Abstract
Description
The present disclosure relates to a centrifugal compressor provided with a circulation flow path.
Centrifugal compressors are widely used as compressors for turbochargers used in vehicle engines. A turbocharger for a vehicle engine is required to operate from a low flow rate range, but in a centrifugal compressor, when the air flow rate decreases, compressed air flows back from the gap between the impeller and the housing. A phenomenon occurs, and this backflow air disturbs the mainstream that is sucked into the impeller through the inlet passage, which is one of the causes of the surge. It is known that a circulation passage is formed in the housing to return a part of the air sucked into the impeller to the inlet passage on the upstream side of the impeller in order to suppress the occurrence of surge and expand the operating area of the centrifugal compressor. (See, for example, Patent Documents 1 to 3).
Since the circulation flow path is formed in the housing, the amount of air sucked into the impeller increases more than the amount of air sucked into the inlet passage, so that the limit region of surge generation moves to the low flow rate side, and the low flow rate of the centrifugal compressor. The working area on the side is expanded.
However, in the conventional centrifugal compressor, the suction flow path portion forming the upstream end of the circulation flow path is formed in a slit shape so as to open in the portion facing the impeller. Therefore, the pressure loss in the circulation flow path is large, and the circulation flow rate cannot be increased efficiently.
Here, in order to increase the circulation flow rate, it is conceivable to expand the flow path area of the suction flow path portion or to increase the flow path area of the ejection flow path portion forming the downstream end of the circulation flow path. However, when the flow path area of the suction flow path portion is expanded, the opening of the portion facing the impeller becomes large, which causes a decrease in the compression efficiency of the air sucked into the impeller through the inlet passage. Further, when the flow path area of the ejection flow path portion is expanded, the pressure loss of the circulation flow rate increases due to the expansion of the flow path area of the circulation flow rate in the ejection flow path portion, so that the circulation flow rate is efficiently increased. Can't.
In view of such a background, it is an object of the present invention to provide a centrifugal compressor capable of efficiently increasing the circulating flow rate while suppressing a decrease in compression efficiency and expanding the operating region on the low flow rate side of the centrifugal compressor. And.
In order to solve such a problem, an embodiment of the present invention includes an inlet flow path (23) extending along the axial direction (X), an impeller accommodating portion (24) communicating with the inlet flow path, and the impeller. A diffuser (25) provided on the outer peripheral portion of the accommodating portion, a housing (21) having an outlet flow path (26) extending in a spiral shape around the axis on the downstream side of the diffuser, and the inside of the impeller accommodating portion. A centrifugal compressor (2) including an impeller (22) rotatably supported via a rotation shaft (4) extending along the axial direction, and a suction port (31) communicating with the impeller accommodating portion. A suction flow path portion (33) extending radially outward from the suction flow path portion, a connecting flow path portion (34) extending from the downstream end of the suction flow path portion toward the upstream side of the inlet flow path in the axial direction, and the above. The housing includes a circulation flow path (30) having an ejection flow path portion (35) extending inward in the radial direction from the downstream end of the connecting flow path portion and reaching an ejection port (32) communicating with the inlet flow path. The upstream end of the circulation flow path is widened toward the suction port.
According to this configuration, the inlet loss of the circulation flow path is reduced and the pressure loss of the circulation flow path is reduced, so that the flow rate of the fluid flowing through the circulation flow path (hereinafter referred to as the circulation flow rate) is increased. On the other hand, since the entire flow path area of the circulation flow path is not large, even if the opening of the portion facing the impeller is large, the decrease in the compression efficiency of the fluid sucked into the impeller through the inlet passage is suppressed. .. Therefore, it is possible to efficiently increase the circulation flow rate while suppressing a decrease in compression efficiency and expand the operating region on the low flow rate side of the centrifugal compressor.
Preferably, the suction flow path portion (33) has a flow path area that gradually increases toward the downstream side, and the minimum flow path area portion (42) of the suction flow path portion is the suction port (31). It has a flow path area that is 10% to 40% smaller than the flow path area.
According to this configuration, it is possible to increase the circulation flow rate more effectively while suppressing the decrease in compression efficiency.
Preferably, the suction flow path portion (33) and the connection flow path portion (34) are smoothly connected via the curved first curved section (36), and the connecting flow path portion and the ejection flow path are connected. The portion (35) is smoothly connected via a curved second curved portion (37).
According to this configuration, the pressure loss in the circulation flow path can be effectively reduced and the circulation flow rate can be increased.
Preferably, the suction flow path portion (33) is inclined in a direction away from the ejection flow path portion (35) from the suction port (31) to the first curved portion (36).
According to this configuration, the direction of inclination of the suction flow path portion matches the direction of the flow of the fluid sucked into the impeller through the inlet passage (hereinafter referred to as the main flow), so that the inlet loss of the circulation flow path is reduced. Therefore, the pressure loss in the circulation flow path can be effectively reduced, and the decrease in the compression efficiency of the fluid sucked into the impeller can be suppressed.
Preferably, the ejection flow path portion (35) is inclined in a direction close to the suction flow path portion (33) from the second curved portion (37) to the ejection port (32).
According to this configuration, the circulation flow rate can be increased without disturbing the mainstream toward the impeller. Therefore, the operating region on the low flow rate side of the centrifugal compressor can be effectively expanded.
