Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a battery temperature control system for an industrial vehicle.
As a conventional technique related to a battery temperature control system for an industrial vehicle, for example, a battery charging method disclosed in
By the way, when the industrial vehicle is an automatic guided vehicle that handles the cargo of a container at a port or the like, the automatic guided vehicle performs a predetermined cargo handling on the orbit. In other words, the cargo handling of containers in the orbit is almost routine. In an automatic guided vehicle equipped with a battery, it is necessary to charge the battery, but it is preferable to charge the battery appropriately so as not to disturb the cargo handling routine. Normally, the battery is set with a function limit temperature that limits the function of the battery as the upper limit temperature of the battery.
However, in the case of an automated guided vehicle that handles cargo in a container, if the battery temperature is likely to exceed the upper limit temperature during charging, the charging current is suppressed and the battery temperature rise is suppressed, so the charging time becomes longer. .. In particular, during quick charging, the battery temperature tends to exceed the upper limit temperature, and the charging time tends to be long. Further, if the temperature of the battery reaches the upper limit temperature even after the charging is completed, the automatic guided vehicle remains inoperable until the temperature of the battery drops because the battery cannot be discharged immediately due to the functional limitation. As described above, there is a problem that the long charging time and the occurrence of the inoperable state of the automatic guided vehicle upset the cargo handling routine. On the other hand, in charging the battery disclosed in
The present invention has been made in view of the above problems, and an object of the present invention is a battery of an industrial vehicle capable of charging at a preset charging timing and reliably avoiding functional restrictions during charging. It is in the provision of a temperature control system.
In order to solve the above problems, the present invention comprises a battery mounted on a vehicle body, a battery controller that controls charging / discharging of the battery, a battery temperature control device that controls the temperature of the battery, and a temperature of the battery. The battery controller includes a temperature control controller that controls the battery temperature control device based on the above, and the battery controller includes a function limiting temperature that limits the function of the battery and a target temperature that is an optimum temperature for charging and discharging the battery. A lower pre-charge target temperature is set, the battery controller acquires the next charge timing while the battery is discharging, and the temperature control controller starts from the pre-charge timing a predetermined time before the charge timing. It is characterized in that the battery temperature adjusting device is controlled so that the temperature of the battery becomes the target temperature before charging toward the charging timing.
In the present invention, the battery controller acquires the next charging timing while the battery is discharging, and sets the pre-charging timing before a predetermined time of the acquired charging timing. The temperature control controller controls the battery temperature control device so that the temperature of the battery reaches the target temperature before charging from the pre-charging timing to the charging timing, which is a predetermined time before the charging timing. Therefore, at the charging timing, the battery temperature becomes a pre-charging target temperature lower than the battery target temperature by the battery temperature controller. Therefore, even if the battery is rapidly charged from the charging timing, the temperature of the battery rises from the pre-charging target temperature lower than the target temperature of the battery. Therefore, the battery does not rise to a functional limit temperature that limits the function of the battery. That is, by setting the battery temperature to the pre-charging target temperature lower than the target temperature before charging, it is possible to avoid the functional limitation when charging the battery. As a result, efficient operation of industrial vehicles can be maintained.
Further, in the battery temperature control system of the industrial vehicle, the battery controller may be configured to reflect the temperature change difference due to the internal resistance of the battery, which changes every time the battery is charged, in the target temperature before charging.
In this case, the temperature change difference due to the internal resistance of the battery, which increases with each charge, is reflected in the pre-charge target temperature. Therefore, even if the temperature change difference due to the internal resistance is added to the temperature rise of the battery during charging, the temperature of the battery does not rise to the function limiting temperature that limits the function of the battery.
Further, in the battery temperature control system of the industrial vehicle, the battery controller reflects the temperature change difference changed by the internal resistance at the time of the latest charging in the target temperature before charging as the temperature change difference at the time of the next charging. It may be configured.
In this case, the temperature change difference in the latest charging is measured, and the measured temperature change difference is predicted as the temperature change difference due to the internal resistance at the time of the next charging. Since the most recently measured temperature change difference is used, the accuracy is good as a predicted value of the temperature change difference due to the internal resistance at the time of the next charging.
Further, in the battery temperature control system of the industrial vehicle, the vehicle body is provided with a loading platform, and the temperature control controller sets the temperature of the battery before charging according to the weight of the load scheduled to be mounted on the loading platform. The control timing for controlling the battery temperature adjusting device may be changed so as to reach the target temperature.
In this case, if the weight of the load mounted on the loading platform can be grasped in advance, the temperature control controller controls the battery temperature control device so that the temperature of the battery reaches the target temperature before charging depending on the weight of the load. To change. The battery can be cooled according to the charging timing that is changed by the weight of the load.
According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a battery temperature control system for an industrial vehicle, which enables charging at a preset charging timing and can surely avoid functional restrictions during charging.
Hereinafter, the battery temperature control system for the industrial vehicle of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. In this embodiment, an automated guided vehicle for containers is illustrated as an industrial vehicle operating in a container terminal as a port facility, and a battery temperature control system for an automated guided vehicle for containers will be described.

