Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a composite optical element, a method for manufacturing the same, and a method for manufacturing a molding die.
In recent years, in optical systems, optical elements having various curved surfaces such as spherical and aspherical surfaces have been increasingly used as optical equipment becomes more diverse and optical characteristics become more sophisticated. For example, aspherical optical elements have a high degree of freedom in design and have the advantage that high optical characteristics can be obtained with a small number of combinations.
There are various methods for manufacturing optical elements having various curved surfaces such as spherical or aspherical surfaces, such as grinding/polishing methods, injection molding methods, and glass molding methods. A composite method has been proposed in which an element having a surface shape is molded and then a member is added using a transfer mold having various curved surface shapes such as spherical or aspherical surfaces. Usually, the member is made of resin such as a thermosetting resin or an energy-curing resin that has good transferability. The composite method has advantages such as a simple manufacturing process and the fact that the resulting optical element is mostly made of glass, so it is less affected by heat and humidity, so it is suitable for high precision and high performance products such as camera lenses. It is used in optical systems that require stable performance.
For example, as shown in FIG. 13, the interchangeable lens of an interchangeable lens camera used for taking photographs includes a thin resin layer 200 having an aspherical surface 201 on one
On the air side surface 201 of the resin layer 200, a reflection reduction coat (not shown) for reducing light reflection is usually applied by vapor deposition. However, with the conventional multilayer anti-reflection coating applied by vapor deposition or sputtering, there was a problem in that the reflection suddenly increased as the incident angle of light increased, as shown in Figure 14. .
In addition, the reflection-reducing coating applied to the surface 201 of the resin layer 200 by vapor deposition or sputtering is limited to low-temperature target evaporation materials because the resin itself lacks heat resistance. Due to the limited number of materials available, it has been difficult to obtain a sufficient reflection reduction effect. As a result, phenomena such as ghost and flare that are harmful to photography are caused.
Recently, nano-level surface structures such as moth eyes have been attracting attention, and structures optimized to reduce surface reflection are called anti-reflection structures. The anti-reflection structure with a wavelength of 0.1 nm can achieve a reflectance of 0.1% or less at 0° (vertical) incidence, and has excellent reflection characteristics against obliquely incident light even when the incident angle is large. Further, if the height of the anti-reflection structure is further increased, the influence of the incident angle becomes even smaller, and even with incident light of 30 degrees, it is sufficiently possible to suppress it to 0.1% or less in the entire visible light range.
There have been photographic lenses that have undergone such structural reflection reduction treatment, but the production process is complicated, batch processing is difficult, and it takes a very long time to form a film. As a result, it was not used for anything other than high-end interchangeable lenses due to the high cost. Therefore, there has been a desire for a technology that can add such an antireflection structure to the lens surface at a lower cost.
JP-A-2005-62526 (Patent Document 1) has a base member and a resin layer provided on the base member using an ultraviolet curing resin, and the resin layer has a period smaller than the wavelength of incident light. The present invention discloses a composite aspherical lens having a fine periodic structure with a resin layer having an aspherical surface provided with the fine periodic structure. This composite aspherical lens has a single resin layer, and a triangular prism-shaped fine periodic structure (moth-eye structure) with an anti-reflection effect is provided on the air side surface of the resin layer. Considering the process, this is the cheapest configuration. For information on the mechanism for suppressing reflection in anti-reflection structures, see references (Takeharu Okuno, "Development of high-performance anti-reflection films using sub-wavelength structures and their application to camera lenses", Optics, Vol. 40, No. 1, 2011). I want to refer to.
In order to achieve aspherical shape accuracy, it is desirable for the UV-curable resin used in composite aspherical lenses to shrink as little as possible during curing, and a resin with a very low shrinkage rate is usually used. . However, energy curable resins such as ultraviolet curable resins generally have very high viscosity as they have a smaller shrinkage rate. In order to transfer-mold a nano-level structure such as a fine periodic structure, it is desirable that the liquid (monomer) before curing can easily enter the extremely narrow gap of a few nanometers in the mold, so it must have a very low viscosity. Character is required. However, as mentioned above, such resins have a very high shrinkage rate, and when trying to obtain the desired resin thickness with a resin with a high shrinkage rate, sink marks inevitably occur during molding, and of course, it is difficult to form molding with a shape accuracy of 0.1 μm level. I could only mold things that didn't have a proper surface.
Japanese Patent Publication No. 7-64033 (Patent Document 2) discloses a bonded optical member in which a first and a second polymer layer of a transparent organic polymer are laminated in order on a glass substrate. is made of an energy irradiation-curable resin material with high weather resistance and high hardness, and has a surface with a first surface shape different from that of the glass substrate on the opposite side of the first polymer layer. The first polymer layer is a thin layer, and the first polymer layer is made of an energy irradiation-curable resin material with low cure shrinkage strain, and the second polymer layer side has a second surface shape that is approximately the same as the first surface shape. A bonded optical member is disclosed that has a relatively thick layer.
However,
Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a composite optical element having excellent shape accuracy and having a nano-level antireflection structure formed with high precision.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a method for manufacturing such a composite optical element.
Yet another object of the present invention is to provide a method for manufacturing a molding die suitable for manufacturing such a composite optical element.
As a result of intensive research in view of the above issues, the present inventors found that high viscosity photocurable resins have a low shrinkage rate and therefore have high shape accuracy, but the transferability of nano-level antireflection structures is insufficient. Although low viscosity photocurable resin has a high shrinkage rate and is inferior in shape accuracy, it has excellent transferability of anti-reflection structures, and high viscosity photocurable resin is used on the surface of the glass substrate to achieve high shape accuracy. By forming a second resin layer and forming a first resin layer with a highly accurate anti-reflection structure using a low-viscosity photocurable resin on the surface of the second resin layer, excellent shape accuracy is achieved. The present inventors have discovered that it is possible to obtain a composite optical element that has a nano-level antireflection structure formed with high precision, and has conceived the present invention.

The
The
By controlling the shape and pitch of the first group of

The composite optical element according to this embodiment is different from the composite optical element according to the first embodiment in that a second antireflection structure is formed on the interface between the second resin layer and the first resin layer. different. FIG. 5 shows a composite optical element according to an example of the second embodiment. In the composite
The second group of

Furthermore, by providing the

In this embodiment, a fine uneven structure is formed on the surface of the base material by ECR processing using an ECR type ion beam processing device, but the present invention is not limited to this, and the present invention is not limited to this. By this, a fine uneven structure can be formed on the surface of the base material.
