A compact disc (CD) player is one of the typical optical disc reproducing devices, but when it is used in a vehicle, skipping of sound caused by vibration becomes a problem.
As is well known, since a CD player has a built-in servo circuit that minimizes a tracking error, the positional relationship between the optical reading section and the track is normally maintained with high accuracy.
However, when vibration is applied, a tracking error exceeding the lock range of the tracking servo circuit occurs and a track jump occurs. Even if a track skip occurs, it is possible to return to the original track by searching the control information, but until then, there is a temporary skip. Even if an anti-vibration material is used to improve this point, the effect of vibration cannot be completely eliminated.

The present invention provides a regular reading section for reading information on an optical disc along a track, a skipping detection section for detecting skipping from the output of the regular reading section, and an auxiliary for reading information a predetermined time ahead of the regular reading section. A reading unit, a delay circuit that delays the information read by the auxiliary reading unit by the predetermined time, an output of the regular reading unit is always reproduced, and the delay is generated when the sound skip detecting unit detects a sound skip. It is characterized by comprising an output switching section for reproducing the output of the circuit and a control section thereof.

When the two reading units read the same information with a time difference and delay the output of the auxiliary reading unit read first by the time difference, the delayed output is usually equal to the output of the normal reading unit read later. On the other hand, when the output of the regular reading unit is skipped due to the vibration, the delayed output of the auxiliary reading unit is the output of the same information that is read when the vibration is not generated. Therefore, the output of the regular reading section is always reproduced,
Immediately after a sound skip occurs in the output, the delay output of the auxiliary reading unit is switched to, so that a temporary sound skip due to vibration can be avoided.

FIG. 1 is a block diagram showing an embodiment of the present invention. 1 is a regular reading section, 2 is an auxiliary reading section, 3 is a delay circuit for delaying its output by t seconds, and 4 is a sound output from the regular reading section 1. A sound skip detection unit for detecting skipping, 5 is an output switching unit, 6 is a control unit thereof, 7 is a demodulation unit, and 8 is an output unit.

The reading units 1 and 2 have the same configuration and are arranged so as to optically read the same optical disk. However, the auxiliary reading unit 2 always reads information t seconds ahead of the regular reading unit 1. Therefore, if the output of the auxiliary reading unit 2 is delayed by the delay circuit 3 for t seconds, the delayed output becomes equal to the output of the regular reading unit 1. However, this is a case where there is no track jump due to vibration, and when this track jump occurs, the sound skip detection unit 4 produces a detection output. Therefore, when the control section 6 receives the detection output, it sends a switching signal to the output switching section 5 to switch the signal to be given to the demodulation section 7 from the output of the reading section 1 to the output of the delay circuit 3. As a result, the continuation of the output of the regular reading unit 1 is taken over by the output of the auxiliary reading unit 2 which has already been read at the same position t seconds before the sound skip occurs, so that after the input stage of the demodulation unit 7. The effect of skipping does not remain.

Note that it is natural to assume that sound skipping due to vibrations occurs simultaneously in the reading units 1 and 2, so that the above switching is meaningless if this continues for t seconds or more. Therefore, the output of the auxiliary reading unit 2 is monitored by the sound skip detecting unit 9, and the detected output is delayed by the delay circuit 10 for t seconds. In this case, if the delay circuit 10 produces a detection output at the same time that the sound skip detection circuit 4 produces a detection output, it can be determined that the sound skip has continued for t seconds or more. 6 sends a mute signal to mute the output of the output switching section 5.

FIG. 2 is a block diagram common to the sound skip detectors 4 and 9, 20 is a buffer amplifier for amplifying the output of the reading unit, 21 and 22 are peak hold circuits for detecting the envelope of the amplifier output, 23
Is a comparator. Since the time constant τ is small, the peak hold circuit 21 produces an output having the contour of the reading section output.
On the other hand, since τ of the peak hold circuit 22 is large, the maximum value of the reading section output is maintained for a long time. Therefore, if the latter output is appropriately divided by the resistors R 1 and R 2 and used as the reference value of the comparator 23, when the output of the reading unit suddenly drops in level due to sound skipping, pulse-like sound skipping occurs in the output of the comparator 23. The detection output is obtained.
