案の効果】以上説明したように、本考案によれば、
装置本体を犬や猫等のペットの身体に当てて移動してや
