- 多重記録したホログラムにより入射光を回折する光回折部を有する導光板であって、
前記光回折部では、少なくとも2つ以上の領域を有し、ある光線を入射したときに前記各領域によって異なる波長を回折し、該異なる波長に対して回折する光出力のパワー密度が同じであることを特徴とする導光板。 - 請求項1に記載の導光板において、
前記光回折部は、前記導光板の内部を伝搬する光を前記導光板の外に出射する光に変換する出射カプラーとして用いられることを特徴とする導光板。 - 入射光を回折するホログラムを製作するためのホログラム記録装置であって、
レーザ光源と、
該レーザ光源から出射した光ビームの偏光方向を制御する第1の1/2波長板と、
該第1の1/2波長板を経た光ビームに対してS偏光を反射しA光線として出射しP偏光を透過してB光線として出射し2方向に分岐する偏光ビームスプリッタと、
前記A光線を反射する第1のウェッジプリズムミラーと、
前記B光線をS偏光に偏光する第2の1/2波長板と、
該第2の1/2波長板で偏光されたS偏光を反射する第2のウェッジプリズムミラーと、
該第1のウェッジプリズムミラーで反射された光線と前記第2のウェッジプリズムミラーで反射された光線が照射される記録媒体を有することを特徴とするホログラム記録装置。 - 請求項3に記載のホログラム記録装置において、
前記偏光ビームスプリッタと前記記録媒体と、前記第1のウェッジプリズムミラーと、前記第2のウェッジプリズムミラーの位置関係が、左右と上下対称の正方形を形成していることを特徴とするホログラム記録装置。 - 入射光を回折するホログラムを製作するホログラム記録方法であって、
レーザ光源から出射した光ビームを2つのS偏光に分岐し、
前記2つのS偏光をそれぞれ第1、第2のウェッジプリズムミラーで反射させ、
該第1のウェッジプリズムミラーで反射された第1の光線と前記第2のウェッジプリズムミラーで反射された第2の光線が記録媒体に照射され、
前記第1及び第2の光線が前記記録媒体内で干渉して干渉縞を形成し、該干渉縞によって記録媒体が感光しホログラムを形成することを特徴とするホログラム記録方法。 - 請求項5に記載のホログラム記録方法において、
前記2つのS偏光に分岐する素子と、前記記録媒体と、前記第1、第2のウェッジプリズムミラーの位置関係が、左右と上下対称の正方形を形成しており、
前記記録媒体を挟み込む記録プリズムに前記第1及び第2の光線が垂直に入射するように構成して、前記記録プリズムからの戻り光を用いて前記2つのS偏光に分岐する素子と、前記記録媒体と、前記第1、第2のウェッジプリズムミラーの位置調整を行うことを特徴とするホログラム記録方法。
