Description

The present invention relates to a wetness notification system for absorbent articles such as diapers and incontinence pads, an absorbent article with electrodes, a wetness notification device for absorbent articles, and a wetness notification method for absorbent articles.

Diapers are widely used not only in infants but also in elderly care facilities and the like. It is ideal for users to change diapers that are wet from excretion as soon as possible. Nursing care facilities digitize the excretion cycle of each person requiring nursing care, and based on this data, predict the timing of replacement and carry out replacement work, but the success rate is about 60% to 70%, which is unpredictable. Even in the case of urination, it is necessary to confirm excretion, which increases the burden on caregivers. Therefore, various devices have been conventionally proposed for detecting or notifying the wetting of absorbent articles such as diapers and incontinence pads.

For example, Patent Document 1 discloses a diaper wetting detection sensor in which a pair of electrodes are attached and formed side by side with a slight separation to form a capacitance between the two electrodes, and the capacitance changes when the diaper gets wet. An oscillator that applies an AC signal to the electrodes of the wetness detection sensor, a detector that detects changes in capacitance between the pair of electrodes, and at least one of a vibrator and a buzzer that is activated by an output signal of the detector. A wet diaper alert device is disclosed.

Further, in Patent Document 2, a base material having a first base material surface and a second base material surface facing each other, a first electrode surface and a second electrode surface facing each other, and the first electrode surface It has a first electrode piece installed on the surface of the first substrate of a substrate, the second electrode surface is directed toward the outside of the diaper, and the first electrode piece is attached to the outside of the diaper, and the first electrode piece is attached to the diaper. a measuring unit having a sensing element electrically coupled to the inside of the diaper to form a coupling capacitance and the grounding element electrically coupled to the sensing element for measuring the coupling capacitance; and the measuring unit. and a processing unit for determining whether to generate a diaper wetness signal according to the change in the coupling capacitance value.

However, these diaper wetness alerting devices detect a slight change in capacitance, so it is difficult to detect the wetting of absorbent articles such as diapers with thick absorbent layers and urine absorbing pads set therein in recent years. However, it was very difficult and unstable to detect from the outside while wearing clothes.

FIG. 6 is a circuit functional block diagram in wetness notification devices 10A and 10B of the present invention. The R/C measuring means 7 shown in FIG. 6 is a measuring instrument capable of measuring both resistance and capacitance. This R/C measuring means 7 can measure changes in electrical characteristics.

The wetness notification devices 10A and 10B of the present invention measure the capacitance of the capacitor structure constructed between the first electrode 1 connected to the R/C measuring means 7 and the second electrode 5 with a minimum resolution of 0.1 pf. The maximum measurement range can be measured up to about 2000 pf, and this signal is taken into the analysis means 8 to analyze the change in the capacitance, and the display section 3 displays the result in a plurality of stages.

The R/C measuring means 7 oscillates based on the capacitance or resistance value between the first electrode 1 and the second electrode 5 of the wetness alarm devices 10A and 10B, and outputs the oscillation signal to the R/C measuring means. 7 output.

The method of measuring the capacitance or resistance value is not limited to this oscillation method, but may be the voltage output of an AC voltage by comparing the AC impedance, or the charging time or discharging time of a capacitor by a constant current power supply. Alternatively, the voltage across the resistor may be used as the output of the CR measuring means. As for the measuring method of the CR measuring means, such a wide variety of combinations are possible, and any method may be used.

The analysis means 8 counts the oscillation signal, which is the output of the R/C measurement means 7, at a constant gate time and converts it into a numerical value. After actual measurement, each signal exceeding the threshold value is sent to the display section 3 which displays it step by step as a stepwise wetness level notification signal.

The analysis means 8 is not a digital processing device as described above, but frequency-voltage converts the output of the R/C measurement means 7, and sets a plurality of thresholds for reporting a plurality of wetness levels between the minimum and maximum values of the voltage. An analog voltage comparator may be provided for this purpose, and each signal exceeding this threshold value may be sent to the display unit 3 for stepwise display as a stepwise wetting level notification signal.

