結晶粒子の粒径は特に限定されないが、触媒性能の点から、平均粒径が300nm以下であることが好ましい。なお本実施形態において、結晶粒子の粒径は、各粒子の2軸平均径とし、電子顕微鏡観察により各粒子の短径と長径を決定し、その平均径を粒径とする。 The particle size of the crystal particles is not particularly limited, but from the viewpoint of catalytic performance, it is preferable that the average particle size is 300 nm or less. In this embodiment, the particle size of the crystal particles is the biaxial average diameter of each particle, and the short diameter and long diameter of each particle are determined by observation with an electron microscope, and the average diameter is regarded as the particle size.
また触媒性能の点から、結晶粒子は比表面積が高いことが好ましい。本触媒において結晶粒子のBET表面積は2m2g-1以上が好ましい。 Further, from the viewpoint of catalytic performance, it is preferable that the crystal particles have a high specific surface area. In the present catalyst, the BET surface area of the crystal particles is preferably 2 m 2 g -1 or more.
The BET surface area of the crystal particles can be measured by the following method.
First, the crystal particles to be measured are sealed in a specific surface area measuring device, and degassed by evacuating while heating. After degassing, the device is cooled to room temperature, and then immersed in a container containing liquid nitrogen and further cooled. After cooling to the liquid nitrogen temperature, gas is sealed in the device while changing the pressure stepwise. A nitrogen gas isothermal adsorption curve is measured, and the specific surface area is calculated from the isothermal adsorption curve using the BET formula (the following formula (3)). For example, a fully automatic specific surface area measuring device can be used to measure the isothermal adsorption curve.
横軸にP/Po、縦軸にP/V(Po-P)を取りプロットすると直線(BETプロット)が得られる。この直線の切片と傾きからVmが求められ、比表面積SBETは下式(4)にから計算する。
SBET=Vm×N×Am 式(4)
ここで、SBETは比表面積、Nはアボガドロ数であり、Amは窒素ガス1分子の占める面積(0.162nm2)である。
Plotting P/Po on the horizontal axis and P/V (Po-P) on the vertical axis gives a straight line (BET plot). Vm is calculated from the intercept and slope of this straight line, and the specific surface area S BET is calculated from the following formula (4).
S BET = Vm × N × Am Equation (4)
Here, S BET is the specific surface area, N is Avogadro's number, and Am is the area occupied by one molecule of nitrogen gas (0.162 nm 2 ).
