The transfer target with the laminated optical decoration can be obtained by hot stamping hot stamping foil onto the transfer target. Also described is a method of hot stamping a hot stamping foil onto a printed body. The printed body can be a printable paper, a printable polymer film, a printed paper, a printed polymer film.
A hot stamping foil (for example, see Patent Document 1) is hot stamped onto a transfer target. Moreover, it can be made into a hot stamping foil that can be hot stamped onto a printed body. The printed material can be security printed. Security printing is a measure to prevent fraud, such as forgery, falsification, and eavesdropping on information that should be kept confidential, as well as a measure to make it easy to determine the presence or absence of fraud even if there is a concern about such fraud (hereinafter referred to as "counterfeit prevention"). (referred to as "countermeasures"), and printing that requires counterfeit prevention measures. Application examples of security printing are tickets, banknotes, authentication cards, tags, stickers, authentication pages, game cards, posters, greeting cards, business cards, etc.
Hot stamping foil can be applied to security printing. Hot stamping foil is applied to the surface of the security print where authentication is required.
セキュリティ印刷は、チケット、紙幣、カード、冊子、ポスター等の偽造防止や、ブランド品や高級品等の一般的に高価なものへの適用ニーズが多く、真正であることの証明として、ホットスタンピング箔を適用することが知られている。ホットスタンピング箔は、これらの要求に効果的に応えることができる。また、ホットスタンピング箔を、印刷体にホットスタンプすることで、印刷体に意匠性に優れた視覚効果を付与することができる。 Security printing has many needs for preventing counterfeiting of tickets, banknotes, cards, booklets, posters, etc., and for generally expensive items such as branded goods and luxury goods.Hot stamping foil is used as proof of authenticity. is known to apply. Hot stamping foil can effectively meet these demands. Furthermore, by hot stamping the hot stamping foil onto the printed material, it is possible to impart a visual effect with excellent design to the printed material.
近年、ホットスタンピング箔において光学効果を発現させる技術の一つとして、光の回折を用いて立体画像、特殊な装飾画像、特殊な色の変化等を表現し得るホログラムや回折格子、また、屈折率の異なる多層の無機堆積層によって見る角度により色の変化(カラーシフト)を生じる多層薄膜、等の技術を利用した積層光学構造体である、いわゆるOVD(Optical Variable Device)が利用されている。
In recent years, as one of the technologies to create optical effects in hot stamping foil, holograms and diffraction gratings, which can express three-dimensional images, special decorative images, special color changes, etc. using light diffraction, and
OVDは、高度な製造技術を要すること、独特な視覚効果を有し、一瞥で真偽が判定できることから、有効な偽造防止手段としてカード、有価証券、証明書類等の一部あるいは全面に形成される。最近では、有価証券以外にもスポーツ用品やコンピュータ部品をはじめとする電気製品ソフトウェア等に貼り付けられ、その製品の真正さを証明する認証シールや、それら商品のパッケージに貼りつけられる封印シールとしても広く使われるようになってきた。 OVD requires advanced manufacturing technology, has a unique visual effect, and can be used to determine authenticity at a glance. Therefore, OVD can be formed on part or all of cards, securities, certificates, etc. as an effective means of preventing counterfeiting. Ru. Recently, in addition to securities, it has also been used as an authentication seal affixed to sporting goods, computer parts, and other electrical product software, to prove the authenticity of the product, and as a seal affixed to the packages of such products. It has become widely used.
In general, OVD is a counterfeit prevention means that is difficult to create elaborate forgeries and is easy to confirm. When affixing OVD to paper or plastic such as tickets, banknotes, cards, booklets, etc., a thermal transfer method is often adopted from the viewpoint of making it difficult to replace the OVD.
In order to meet the increasing demand for OVD, there is a need to improve the throughput of thermal transfer methods. In order to improve throughput, a plurality of multilayer optical structures are arranged side by side in the flow direction on a substrate, and by repeating the application and conveyance at high speed, continuous application can be achieved at high speed.
基材の流れ方向に複数の多層光学構造体を配置したテープ状のホットスタンピング箔を転写対象に高速で連続転写した後、貼付物の表面を観察すると、表面に擦り傷が発生していることがある。このような擦り傷は外観を悪化させる。さらに、耐久性が必要な物品に適用した場合は、流通や使用の過程で擦り傷が生じる可能性もあり、偽造防止効果にも悪影響を与える。 After continuously transferring a tape-shaped hot stamping foil with multiple multilayer optical structures arranged in the flow direction of the base material to a transfer target at high speed, when observing the surface of the pasted object, it was found that scratches had occurred on the surface. be. Such scratches worsen the appearance. Furthermore, when applied to articles that require durability, there is a possibility that scratches may occur during distribution and use, which adversely affects the anti-counterfeiting effect.

