Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a balloon catheter.
There is known a medical balloon catheter that is inserted into a patient's body to perform a medical procedure. This medical balloon catheter is used by injecting or administering a medicinal solution to a patient, removing a thrombus, excreting a body fluid such as urine, or a physiological saline solution by placing the balloon in or near the affected area of the patient and expanding and contracting the balloon. Is injected.
Since the balloon of the balloon catheter is repeatedly inflated and deflated, it is important that the balloon site be quickly and uniformly inflated and deflated over the entire balloon site. Usually, a balloon catheter is formed by forming a silicone tube and a cylindrical balloon member separately and then inserting the balloon member into the silicone tube. Then, a release agent may be applied between the silicone tube and the balloon member so that the balloon member quickly expands. For example, in Patent Document 1, after molding a first tube, a support rod is inserted into a region to be inflated by the balloon, a release layer is provided, the support rod is removed, and a second balloon is formed on the support rod. A method of manufacturing a balloon catheter having a molded tube is disclosed.
The balloon of the balloon catheter is usually formed of rubber or elastomer having excellent elasticity, but it is often formed of silicone rubber or the like because it is excellent in hygiene and has a high affinity with the living body. In order for the silicone of the balloon part to be rapidly released from the silicone of the core and to be uniformly expanded and contracted, it is preferable that the thickness of the resin forming the balloon part is thin. However, since silicone has gas permeability, if it is too thin, there is a problem that after the balloon is formed, the air easily escapes from the fine pores and the balloon shrinks. The above-mentioned Patent Document 1 describes a manufacturing method in which steps such as insertion and removal of the support rod are complicated.
The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and an object of the present invention is to provide a method for manufacturing a balloon catheter having a balloon that is simple in process and has good releasability and gas impermeability.
The method for manufacturing a balloon catheter of the present invention comprises a first tube having a first lumen and a second lumen inside, and a second tube arranged on the outer periphery of the first tube, and a part of the second tube expands.
Since the
The balloon catheter of the present invention is preferably used as a medical balloon catheter, and particularly preferably used as a bladder indwelling catheter and a drug solution administration balloon catheter.
