Abstract
Description
Claims (21)
- 頭部装着ディスプレイ(HMD)で用いる仮想現実(VR)コンテンツを見るときの不快感を軽減する方法であって、
ユーザインタラクションと関連してVRコンテンツを生成するためにアプリケーションを実行するステップと、
ユーザにおいて不快感を生じさせる可能性があると識別される前記VRコンテンツにおけるパターンを検出するステップと、
前記ユーザにおける潜在的な不快感を軽減する目的で、不快感軽減フィルタ効果を適用するステップであって、前記不快感軽減フィルタ効果は、前記VRコンテンツの視野(FOV)の明瞭領域のサイズを縮小することを含み、前記明瞭領域は前記FOVに提示される画像に対して解像度の最高量を有し、前記明瞭領域外の第1領域は低減された解像度を有する、前記適用するステップと、
前記明瞭領域における前記縮小と同時に前記FOVのサイズを維持するステップとを含む、方法。 - 前記パターンの最後を検出するステップと、
前記不快感軽減フィルタ効果の適用を取り除くステップとをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記明瞭領域は楕円形または長方形によって囲まれる、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記FOVは楕円形または長方形によって囲まれる、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記明瞭領域外の前記第1領域の解像度を初期解像度から低減させるステップをさらに含み、前記画像は前記不快感軽減フィルタ効果の適用前の前記初期解像度で提示される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記初期解像度と一致した前記明瞭領域の解像度を維持するステップをさらに含む、請求項5に記載の方法。
- 前記明瞭領域の解像度を初期解像度から増大させるステップであって、前記画像は前記不快感軽減フィルタ効果の適用前の前記初期解像度で提示される、前記増大させるステップと、
前記明瞭領域外の前記第1領域の解像度を前記初期解像度から低減させるステップとをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 頭部装着ディスプレイ(HMD)で用いる仮想現実(VR)コンテンツを見るときの不快感を軽減するコンピュータプログラムを格納する非一時的なコンピュータ可読媒体であって、
ユーザインタラクションと関連してVRコンテンツを生成するためにアプリケーションを実行するプログラム命令と、
ユーザにおいて不快感を生じさせる可能性があると識別される前記VRコンテンツにおけるパターンを検出するプログラム命令と、
前記ユーザにおける潜在的な不快感を軽減する目的で、不快感軽減フィルタ効果を適用するプログラム命令であって、前記不快感軽減フィルタ効果は、前記VRコンテンツの視野(FOV)の明瞭領域のサイズを縮小することを含み、前記明瞭領域は前記FOVに提示される画像に対して解像度の最高量を有し、前記明瞭領域外の第1領域は低減された解像度を有する、前記適用するプログラム命令と、
前記明瞭領域における前記縮小と同時に前記FOVのサイズを維持するプログラム命令とを備える、非一時的なコンピュータ可読媒体。 - 前記パターンの最後を検出するステップと、
前記不快感軽減フィルタ効果の適用を取り除くステップとをさらに含む、請求項8に記載の非一時的なコンピュータ可読媒体。 - 前記明瞭領域は楕円形または長方形によって囲まれる、請求項8に記載の非一時的なコンピュータ可読媒体。
- 前記FOVは楕円形または長方形によって囲まれる、請求項8に記載の非一時的なコンピュータ可読媒体。
- 前記明瞭領域外の前記第1領域の解像度を初期解像度から低減させるステップをさらに含み、前記画像は前記不快感軽減フィルタ効果の適用前の前記初期解像度で提示される、請求項9に記載の非一時的なコンピュータ可読媒体。
- 前記初期解像度と一致した前記明瞭領域の解像度を維持するステップをさらに含む、請求項12に記載の非一時的なコンピュータ可読媒体。
- 前記明瞭領域の解像度を初期解像度から増大させるステップであって、前記画像は前記不快感軽減フィルタ効果の適用前の前記初期解像度で提示される、前記増大させるステップと、
前記明瞭領域外の前記第1領域の解像度を前記初期解像度から低減させるステップとをさらに含む、請求項8に記載の非一時的なコンピュータ可読媒体。 - プロセッサと、前記プロセッサに接続されたメモリとを含む、コンピュータシステムであって、
前記メモリは、前記コンピュータシステムによって実行される場合、頭部装着ディスプレイ(HMD)で用いる仮想現実(VR)コンテンツを見るときの不快感を軽減する方法を前記コンピュータシステムに実行させる命令を格納し、
前記方法は、
ユーザインタラクションと関連してVRコンテンツを生成するためにアプリケーションを実行するステップと、
ユーザにおいて不快感を生じさせる可能性があると識別される前記VRコンテンツにおけるパターンを検出するステップと、
前記ユーザにおける潜在的な不快感を軽減する目的で、不快感軽減フィルタ効果を適用するステップであって、前記不快感軽減フィルタ効果は、前記VRコンテンツの視野(FOV)の明瞭領域のサイズを縮小することを含み、前記明瞭領域は前記FOVに提示される画像に対して解像度の最高量を有し、前記明瞭領域外の第1領域は低減された解像度を有する、前記適用するステップと、
前記明瞭領域における前記縮小と同時に前記FOVのサイズを維持するステップとを含む、コンピュータシステム。 - 前記方法は、
前記パターンの最後を検出するステップと、
