てから、芯金の膨大部分における釣竿形成用プリプレグ
捲回部分に熱収縮性チューブを被嵌した後、釣竿形成用
プリプレグ捲回部分の全長に亘り緊縛テープを一部重合
するように螺旋状に捲着し、次いで熱硬化処理後、芯
金、緊縛テープ及び熱収縮性チューブを除去して管状体
を形成することである。 前記芯金の基端部に形成する非円形の断面形状を有す
る膨大部は、その中心から外周部までの距離を断面最大
円形部における半径部より大きく形成し、捲回した釣竿
形成用プリプレグを熱硬化処理した後、芯金を大径側に
引抜きできるようにする。 また前記熱収縮性チューブとしてはシリコンゴム、弗
素ゴム等を使用し、緊縛テープは膨大部分においてはそ
の膨出度に応じて巻着ピッチを大きくするのが好まし
い。

ことにより、熱硬化処理時における膨大部分における釣
竿形成用プリプレグ含浸の合成樹脂の流動を熱収縮性チ
ューブで抑制して膨大部分の肉厚を略均一に形成して強
度の低下を防止する一方、芯金の断面円形部においては
釣竿形成用プリプレグの含浸合成樹脂を緊縛テープの間
隙から流出せしめながら熱硬化せしめた後、芯金を引抜
いて管状体を製造し、軽量かつ肉薄で強度バランスのと
れた握り部等の膨出部を有する釣竿を製造するものであ
る。

本発明の製造法を実施例について説明すると、芯金1
の基端部には非円形の膨大部2が形成されており、該膨

形成してあり、後述の熱硬化処理後に芯金1の大径部に
引抜くことができるように形成されている。 このように基端部に膨大部2を形成した芯金1に釣竿
形成用プリプレグ3を捲回した後、前記膨大部2におけ
る釣竿形成用プリプレグ3の外周部に熱収縮性チューブ
4を被嵌して仮収縮せしめてから釣竿形成用プリプレグ
3及び熱収縮性チューブ4の外周にセロファン等の緊薄
テープ5を螺旋状に一部重合するように捲着し、特にそ
の捲着ピッチは膨大部2の膨出度に応じて大きくなるよ
うに捲着するのが好ましい。 このようにした芯金1を常法に従い熱硬化処理した
後、芯金1を膨大部2側に引抜き、緊縛テープ5と熱収
縮性チューブ4を剥離除去して管状体6の釣竿を製造す
るものであり、製造された管状体6の膨出部分6′の表
面は平滑に形成され研磨は不要であり、熱収縮性チュー
ブ4を被着しない部分6″は緊縛テープ5の捲着跡を研
磨除去する。 しかして前記釣竿形成用プリプレグ3は従来と同様の
補強繊維シートに熱硬化性合成樹脂を含浸せしめたもの
を使用し、必要に応じて膨大部2との境界部に更に補強
用プリプレグ3を重合することもできる。 なお前記緊縛テープ5の捲着に当っては、釣竿成形用
プリプレグ3の捲回後、その全長に亘り捲着して釣竿形
成用プリプレグ3を緊縛してから膨大部2部分だけの緊
縛テープ5を剥いだ後熱収縮性チューブ4を被嵌して仮
収縮せしめ、次いで熱収縮性チューブ4外周に再び緊縛
テープ5を捲着すると、膨大部形成部分の釣竿形成用プ
リプレグ3が効率良く緊縛され、高品質の釣竿を製造で
きる。 また第10図に示すように熱収縮チューブ4を被嵌する
に先立って予め模様形成型板7を載置してこれを管状体
製造後除去すると第14図の如く管状体6の膨出部分6′
に模様形成型板7によって凹状模様7′を一体に形成す
ることができる。

本発明方法は熱硬化処理後に引抜きができるような断
面非円形の膨大部を基端部に形成した芯金に釣竿形成用
プリプレグを捲回し、その膨大部の釣竿形成用プリプレ
グ捲回部分だけを熱収縮性チューブで被着してから他の
部分と共に緊縛テープで螺旋状に捲着することによっ
て、強度低下が生じ易い膨出部分における釣竿形成用プ
リプレグの含浸合成樹脂の熱硬化処理時における流動を
抑制し膨出部を略均一の肉厚に形成することができると
共に強度変化の比較的少ないテーパー状断面円形管状部
は可及的に薄い均一な肉厚に形成でき、強度バランスの
取れた軽量な握り部等の膨出部を有する釣竿を能率良く
製造することができる。 また本発明方法による釣竿の膨出部は平滑に形成され
て研磨が不要であるため、研磨し辛い膨出部を研磨する
必要もなく、また研磨によって強度を低下することもな
く軽量で強度の安定した握り部等の膨出部を有する釣竿
を作業能率良く容易に製造することができる。
