前記針の外面と前記隔壁の前記スリットとの間に配置される複数のギャップ内に配置される潤滑剤と、を含む、カテーテルアセンブリを操作する方法。 - 前記針を前記患者の脈管構造に挿入することに応じて、血液の逆流が前記針の前記外面と前記カテーテルの内面との間で起こり、前記複数のギャップ内に配置される潤滑剤は、前記針が前記隔壁の前記スリット内に配置されるとき、前記隔壁を貫通することから血液の逆流を防止する、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記カテーテルアセンブリは、受動的な針安全機構をさらに含み、前記針の遠位先端が、前記カテーテルの遠位端と前記隔壁との間に配置されるように、前記受動針安全機構を通して前記針を部分的に引き抜くことをさらに含み、前記針が部分的に引き抜かれるとき前記針は前記隔壁を通って延在し、前記複数のギャップ内に配置される前記潤滑剤は前記針の前記遠位先端の前記外面に配置される血液が前記隔壁に浸透するのを防止する、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記潤滑剤は、1,000センチポアズより大きい粘度を有する高粘度潤滑剤である、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記潤滑剤が水不溶性潤滑剤を含む、請求項12に記載の方法。
- カテーテルアセンブリであって;
遠位端と、近位端と、前記遠位端と前記近位端の間に延びる管腔と、を有するカテーテルハブと、
前記カテーテルハブの前記遠位端から遠位に延びるカテーテルと、
前記カテーテルアダプタの前記管腔内に配置される前記隔壁であって、スリットを有する前記隔壁と、
前記針が挿入位置にあるとき、前記針の遠位先端は前記カテーテルの遠位端の遠位に配置され、前記カテーテルと前記隔壁を通って延在する針と、
前記潤滑剤は、1,000センチポアズより大きい粘度を有する高粘度潤滑剤であり、前記針の外面と前記隔壁の前記スリットとの間に配置される複数のギャップ内に配置される潤滑剤と、を含む、カテーテルアセンブリ。 - 前記カテーテルアダプタに結合された受動的針安全機構をさらに含み、前記受動的針安全機構は、前記針の遠位先端が、前記カテーテルの遠位端の近位に、前記隔壁の遠位に配置されるように、前記カテーテルアダプタに対して近位方向に前記針の部分的な引き抜きを可能にし、前記潤滑剤は、前記針が部分的に引き抜かれるとき、前記隔壁の前記スリットを通って血液漏出を防止する、請求項17に記載のカテーテルアセンブリ。
- カテーテルアセンブリであって:
遠位端と、近位端と、前記遠位端と前記近位端の間に延びる管腔と、を有するカテーテルアダプタと、
前記カテーテルアダプタの前記遠位端から遠位に延在するカテーテルと、
前記カテーテルアダプタの前記管腔内に配置される隔壁であって、スリットを有する前記隔壁と、
前記カテーテルおよび前記隔壁を通って延在する針と、を含み、前記針の遠位先端は、前記カテーテルの遠位端に遠位に配置され、前記針の外面は、前記隔壁の遠位に潤滑剤を含み、前記潤滑剤は1,000センチポアズより大きい粘土を有する高粘度であり、前記潤滑剤は、前記針の前記外面と前記隔壁の前記スリットとの間に配置される複数のギャップには存在しない、カテーテルアセンブリ。 - 前記カテーテルアダプタに結合された受動的針安全機構をさらに含み、前記受動的針安全機構は、前記針の前記遠位先端が、前記カテーテルの前記遠位端の近位に、前記隔壁の遠位に配置されるように、前記カテーテルアダプタに対して近位方向に前記針の部分的な引き抜きを可能にし、前記潤滑剤は、前記針が部分的に引き抜かれるのに応じて、前記前記複数のギャップに適用される、請求項19に記載のカテーテルアセンブリ。
