Abstract
Description
TECHNICAL FIELD The present invention relates to a driving assistance device for a vehicle that provides driving assistance capable of issuing an alarm to alert a driver when the vehicle is traveling on a road having a preset driving risk.
In recent years, in vehicles such as automobiles, driving assistance devices for assisting the driver's driving operation have been put to practical use with the aim of reducing the burden of the driver's driving operation and improving safety. . This type of driving assistance system has a driving assistance mode in which steering assistance control and acceleration/deceleration control are performed on the premise that the driver will perform a proactive driving operation, and a driving assistance mode that allows the vehicle to run without requiring the driver's driving operation. Various techniques for modes (so-called automatic operation modes) have been developed (see, for example, Patent Literature 1).
The driving support control in each driving support mode is basically realized by providing an adaptive cruise control (ACC) function and an active lane keeping centering (ALKC) control function. be. With such driving support control, the vehicle can be automatically driven along the driving lane while maintaining the distance from the preceding vehicle.
In addition, when the driving support device recognizes an obstacle such as a vehicle or a pedestrian in front of the vehicle, it performs emergency braking (AEB: Autonomous Emergency Braking) control against the obstacle, A technique of decelerating the vehicle until the relative velocity between the vehicle and the obstacle becomes zero has been put into practical use. Furthermore, in driving support systems, when it is determined that a collision with an obstacle cannot be avoided by emergency brake control, a technique of performing emergency steering control to avoid collision with the obstacle has been put into practical use.
In order to ensure safety based on the driver's intentions, such a driving support device is capable of switching the driving mode from a predetermined driving control mode to a manual driving mode by means of an override by the driver's operation intervention. . That is, in the driving support device, even when a predetermined driving support mode is being executed, if the driver performs a predetermined driving operation in an emergency such as when a pedestrian suddenly runs out, the driving mode is changed to manual driving. By switching to the mode, it is possible to give priority to the driving operation of the driver. With such an override, the driving support device can avoid a collision with an obstacle in an emergency by operating intervention led by the driver without waiting for execution of emergency brake control or emergency steering control.
However, if the driver's dependence on driving support control is high, it may be difficult for the driver to intervene in an emergency. On the other hand, even during the driving support control, for example, if the own vehicle travels on a road having a preset travel risk (for example, a traffic jam, a narrow road, or a road with an intersection ahead), If so, it is possible to issue an alarm to alert the driver. However, if such a warning is issued uniformly, it is troublesome for the driver who always pays attention to the surrounding driving environment even during driving support control.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION It is an object of the present invention to provide a driving support system for a vehicle capable of issuing a warning to the driver at an appropriate timing without making the driver feel annoyed. and

The map information acquisition unit 13a acquires route map information from the current location to the destination from the map information stored in the high-precision
The map information acquisition unit 13a also transmits the acquired route map information (lane data on the route map) to the second driving environment recognition unit 13b. The second driving environment recognition unit 13b performs map matching on the route map information for the position coordinates of the
Further, the second driving environment recognition unit 13b detects with the
Further, the second driving environment recognition unit 13b recognizes the road map information of the set range centered on the estimated vehicle position as the second driving environment information. The second driving environment information includes, for example, left and right lane markings that divide the vehicle's driving path (driving lane), road curvature at the center of the driving lane, and various types of road type.

Further, on the input side of the
The
The
Here, the manual driving mode is a driving mode that requires the steering to be held by the driver. For example, it is a driving mode in which the
Similarly, the first driving support mode is also a driving mode that requires the steering to be held by the driver. That is, while reflecting the driving operation by the driver, the first driving assistance mode mainly includes adaptive cruise control (ACC), active lane keep centering (ALKC) control, and lane departure ( Active Lane Keep Bouncing) control is appropriately combined. That is, the first driving support mode is a so-called semi-automatic driving mode in which the
In addition, the second cruise control mode does not require the driver to hold the steering wheel, operate the accelerator, or operate the brake, and mainly performs an appropriate combination of preceding vehicle follow-up control, lane center keeping control, and lane departure suppression control. Driving mode. That is, the second driving support mode is an automatic driving mode in which the
The evacuation mode is, for example, when traveling in the second traveling control mode cannot be continued and the driving operation cannot be handed over to the driver (that is, the manual driving mode or the second traveling control mode). 1), the
Furthermore, in each driving mode described above, the
また、走行_ECU26は、障害物に対する衝突予測時間TTC(:Time To Collision)を算出する。
That is, when the
Here, the threshold value for the collision prediction time TTC is set by referring to a preset map or the like based on, for example, the own vehicle speed and the overlap ratio between the
The primary brake control is warning brake control for prompting the driver to avoid a collision with an obstacle, and is gentle brake control for decelerating the
Further, when the
In this emergency steering control, the
Note that while emergency avoidance control such as emergency brake control and emergency steering control is being performed, the
By the way, the
Further, when the driver performs a driving operation exceeding a predetermined level during execution of the first driving assistance mode, the second driving assistance mode, or the evacuation mode, the
The
Here, roads with a high driving risk include, for example, narrow roads, roads with crosswalks in front, or roads with congested traffic on the opposite lane side, such as pedestrians and other vehicles. Various roads with a high possibility of jumping out are assumed.
In order to realize such a warning function, the
Further, in the
Here, each driving environment pattern image is, for example, an image representing a typical driving environment in which a predetermined driving risk is assumed. The optimum seat pressure distribution is set in advance based on experiments, simulations, etc. 1 shows the seat surface pressure distribution when a skilled driver such as a test driver drives the
In addition, in the
The estimation model A estimates the seating posture of the driver by selecting one of a plurality of seating posture patterns (see FIG. 7), for example, based on the seat surface pressure distribution. That is, the estimation of the seating posture of the driver by the estimation model A is realized by associating (classifying) the seating surface pressure distribution with one of the preset seating posture patterns.
For example, as shown in FIG. 8, this estimation model A is configured by a neural network including an

