適用される排土装置に関する。

(従来の技術) 第2図及び第3図に示すシールド掘削機22を例に従来
の技術を説明する。シールド掘削機22の土砂搬送装置で
あり、スクリュ駆動モータ19により回転させられるスク
リュ軸1に螺旋翼を取付け、ケーシング2によって囲繞
された、スクリュコンベア3において、地盤の水圧が高
い場合には、カッタチャンバ24、スクリュコンベア3を
経て、スクリュコンベア3の排土口5においても高水圧
が作用する。そこでスクリュコンベア3内の被圧水を止
水しながら、掘削土砂を排出する目的で、第4図に示す
ように、ケーシング7に内蔵され、軸受14、軸9によっ
て軸支され、一方の軸端にボールバルブ駆動モータ15が
連結されたボールバルブ6を用いたロータリバルブ式止
水装置Aをスクリュコンベア3の排土口5に連設する場
合が多い。なおボールバルブ6には土砂18を収容する円
筒状のチャンバ17を穿設してある。

(考案が解決しようとする課題) 従来のロータリバルブは、チャンバの形状が円筒状で

が低かった。
