Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a job processing device, a control method and a program of the job processing device.
In an information processing device that can store information using an external storage device such as a hard disk drive (hereinafter referred to as HDD), the received information (hereinafter referred to as data) is stored in the external storage device and then used for processing. Information processing devices that erase data when completed are known. In such an information processing device, data and data position information (hereinafter referred to as FAT) on the HDD are stored on the HDD. When erasing normal data, it is common to erase only the FAT, and the data itself remaining on the HDD is not erased. However, in such a state, the remaining data may be referred to by pulling out the HDD from the information processing device, connecting it to a computer (hereinafter referred to as a PC) or the like, and analyzing the inside. Therefore, a function of overwriting not only FAT but also a random number, a fixed value, or the like in the remaining data area and guaranteeing that no data remains has become widely known. For example,
Further, in recent years, the use of a semiconductor storage device using a flash memory such as a solid state drive (hereinafter referred to as SSD) as an external storage device has been increasing. Some semiconductor storage devices perform distributed writing called wear leveling in order to extend the life of the flash memory in the storage device. The semiconductor storage device that performs wear leveling replaces the blocks so as to use the blocks with a small number of writes as much as possible. Therefore, even if the overwriting process for the remaining data area as described above is performed, it is possible that the designated area is not overwritten and the data remains in the block before the replacement depending on the block replacement control method of wear leveling. As a means for preventing data leakage to such an external storage device, a method of encrypting the stored data is effective.
In the technique described in
The job processing device of the present invention is a job processing device that executes a job, and when the non-volatile storage device connected to the job processing device is a magnetic storage device, the operation setting related to the overwrite / erase function is set by the user. When the non-volatile storage device connected to the job processing device is a semiconductor storage device, it is controlled so as to allow the change, and the operation setting is changed from the setting in which the overwrite erasure is not performed to another overwrite erasure. It has a control means to control the setting so that it is not changed, and the overwrite / erase function overwrites the data area in which the data related to the job is stored with different data according to the execution of the job, and is related to the job generated by the execution of the job. It is characterized by an erasing function that makes it difficult for data to be restored from a non-volatile storage device.
According to one aspect of the present invention, an appropriate erasing method suitable for the external storage device can be selected and the external storage device can be safely managed.
According to still another aspect of the present invention, it is possible to prevent the user from erroneously setting the data erasure in the case of an external storage device in which the overwrite erasure function is not enabled.

No.
(Storage device configuration management table)
FIG. 3 is a diagram showing a partition configuration management table of the
In FIG. 3, the partition configuration management table 300 is No. , CLEARFlag, CLEARLogic, PartitionLabel, PartitionSize, and Usage. The
PartitionLabel is a character string for identifying a partition by name. PartitionSize indicates the size of the corresponding partition in MB. Usage is auxiliary information and indicates what kind of data is stored in the partition.

As described above, the CLEARLogic of the partition configuration management table 300 can be specified by the
When "OFF" is set on the UI screen 420, "0" is set in the CLEARLogic of the partition configuration management table 300. When "ON" is set on the UI screen 420 and "0 data write once" is set on the 430, "1" is set, and when "random data write once" is set, "2" is set. When "write random data three times" is set, "3" is set.
