幣集積部の他方の側部位置に設けられ、紙幣の側縁の他
方をたたき込みながら該紙幣を前記側縁規制部材に押し
付ける側縁揃え機構とを有し、 この側縁揃え機構は、紙幣の側縁をたたき込むためのた
たき部材と、該たたき部材を送りこまれる紙幣1枚毎に
紙幣集積部の側方から該紙幣集積部に向けて往復移動さ
せる往復駆動部と、往復駆動部のストローク量を紙幣の
金種に応じて設定する制御部とから構成され、 前記往復駆動部は、前記制御部から紙幣の金種に応じて
供給される制御信号によって金種に応じた回転角度で往
復回転するステッピングモータであって、このステッピ
ングモータの往復回転は、ステッピングモータの駆動軸
に連結されたレバーを介して前記たたき部材に伝達され
ることを特徴とする紙幣揃え装置。
