Abstract
Description
TECHNICAL FIELD The present disclosure relates to apparatus and methods for transporting articles such as containers.
A line that manufactures packaged beverage products includes, for example, a storage conveyor (accumulation conveyor) that can store a large number of containers between upstream equipment that fills containers with product liquid and downstream equipment such as inspection equipment. It is equipped with
The width of the storage conveyor is sufficiently wide compared to the width of the supply conveyor that supplies containers to the storage conveyor. Containers are transferred from the supply conveyor to a storage conveyor perpendicular to the supply conveyor, and a large number of containers are stored in a state where the containers are dispersed over the entire width of the storage conveyor. In this case, it is possible to deal with the difference in capacity between the upstream device and the downstream device, and even if one of the upstream device and the downstream device is stopped, the other can continue to operate.
In order to distribute and supply containers in the width direction to a storage conveyor, a pressing guide is known that presses downstream a group of containers conveyed in a dense state by a supply conveyor, as shown in Patent Document 1.
Alternatively, as shown in
The conveyance device shown in FIG. 1 of Patent Document 1 includes a supply conveyor (4) in which a guide (20A) and a pressure guide (20B) are installed, and a first conveyor (18A) orthogonal to the supply conveyor (4). ), a second conveyor (18B), a third conveyor (8), and a storage conveyor (10) connected in series to the first conveyor (18A).
The pressure guide (20B) has a weir curved in a convex direction with respect to the container group so as to prevent the movement of a part of the container group conveyed in a predetermined direction by the supply conveyor (4) and cause the container group to stay there. There is. A similar pressure guide is also described in FIG. 4 of
When containers are transferred from a supply conveyor to a downstream conveyor, the number of rows of containers increases. Considering the relationship between the number of rows of containers and the conveyance speed under a predetermined capacity, the speed of the storage conveyor when storing containers is set lower than the speed of the supply conveyor. When the crowded containers are pressed by the pressure guide, they are spread out on the supply conveyor and pushed to the storage conveyor.
It is desired to avoid excessive pressure being applied to the containers on the supply conveyor due to the pressure guide pressing the crowded containers to which a predetermined line pressure is applied. Furthermore, because the containers tend to be unevenly arranged due to the convex weir of the pressure guide, containers are likely to be pushed by other containers and fall over, for example, in the gap on the back side of the weir.
In Patent Document 1, the speed of the supply conveyor (4) that is the most upstream among the supply conveyor (4), the first to third conveyors (18A, 18B, 8), and the storage conveyor (10) is high. More specifically, among the parallel-connected conveyors (4A, 4B) constituting the supply conveyor (4), the speed of the conveyor (4B) that transfers containers to the first conveyor (18A) is the fastest. In other words, by applying relatively large line pressure to the container and using the pressure guide (20B) when transferring it from the supply conveyor (4) to the first conveyor (18A), the container is transferred onto the supply conveyor (4). The container is expanded and pushed onto the first conveyor (18A). According to the configuration of Patent Document 1, since the pressure guide (20B) exerts a large resistance on the moving container, it is difficult to prevent the deformation of a thin-walled container due to pressure.
On the other hand, according to the configuration of
As described above, the present disclosure makes it possible to transfer articles from an upstream conveyor to a downstream conveyor in a state where they are sufficiently dispersed in the width direction, while avoiding excessive pressure being applied to articles such as containers and overturning of the articles. The purpose of this invention is to realize a conveying device and a conveying method with a simple structure.

The transportation method according to the present disclosure includes:
A plurality of articles lined up in p rows (p>2) are directed toward the upstream side of a first conveyor that conveys the articles in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction,
a first step of moving the articles lined up in p rows in the first direction in a third direction inclined with respect to both the first direction and the second direction;
a second step of transferring the article beyond the boundary along the first direction of the supply section and the first conveyor from the supply section that moves the article in the third direction to the first conveyor located downstream;
Equipped with
In the first step,
The articles are arranged in P rows and row pitch P1 along the third direction by a single alignment guide whose posture is fixed in a straight line or substantially straight line across at least both ends in a plan view,
In the second step,
Articles are transferred to the first conveyor in p rows and row pitch P2 (P2>P1).
According to the conveying device and the conveying method of the present disclosure, while avoiding excessive pressure being applied to the article due to the use of a pressure guide or partition guide, or overturning of the article due to uneven placement of the article, The articles can be expanded in the first direction based on the alignment of the articles in the triangular area that the alignment guide makes with respect to the boundary. By doing so, it is possible to transfer the articles to the downstream conveyor in a state where they are sufficiently dispersed in the width direction while reducing line pressure.
In addition, since it is sufficient to install a single alignment guide with a straight and simple shape as a guide to change the alignment direction of multiple rows of articles, the structure is simpler than when using a pressure guide or multiple partition guides. It is.

[Functions and effects of the conveyance device]
As shown in FIG. 1, the
In the first step S1, the moving direction of the container group is bent with respect to the first direction D1 by the
Unlike the case where a pressure guide with unevenness is used, the
However, it is also permissible that the gap exists in the container group arranged in the triangular region R2.
Even if the
As each
When the speed v 0 of the
In the third step S3, the
In the example shown in FIG. 1, the
Furthermore, the
According to the conveying device 1 of this embodiment and the conveying method according to steps S1 to S3, the
In other words, by using the
A typical example of distributing the
In contrast to the above-mentioned typical example, according to the present embodiment, excessive pressure may be applied to the
Since the
Moreover, since the
As described above, it is possible to realize a transport device 1 and a transport method that can smoothly distribute a group of containers over a wide range in the first direction D1 with a low line pressure, even though they have a simple structure.
[Modified example]
As shown in FIG. 3, it is also possible to employ an alignment guide 22-5 that forms an angle θ 2 with respect to the boundary B1. Since θ 2 is larger than θ 1 (FIG. 2), the distribution range of the