本発明によれば、高速転写に対応できうる転写性と、優れた表面耐摩耗性とを兼ね備えるホットスタンピング箔を提供できる。 According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a hot stamping foil that has both transferability that can handle high-speed transfer and excellent surface abrasion resistance.
Embodiments will be described with reference to the drawings.
FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view schematically illustrating a
The laminated
特に耐熱性を考慮すると、PET(ポリエチレンテレフタレート)、PEN(ポリエチレンナフタレート)、PC(ポリカーボネート)が好ましい。
The material of the polymer film can be a thermoplastic resin or a soluble resin, and the thermoplastic resin can be a polyolefin resin. The polyolefin resin has appropriate adhesion to the laminated optical decoration. The polyolefin resin can releasably hold the laminated optical decoration. Therefore, as the polyolefin resin, a resin having an aromatic group in its molecular structure is used. In particular, considering heat resistance, PET (polyethylene terephthalate), PEN (polyethylene naphthalate), and PC (polycarbonate) are preferable. All of these resins have an aromatic structure in the main chain or side chain.

積層光学装飾体は、キャリア10側から表面保護層21、光学形成層22の順で上層機能層20が形成され、続いて反射層31、下層保護層32、クッション層33,接着層34の順で下層機能層30が形成されている。反射層31は、積層光学装飾体の全面に形成されるか、一部に形成されるか、省略される。クッション層33は、下層保護層32に形成されるが、反射層31が省略された部位においては、光学形成層22上に形成することもできる。積層光学装飾体の各層についての詳細を以下に説明する。
In the laminated optical decoration body, the upper

The weight average molecular weight of each resin is preferably 150,000 or less. The weight average molecular weight is an important value for predicting the physical properties of a resin. If the weight average molecular weight of the resin used is greater than 150,000, the strength of the resin film will increase, and the foil will be less likely to break (described later) after being pasted. In other words, it is preferably 150,000 or less because the adhesiveness decreases. If it is difficult to measure the weight average molecular weight of a single resin, for example, it is preferable to separate only the upper functional layer and measure the molecular weight in bulk, and the molecular weight at the start of the measurement peak is 5 million or less. Molecular weight can be measured using a commercially available gel chromatography system (for example, manufactured by Shimadzu Corporation).
In order to enhance the surface protection function of the transferred material, it is preferable to increase the proportion of the resin having an aromatic structure in the

The spacer particles have an average particle size larger than the thickness of the
The spacer particles can be a blend of particles having two types of average particle diameters. At this time, the average particle diameter of the relatively smaller particle group of the spacer particles may be in the range of 1 to 10 μm, and the average particle diameter of the relatively larger particle group may be in the range of 10 μm to 30 μm. When blending particle groups with two types of average particle diameters, the volume ratio of the larger particle group can be made larger than the smaller average particle size. The volume ratio of the larger particle group to the smaller particle group can be 1:50 or more and 1:2 or less. Furthermore, the spacer particles can be a blend of particles having two or more types of average particle diameters.
Spacer particles can be regular or irregularly shaped particles. Regularly shaped particles can be ellipsoidal particles or spherical particles. Regular particles tend to maintain a stable gap. Elliptical particles are robust to pressure. Spherical particles provide a constant response to pressure. Amorphous particles can reduce costs. It is preferable to use monodispersed particles with uniform particle diameters. Monodispersity generally means that the CV value = (standard deviation/average value) is 10% or less.
The spacer particles can be made of an inorganic material, a heat-resistant resin, or a composite of an inorganic and heat-resistant resin. Inorganic can be an inorganic compound or pure substance. Inorganic compounds can be silica, calcium carbonate, talc, barium sulfate, mica, aluminum hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide, and kaolin clay. The pure substance can be carbon black. The heat-resistant resin used as the material for the spacer particles can be a synthetic resin or a natural material. Moreover, the composite of inorganic and heat-resistant resin of the spacer particles 41 can be made of the above-mentioned materials as inorganic and heat-resistant resin, respectively. Inorganic materials tend to have heat resistance and chemical resistance. Synthetic resins are easy to obtain heat resistance and chemical resistance.