The

The position of the
Next, the automatic guided
The
The battery
The
The
When the temperature of the
The
Next, the temperature
The
By the way, although the container automatic guided
Since the cargo handling of the container C in the traveling
As shown in FIG. 4, when the
In the present embodiment, the
The target temperature Tu before charging is a temperature lower than the target temperature Tt, and is a set temperature for ensuring that the temperature of the
The solid line graph G1 in FIG. 4 is a graph showing the temperature change of the battery when the
By the way, each time the
Therefore, the temperature change difference ΔT at the time of the latest rapid charging is predicted to be the temperature change difference ΔT at the time of the next rapid charging due to the increase in internal resistance, and the temperature change difference ΔT is reflected in the target temperature Tu before charging. Therefore, even if quick charging is performed at the charging timing ct, the temperature of the
In the present embodiment, the

Next, the battery temperature control system of the automatic guided
(1) The
(2) The temperature change difference ΔT due to the internal resistance of the
(3) The temperature change difference ΔT in the latest charging is measured, and the measured temperature change difference ΔT is predicted as the temperature change difference due to the internal resistance at the time of the next charging. Since the most recently measured temperature change difference is used, the accuracy is good as a predicted value of the temperature change difference due to the internal resistance at the time of the next charging.
(4) When the weight of the container C mounted on the
In the above embodiment, the
The present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment, and various modifications can be made within the scope of the gist of the invention. For example, the present invention may be modified as follows.
○ In the above embodiment, the controller has a temperature control unit that functions as a temperature control controller in addition to a battery control unit that functions as a battery controller, but this is not the case. For example, the battery controller and the temperature control unit may be integrally configured. In this case, the battery unit may include a battery, a battery temperature control device, and a battery controller and a temperature control unit integrally configured.
○ In the above embodiment, the temperature change difference for each recent quick charge is obtained, and the temperature change difference based on the latest quick charge is used as the temperature change difference due to the internal resistance at the time of the next scheduled quick charge. is not it. For example, if it can be determined from the result of the temperature rise during the latest quick charge that the pre-charge target temperature was too low, the battery controller raises the pre-charge target temperature before the next quick charge based on the temperature rise result. The correction may be made.
○ In the above embodiment, the battery temperature control device is an air conditioner (air conditioner), but the present invention is not limited to this. The battery temperature control device may be, for example, a liquid-cooled battery temperature control device that directly controls the temperature of the battery with a refrigerant, and if the temperature of the battery can be controlled, the type and structure thereof may be particularly high. It doesn't matter.
○ In the above embodiment, the battery temperature control system of an automatic guided vehicle for a container as an industrial vehicle has been illustrated and described, but the present invention is not limited to this. For example, it may be a battery temperature control system for a forklift as an industrial vehicle. In this case, it is preferable that the forklift operates in a substantially routine manner in the same manner as the automatic guided vehicle for containers.