In the absorbent article wetness notification method of the present invention, the device user 9 wears the absorbent article with the electrode (the diaper 19 with the lead electrode or the urine absorbing pad 20 with the lead electrode) while touching the second electrode 5. While touching any part of the human body 6 of the wearer of the absorbent article, the wetness notification is sent to the absorbent article side detection electrode (in the illustrated example, the electrode portion 23 of the lead electrode) of the absorbent article with the electrode. By bringing the first electrodes 1 of the devices 10A and 10B into contact with each other, the wetness level of the absorbent article is reported.

With the electrode dimensions shown in FIG. 20, the urine absorbing pad type with lead electrodes shown in FIGS. 12 and 13 and the urine absorbing pad type with lead electrodes shown in FIGS. 14 and 15 were prepared. In the urine absorbing pad with lead electrodes shown in FIGS. 12 and 13, the electrodes 25 on the side of the urine absorbing pad are arranged inside the waterproof sheet 14, whereas the lead electrodes shown in FIGS. The urine absorbing pad is different in that electrodes 25 on the side of the urine absorbing pad are arranged outside the waterproof sheet 14 .

<実施例1>
<Example 1>
As shown in FIG. 21, a resistance meter 26 is connected with a lead wire 29 to each of the urine absorbing pads with lead electrodes shown in FIGS. 12 and 13 and the urine absorbing pads with lead electrodes shown in FIGS. Electrical resistance was measured. The measurement was performed with a type in which the electrodes 25 on the side of the urine absorption pad are arranged inside the waterproof sheet 14 (FIGS. 12 and 13). Reference numeral 28 denotes a human body dummy, and aluminum foil was used as the human body dummy 28 . The human body dummy 28 and the resistance meter 26 were connected by a human body dummy connecting lead wire 30 . Moisture was gradually injected into the water absorbing agent and the water absorbing agent-holding fiber 15 (moisture absorber) from a dry state, and changes in electrical resistance were measured. In Example 1, any part of the wearer of the absorbent article was not touched, but instead, the dummy connection lead wire 30 of the human body was directly connected to the ohmmeter 26 for measurement. By touching any part of the absorbent article wearer, there is an advantage that the dummy connection lead wire 30 for the human body can be eliminated. When measuring by touching the human body, the contact resistance between the device user and the wetness alarm device and the contact resistance between the body to be measured (the side of the absorbent article wearer) and the device user are added to the measurement result. However, the total amount of increase is about 10 KΩ at most, which is within a negligible range from the measurement results of this embodiment.
The measurement results of electrical resistance are shown below.

From the measurement results of Example 1, as water was injected into the water absorbing agent and the water absorbing agent-holding fiber 15 (moisture absorber), a significant change in electrical resistance, which is an electrical property, was observed. The present invention is a system and apparatus for detecting and notifying the change in electrical resistance.

<実施例2>
<Example 2>
Except for changing the resistance meter 26 of Example 1 to a capacitance meter 27 and changing to a type in which the urine absorbing pad side electrode 25 is arranged outside the waterproof sheet 14 (FIGS. 14 and 15), Measurements were carried out analogously to Example 1. The human body dummy 28 and the capacitance meter 27 were connected by a human body dummy connection lead wire 30 . As in Example 1, the water absorbing agent and the water absorbing agent-holding fiber 15 (moisture absorber) were in a dry state, and water was gradually injected to measure changes in capacitance. In Example 2, any part of the wearer of the absorbent article was not touched, but instead, the dummy connection lead wire 30 of the human body was directly connected to the capacitance meter 27 for measurement. By touching any part of the absorbent article wearer, there is an advantage that the dummy connection lead wire 30 for the human body can be eliminated. When measuring by touching the human body, the capacitances of the user of the device and the wearer of the absorbent article are added. The amount of decrease in the measurement results of the example is within a negligible range in view of the measurement results of the present example.
The capacitance measurement results are shown below.