In order to realize high-speed continuous pasting, it is necessary to peel off the carrier and the laminated optical decoration body after pasting at high speed. In particular, if the entire laminated optical decoration is not transferred and a part of it remains on the carrier, the boundary between the part that is transferred and joined to the transfer target and the part that is not transferred and remains on the carrier It is important that the "material breakage" in which the laminated optical decorative body is torn in the thickness direction is completed promptly.
The inventors focused on the fact that the lower the vertical material breaking strength measured in accordance with JIS K 6854-1, the more likely the material will break with a small amount of tension in the applicator. We have discovered the possibility of using this as an index for evaluating the continuous adhesion of . As a result of intensive studies, the inventors found that continuous application is easy when the average vertical fracture strength measured 10 times is 12 gf/mm or less.

各例のホットスタンピング箔に対し、以下の評価を行った。
<転写性>
The hot stamping foils of each example were evaluated as follows.
<Transferability>
Vertical fracture strength was measured using a roller peeling device in accordance with JIS K 6854-1. Specifically, the details are as follows.
As an apparatus, Tensilon RTF-1225 (manufactured by A&D Co., Ltd.) equipped with a 90° peeling stage (printed board 90° peeling J-PZ-200N) was used. The hot stamping foil to be measured was cut into a tape shape with a width of 10 mm, and a part of the laminated optical decoration was placed on a pasting medium made of high-quality paper (64 g/m 2 manufactured by Nippon Paper Industries) at a pressure of 0.4 t/cm 2 and a stamping temperature of 120. They were bonded by thermocompression bonding at .degree. C. and set on the 90.degree. peeling stage. With back tension applied to the application medium, the laminated optical decoration that is not bonded to the application medium is pulled together with a carrier at 100 mm/min using a Tensilon, and the first stress peak caused by the material breakage of the laminated optical decoration is measured in the width direction. The vertical fracture strength was calculated by dividing by the dimension and calculating the numerical value per mm.
In the above evaluation, if the adhesion of the laminated optical decoration to the high-quality paper is weak, other attachment media may be used. If the application medium is not stiff, the application medium to which the laminated optical decoration is bonded may be applied to a 1 mm thick PET board and then set on a peeling stage.
<Abrasion resistance>
It was conducted in accordance with JIS K 5701-1. Specifically, a test piece similar to that used for transferability evaluation was set in a Gakushin friction tester (friction tester type II, manufactured by Yasuda Seiki Seisakusho), and a 1 kg load was applied to a white cloth (Kanakin No. 3), which is a friction cloth. In this state, it was moved back and forth over the laminated optical decoration body 100 times. Observe the scratches after reciprocating, and if the reflective layer has a scratch with a width of 20 μm or more and a length of 2 mm or more, it is judged as defective (×), if the scratch is smaller than that, it is rejected (△), and the reflective layer has scratches. Those that did not occur were evaluated as passing (〇).
結果を表1に示す。 The results are shown in Table 1.
芳香族構造を有する樹脂を含む本実施例ではいずれも耐摩擦性評価において反射層の傷つきを認めず、良好な耐摩耗性が確認された。
また、芳香族構造を有する樹脂と有さない樹脂とがブレンドされた表面保護層を有する実施例では、垂直材破強度が小さくなる傾向がみられ、より転写性が良好であった。
一方、表面保護層に芳香族構造を有する樹脂を含まない比較例では、耐摩耗性が十分でなかった。
In all of the examples containing resins having an aromatic structure, no damage to the reflective layer was observed in the abrasion resistance evaluation, confirming good abrasion resistance.
In addition, in Examples having a surface protective layer in which a resin having an aromatic structure and a resin not having an aromatic structure were blended, the vertical breakage strength tended to be lower, and the transferability was better.
On the other hand, a comparative example in which the surface protective layer did not contain a resin having an aromatic structure did not have sufficient wear resistance.
