Description
The present invention relates to a light-emitting fabric, and more specifically to a light-emitting fabric in which a layering method is applied to a fabric using optical fibers and reflective, diffusive, and light-absorbing materials, and a method for manufacturing the same.
In recent years, textile lighting and display devices using LEDs and optical fibers have been developed.
The optical fiber is an optical fiber that has a core with a high refractive index in the center and a cladding with a relatively low refractive index on the outside, so that light passing through the core is totally reflected.
This type of optical fiber has the advantage of having very little energy loss, so the loss rate of transmitted and received data is also low, and it is hardly affected by external influences.
On the other hand, an optical fiber in which both the core and cladding are made of a light-transmitting plastic material is called a plastic optical fiber (POF), and compared to general optical fibers made of glass, the plastic optical fiber is more flexible and resistant to vibration and bending.
The applicant has disclosed display devices using optical fibers and techniques for manufacturing the same in numerous patent applications, including the following
For example, Figure 1 shows a configuration diagram of a conventional optical fiber display device.
As shown in FIG. 1, a conventional optical

However, in conventional optical fiber display devices, even when connecting the light source unit via the
As mentioned above, conventional optical fiber display devices require the insertion and connection of individual optical fibers or optical fiber bundles into the respective insertion holes formed in the connector, which reduces workability and increases the effort and cost required for manufacturing.
Meanwhile, conventional fiber optic display devices display letters, figures, patterns (hereinafter referred to as "designs"), etc. by embroidering fiber optic threads on the surface of a textile fabric or coating a portion of a fabric woven with fiber optic threads and textile threads.
However, the above embroidery method has the problem that it takes a lot of time to program the sewing device to embroider the desired design, which reduces productivity.
Furthermore, this coating method has the problem of reducing visibility due to the phenomenon of light bleeding between the design and the coated surrounding area.
In addition, both the embroidery and coating methods have the limitation of being less efficient because they only use one side of the fabric to illuminate the desired design.
The object of the present invention is to solve the problems described above, and to provide a light-emitting fabric and a manufacturing method thereof, in which a layering method is applied to reflective, light-absorbing, and diffusive materials in a fabric made of optical fiber yarn.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a light-emitting fabric using a layering method, which can simplify the manufacturing process, shorten the work time, and improve workability, and a method for manufacturing the same.
A further object of the present invention is to provide a luminous fabric that uses a layering method, and a manufacturing method thereof, that can illuminate a desired design using both sides of the fabric, not just one side.
In order to achieve the above-mentioned object, the light-emitting fabric using the layering method according to the present invention is characterized in that it is manufactured by layering in order a fabric layer manufactured by weaving a mixture of optical fiber yarns and fiber yarns, a light-absorbing layer that is laminated on one or both sides of the fabric layer in the peripheral area of the design area to be illuminated and absorbs the light emitted from the optical fiber yarns, a diffusion layer that is laminated as a whole on the fabric layer on which the light-absorbing layer is formed and diffuses the light, and a color layer that is laminated on the diffusion layer and coats the design area and the peripheral area.
In order to achieve the above-mentioned object, the method for manufacturing a light-emitting fabric using the layering method according to the present invention is characterized in that the light-emitting fabric is manufactured using the layering method through the steps of (a) manufacturing a fabric layer by weaving a mixture of optical fiber yarn and fiber yarn, (b) laminating a light-absorbing layer on one or both sides of the fabric layer in the peripheral area of the design area to be lit up, (c) laminating a diffusion layer as a whole on the fabric layer on which the light-absorbing layer is laminated, and (d) laminating a color layer on the diffusion layer to coat the design area and the peripheral area.
In order to achieve the above-mentioned object, the method for manufacturing a light-emitting fabric using a layering method according to the present invention is characterized in that the light-emitting fabric is manufactured using a layering method through the steps of (a) manufacturing a fabric layer by weaving a mixture of optical fiber yarn and fiber yarn, (b) laminating a light-absorbing layer in the peripheral area of a design area to be lit on one or both sides of the fabric layer, (c) laminating a diffusion layer on the entire fabric layer on which the light-absorbing layer is laminated, and (d) laminating a color layer on the diffusion layer to coat the design area and the peripheral area.
As described above, according to the light-emitting fabric and its manufacturing method using the layering method of the present invention, the visibility of the light-emitting fabric can be improved by applying a layering method in which a reflective layer is laminated on one side of a fabric layer in which optical fiber yarns are woven, and a light-absorbing layer, a diffusing layer, and a hue layer are laminated on the entire surface of the fabric layer.
In addition, according to the present invention, in the luminous fabric, a light absorbing layer and a hue layer are provided in the peripheral area of the design, which sufficiently blocks the luminous emission through the peripheral area and maximizes the luminous intensity difference between the design area and the peripheral area, thereby further improving the luminous effect.
Furthermore, compared to the embroidery method using conventional technology, the present invention makes it possible to manufacture luminous textiles that emit light in the desired design through only the lamination process of each layer, thereby shortening the work time and improving productivity.
Furthermore, according to the present invention, the same or different designs can be applied to both sides of the fabric layer, and a light absorbing layer, a diffusing layer, and a color layer can be laminated on each side, so that two designs can be illuminated using one light-emitting fabric.
As a result, according to the present invention, it is possible to effectively display various designs such as letters, numbers, figures, patterns, and images using both sides of the luminous fabric, improving the visibility of the displayed designs.
Hereinafter, a light-emitting fabric using a layering method according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention and a method for manufacturing the same will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.

Next, referring to FIG. 4, a method for manufacturing a light-emitting fabric using a layering method according to the first embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail.
First, in step S10 of FIG. 4, the worker weaves a mixture of
A
In this embodiment, the light-emitting
In step S12, a
The
The light irradiated from the
In this way, the present invention can increase the brightness of the light emitted to the front of the light-emitting fabric by laminating a reflective layer on the rear surface of the fabric layer.
In step S14, a
The
In step S16, the
The
Such a
In step S18, a
The
The
The
The
For example, referring to FIG. 2, the
Therefore, the control unit provided in the light-emitting display device can selectively control the driving of multiple light sources provided in the
Therefore, the present invention can improve the aesthetics and visibility of the luminous fabric by illuminating the letters, images, figures, numbers, etc. contained in the design area in the same or different ways.
In this way, the present invention can improve the visibility of the luminous fabric by applying a layering method in which a reflective layer is laminated on the rear surface of a fabric layer in which optical fiber threads are woven, and a light absorbing layer, a diffusing layer, and a hue layer are formed on the front surface of the fabric layer.
The present invention also provides a light absorbing layer and a hue layer in the peripheral area of the design in the luminous fabric, which sufficiently blocks the luminescence through the peripheral area and maximizes the luminous intensity difference between the design area and the peripheral area, thereby further improving the luminous effect.
In addition, compared to the embroidery method of the conventional technology, the present invention makes it possible to manufacture luminous textiles that emit light in the desired design through only the lamination process of each layer, thereby shortening the work time and improving productivity.
In addition, the present invention weaves multiple optical fiber threads arranged side by side, so that even if one optical fiber thread is broken due to an external impact, the other optical fiber threads can still emit light normally.

Here, the first and
In this way, the present invention applies the same or different designs to both sides of the fabric layer, and laminates a light absorbing layer, a diffusing layer, and a color layer on each side, making it possible to emit light from two designs using a single light-emitting fabric.
As a result, the present invention can effectively display various designs such as letters, numbers, figures, patterns, and images using both sides of the luminous fabric, improving the visibility of the displayed designs.