For example, as shown in FIG. 10, this estimation model B is configured by a neural network including an

As described above, in the present embodiment, the

When the routine starts, the

In subsequent step S102, the
Then, when it is determined in step S102 that the optimum seat surface pressure distribution has not been estimated (that is, when the captured image is classified as "not applicable"), the

In subsequent step S106, the
Specifically, in the
Here, the match probability calculation map is set in advance based on experiments, simulations, or the like, taking into overall consideration the similarity of each seating posture pattern, for example. For example, since the 13th sitting posture and the 15th sitting posture shown in FIG. 7 are similar to each other, it is easy to shift from the 13th sitting posture to the 15th sitting posture. Therefore, for example, when the seating posture of the good driver is the 13th sitting posture shown in FIG. 7 and the seating posture of the target driver is the 15th sitting posture shown in FIG. % match probability) is calculated. Conversely, for example, since the 13th sitting posture and the 20th sitting posture shown in FIG. 7 are not similar, it is not easy to shift from the 13th sitting posture to the 20th sitting posture. Therefore, for example, when the sitting posture of the good driver is the 13th sitting posture shown in FIG. 7 and the seating posture of the target driver is the 20th sitting posture shown in FIG. % match probability) is calculated.
In addition, the map for calculating the degree of excellence is based on the premise that the degree of excellence increases as the seating posture of the target driver is similar to the seating posture of the excellent driver (that is, the higher the probability of matching). It is set in advance based on experiments, simulations, etc., taking into account the relationship with environmental patterns and the like comprehensively.
That is, for example, depending on whether the driving environment in which the
More specifically, the driving
The levels of the risk sensing ability and emergency response speed required of the target driver in each driving environment are set based on experiments, simulations, etc., based on a predetermined driving environment, for example. It is. In addition, as for the superiority level for each driving environment, the highest superiority level "10" is set when the matching probability is "100%", and experiments and simulations are performed so that the superiority level decreases appropriately as the matching probability decreases. It is set based on
By referring to these maps, the
In the subsequent step S107, the
That is, the
In subsequent step S108, the
Then, when it is determined that the warning to the target driver is not necessary, the
On the other hand, if it is determined that a warning to the target driver is necessary, the
Then, in step S109, when it is determined that it is not the warning timing now, the
On the other hand, if it is determined in step S109 that it is now the warning timing, the
In other words, the
According to this embodiment, the
That is, since the estimation of the driver's seating posture is performed using the estimation model A preset by machine learning based on the driver's seat surface pressure distribution, it is necessary to add a camera or the like that captures the driver's feet. Therefore, it is possible to accurately estimate the comprehensive seating posture including not only the upper body of the driver but also the lower body.
Therefore, for example, as shown in FIG. 4, even if the driver is in an inappropriate sitting posture in which the foot is moved far away from the brake pedal, the seating posture may be adjusted to an appropriate seating posture (for example, FIG. 3). (See reference). Such alerting can restore the driver's responsiveness to brake operation in an emergency, and even during driving support control, the driver's own intentional emergency avoidance operation (for example, , emergency brake operation, etc.) can be realized quickly.
In addition, such a warning is performed based on the degree of excellence calculated based on the comparison between the optimal seating posture of the excellent driver and the seating posture of the target driver. By judging the timing, the warning can be issued at an appropriate timing without bothering the driver.
Here, in the above-described embodiment, the first driving
Next, a modified example of this embodiment will be described. In this modified example, the degree of excellence of the target driver in each driving environment is determined by statistically determining the seating posture of the target driver. That is, this modification focuses on the fact that the seating posture of a driver in a similar driving environment is not always the same, and performs warning control by statistically judging the driving environment that the target driver is not good at.
For this reason, the
That is, when the
Then, the
Further, the
Here, for example, as shown in FIG. 16, different thresholds are set for each driving environment in the map for setting the quality determination thresholds. In the map shown in FIG. 16, first and second thresholds are set as thresholds for classifying the degree of excellence of the target driver with respect to the current driving environment into, for example, three stages. The first threshold is a threshold for distinguishing between "low" quality and "middle" quality. The second threshold is a threshold for distinguishing between "middle" quality and "high" quality. These thresholds are set to different values for each driving environment based on experiments, simulations, and the like. Note that these thresholds can be set in multiple stages (for example, 10 stages shown in the above-described embodiment).
For example, the driving
Therefore, for example, when the
Then, in this modified example in which the quality is set as described above, in step S108, for example, when the quality is "high", it is determined that a warning is unnecessary, and when the quality is "medium" or "low", A warning is determined to be necessary in some cases.
Further, in step S109, when the quality is "medium", the warning timing is later than when the quality is "low".
According to this modified example, in addition to the same effect as the above-described embodiment, since the warning is given after evaluating the seating posture of the target driver over a predetermined period, there is an effect that a more appropriate warning can be realized. .
The invention described in the above embodiments and modifications is not limited to the form thereof, and various modifications can be made at the stage of implementation without departing from the gist of the invention.
For example, the
In addition, the above-described warning about the seating posture is basically effective for drivers who overestimate the driving support control. It is also possible to warn as part of driving assistance.
