The stacking cone 1b shown in FIGS. 13 (a) and 13 (b) is of a type in which an upper cone 2, a lower cone 3 and an intermediate pedestal 4 are integrally molded (hereinafter referred to as an integral stacking cone). The lower cone 2 is provided with a latch 6 which moves in and out by operating the lever 5, and a lock pin 7 which is spring-formed upward on the pedestal 4. The latch 6 is in a projecting state when the lever 5 is turned to the position indicated by the alternate long and short dash line, and is retracted when turned to the position indicated by the solid line downward. The lower cone 3 is automatically coupled to the container corner fitting by inserting the lower cone 3 into the container corner fitting with the latch 7 protruding, and the latch 5 can be retracted by the lever 5 when released. After inserting the upper cone 2 into the container corner fitting from below, turn the entire cone 1 clockwise about 30 degrees to connect it to the upper container,
Further, at this position, the lock pin 7 is fitted into the hole of the container corner fitting so as to be locked, and at this time, the lower cone 3 has an angle that can be inserted into the hole of the corner fitting of the lower container. When landing a container in which stacking cones 1a or 1b of either type are stacked on the deck, the upper cone 2 is connected and the lower cone 3 is released to hang the container before landing on the container. Remove stacking cone 1a or 1b from.
When stacking the containers on the deck, stacking cones will be attached to the lower corner fittings of the container when the crane lifts the container from the land.

The above-mentioned stacking and removing of stacking cones to and from the container has been done manually by workers for a long time, but it is dangerous to perform heavy work because one cone weighing 7 to 8 kg is manually operated. I came with him. For this reason, attempts have been made in recent years to attach and detach it by mechanical operation (for example, Shoukai 64-1198).
However, much extra time has been wasted in the work of attaching and detaching the stacking cones, as it has not yet developed a truly effective means.

In the case of the rotary stacking cone (Fig. 12), after the container has landed on the support base, the restraint means is engaged with the operation lever, and the upper drive cone is turned to the open position by turning the operation lever by the turning drive means. Move all at once. In this state, the auxiliary trolley of the crane lifts the container on the support table and drops it to the ground. Thus, when the container is suspended from the support, the stacking cone remains on the support and the lower cone is returned to the release position by the return drive of the swing drive means. Next, when the seat and the upper receiver are reversed by driving the reversing drive means, the stacking cone drops from the seat and the upper receiver into the cone storage box prepared in advance. Waiting for the stacking cone to fall and receiving the reverse drive of the reversing drive means to return the upper receiver to its original horizontal position and wait for the arrival of the next landing container again.

During container loading: While waiting for the container to arrive, take out the stacking cones from the storage box into each receiving unit, insert the lower cones, and set the upper cones in the open state. Since this cone setting work may be performed at the same place, it is possible to prepare a chain block or the like at that place in advance and use mechanical force. The container hung from the ground is aligned and landed on the supporting base with the stacking cone set by the auxiliary trolley of the crane, and the upper cone of the stacking cone on the supporting base is fitted into the lower corner fitting of the container. After the upper cone is connected by the swing drive means and the lower cone is operated to the release position, the container on the support table is lifted by the main trolley of the crane, and the stacking cone is connected with the container and together with the deck of the ship. It is transported to the other container above, and the lower cone is inserted and landed. Joining of the lower cone to the container at this position is done manually by the operator. A stacking cone is similarly set on the support table for mounting on the next container, and the arrival of the next shipping container is waited for.