Preferably, the connecting flow path portion (34) has a tubular shape, and a plurality of rectifying vanes (38) are provided downstream of the connecting flow path portion at intervals in the circumferential direction.
According to this configuration, the swirling flow of the fluid flowing through the circulation flow path can be suppressed, and the turbulence of the main flow toward the impeller can be suppressed. Further, since the rectifying vane is provided in the downstream portion of the connecting flow path portion where the swirling flow becomes weak, it is possible to suppress an increase in pressure loss in the circulation flow path due to rectification.
Preferably, the flow path area of the circulation flow path (30) is continuously increased from the minimum flow path area portion (42) of the suction flow path portion (33) to the rectifying vane (38). ..
According to this configuration, while suppressing an increase in the expansion loss of the circulation flow path, the flow velocity of the circulation flow flow in the downstream portion of the connecting flow path portion provided with the rectifying vane is reduced to reduce the pressure loss of the circulation flow path due to rectification. The increase can be effectively suppressed.
Preferably, the flow path area on the upstream side (C position) of the rectifying vane (38) of the connecting flow path portion (34) is A1, and the minimum flow path area portion (42) of the suction flow path portion (33). ), The flow path area ratio represented by A1 / A2 is more than 1.5 and less than 3.
According to this configuration, the flow velocity of the fluid flowing through the circulation flow path decreases from the minimum flow path area to the upstream side of the rectifying vane, and the dynamic pressure on the upstream side of the rectifying vane decreases. The pressure loss of the fluid as it passes through the vane can be reduced.
Preferably, the flow path area ratio is more than 2.
According to this configuration, the flow velocity of the fluid flowing through the circulation flow path is surely reduced from the minimum flow path area to the upstream part of the rectifying vane, and the pressure loss of the fluid when passing through the rectifying vane is surely reduced. can do.
Preferably, assuming that the circulation flow path (30) has a circular cross section having the same flow path area, the minimum of the suction flow path portion (33) of the virtual circulation flow path (30'). The spread angle (2θ) of the section from the position corresponding to the flow path area portion (42) to the position corresponding to the upstream side (C position) of the rectifying vane (38) is 30 ° or less.
According to this configuration, the pressure loss in the section of the virtual circulation flow path is reduced, so that the static pressure on the upstream side of the rectifying vane is effectively restored, and the pressure loss of the fluid when passing through the rectifying vane. Can be effectively reduced.
Preferably, the rectifying vane (38) has R-planes (39) at the upstream and downstream ends and has a flat plate shape extending along the axial direction (X).
According to this configuration, the rectifying vane, which is simple in configuration and easy to manufacture, suppresses the increase in pressure loss in the circulation flow path, and reduces the swirling flow of the fluid flowing through the circulation flow path to suppress the turbulence of the main flow. be able to.
As described above, according to the present invention, it is possible to provide a centrifugal compressor capable of efficiently increasing the circulating flow rate while suppressing a decrease in compression efficiency and expanding the operating region on the low flow rate side of the centrifugal compressor.
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings.

FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view of the
The
The
The
Since the
FIG. 3 is an enlarged view of the
The suction
The ejection
FIG. 4 is a perspective view of the
A plurality of rectifying
FIG. 5 is an enlarged view of a main part in FIG. As shown in FIG. 5, each rectifying
As shown in FIG. 3, the suction
Since the upstream end of the

In the cross section of FIG. 3, the width or height of the
In this way, the flow path area of the
Specifically, the flow path area of the
1.5 <A1 / A2 <3 ... (1)
By setting the flow velocity area ratio of both portions represented by A1 / A2 to more than 1.5 and less than 3, the circulation is performed from the minimum flow
Further, it is more preferable that the flow path area of the
2.0 <A1 / A2 ... (2)
By setting the flow path area ratio of both portions represented by A1 / A2 to more than 2, the air flow velocity is surely reduced from the minimum flow
ω=(Ptout−Ptin)/(Ptin−Psin) ・・・(3)
Here, the relationship between the flow path area and the Mach number will be described. As expressed by the following equation (3), the value of the pressure loss coefficient ω, which is determined by dividing the pressure loss by the inlet dynamic pressure, is roughly determined by the blade element (element of the rectifying vane 38), and other elements are large. Even if it changes, the value does not change significantly (the value is constant).
ω = (Ptout-Ptin) / (Ptin-Psin) ... (3)
Here, Ptout: total pressure at the outlet (downstream side), Ptin: total pressure at the inlet (upstream side), Psin: static pressure at the inlet (upstream side), Ptout-Ptin: pressure loss, dynamic pressure at the inlet (upstream side). ,. Therefore, the smaller the inlet dynamic pressure, the smaller the pressure loss. That is, the inlet pressure, that is, the dynamic pressure on the upstream side of the rectifying
tanθ=(r2−r1)/L ・・・(4)
Alternatively, the flow path area of the
tanθ = (r2-r1) / L ... (4)
The spread angle of the section of the virtual circulation flow path 30'from the position corresponding to the minimum
Since the virtual spread angle of the
FIG. 7 is an explanatory diagram of the flow of the circulating flow in the rectifying
As shown in FIG. 7A, in the rectifying
On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 7B, in the rectifying
On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 7C, in the rectifying
FIG. 8 is a graph showing the total pressure at each position in the
FIG. 9 is a graph showing the Mach number of the circulating flow at each position in the
From the above, in the embodiment and Comparative Example 2, the pressure loss of the
