Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a storage battery system.
In a power supply system using a storage battery formed by connecting a plurality of battery cells in series, a voltage detection circuit for detecting a voltage of each battery cell and a voltage of each battery cell detected by the voltage detection circuit are equalized. And a discharge circuit for A low pass filter circuit is provided between the voltage detection circuit and each battery cell in order to remove noise contained in the voltage input from the battery cell to the voltage detection circuit. And the voltage of each battery cell is detected by measuring the voltage of the capacitor | condenser of this low pass filter circuit. However, when discharge is performed from each battery cell by the discharge circuit, the corresponding capacitor is discharged due to a voltage drop due to contact resistance or the like included in the path between the battery cell and the filter circuit, so voltage detection It contributes to the error in detecting the voltage in the circuit. Therefore, in the technique of
However, in the configuration of
This invention is made in view of the said subject, The main objective is to provide the storage battery system which can suppress the discharge by the capacitor | condenser of a filter circuit at the time of the discharge in a discharge circuit.
In the first means, a storage battery (10) in which a plurality of battery cells (C) are connected in series, and a discharge switch (32) and a discharge resistor (provided in each of the battery cells) are connected in series 31) a discharge circuit (30) having a discharge circuit (30), a connection member (L) for connecting the battery cell and the discharge circuit, and the battery cell provided for each battery cell and connected to the battery cell via the connection member And a filter circuit (40) having a filter resistor (41) and a capacitor (42), provided for each battery cell, and with the filter circuit connected to the battery cell, the voltage between the terminals of the capacitor is The voltage detection circuit (21) to be detected, the switch section (43) provided in the path connecting the discharge circuit and the filter circuit, and the switch section during the closing of the discharge switch And a control unit that performs control for the state.
The internal resistance of the connection member between each battery cell and the discharge circuit changes due to aging or the like. As a result, when a current for discharging flows through the discharge circuit, the voltage of the capacitor fluctuates due to the voltage drop at the internal resistance of the connection member, so the voltage of the capacitor detected by the voltage detection circuit is the voltage of the battery cell. It is different from This is a factor of an error in calculating the voltage of the battery cell. In particular, since the demand for the frequency (cutoff frequency) of noise to be removed which is required in recent years has become severe, the time constant of the filter circuit has become large. In such a case, once the capacitor is discharged, it takes time to equalize with the voltage value of the battery cell.
In this configuration, while the discharge switch is closed and discharging is performed in the discharge circuit, the switch portion provided in the path connecting the discharge circuit and the filter circuit is in the open state. By disconnecting the capacitor from the discharge circuit during discharge in the discharge circuit, the capacitor can be prevented from being affected by the voltage drop due to the internal resistance of the connection member.
In the second means, the amount of voltage change before and after the discharge by the discharge circuit is equal to the value of the internal resistance (R) of the connection member multiplied by the value of the current flowing through the discharge circuit during the execution of the discharge. Less than half the value.
Since the capacitor is not discharged at the time of discharge in the discharge circuit, the voltage of the battery cell after the discharge in the discharge circuit is different from the voltage at the voltage detection circuit. Therefore, the error between the capacitor and the battery cell is larger than the error between the capacitor and the battery cell due to the voltage drop at the connecting member, because the battery and the battery do not discharge at the time of discharge. It is feared that it will Therefore, a configuration was adopted in which the amount of voltage change before and after the discharge by the discharge circuit is smaller than half the value obtained by multiplying the value of the current flowing through the discharge circuit by the value of the internal resistance in the connecting member. Under such conditions, the difference between the voltage of the battery cell and the capacitor due to the discharge of the capacitor is smaller than the error due to the voltage fluctuation of the capacitor due to the internal resistance of the connection member. That is, when the amount of voltage change due to discharge in the discharge circuit is small, for example, when used for equalization processing during vehicle travel, it is suitable to use such a configuration.
In the third means, the voltage detection circuit, the discharge switch, the filter resistor, and the switch unit are integrated in a common IC (20).
Generally, a voltage detection circuit for detecting a voltage of a storage battery and a discharge switch for controlling a discharge circuit are incorporated in a common IC. By providing a filter resistance and a switch section in this common IC, it is not necessary to provide a control pin for controlling the switch section in the IC. In addition, when only the switch unit is incorporated in the IC and the filter resistor is mounted outside the IC, it is necessary to provide a pin for connecting the switch unit in the IC and the filter resistor. It is necessary to change the circuit configuration significantly. That is, in this configuration, it is possible to suppress the change of the IC and the circuit configuration connected to the IC, which results in cost reduction. In addition, the number of mounting components can be reduced as compared with the case where the switch unit and the filter resistor are mounted outside the IC.
In the fourth means, the capacitor (44) is connected to the outside of the IC by connecting a resistor (44) which is connected in parallel to the capacitor and the filter resistance and the switch section and whose resistance is smaller than the filter resistance. And the resistor having a small resistance value form the filter circuit having a small time constant.
When the filter resistance is provided inside the IC, it is not easy to change the resistance value of the filter resistance, and it is not easy to change the time constant. Therefore, let us consider the case where the filter resistance having a large resistance value is incorporated in the IC so that the time constant of the filter resistance and the capacitor becomes large. When the resistance value of the filter resistor incorporated in the IC is large, it may be desirable to reduce the time constant of the filter circuit in order to improve the responsiveness of the charge to the capacitor. In that case, a resistor smaller in resistance than the filter resistor is connected outside the IC in parallel with the filter resistor and the switch, and a filter circuit is formed by the capacitor and the resistor smaller in resistance, The time constant of the filter circuit can be reduced.
In the fifth means, the voltage detection circuit, the discharge switch, and the switch unit are incorporated in a common IC (20), while the filter resistor is mounted outside the IC.
When a filter resistor is incorporated in the IC, the tolerance of the resistance value is larger than that of the external resistor, and the time constant varies. Therefore, by mounting the filter resistor on the outside of the IC, the tolerance of the filter resistor can be reduced and the variation of the time constant can be suppressed. By the way, when the number of parts to be externally attached increases, the cost for mounting the parts also increases. Therefore, in this configuration, the switch unit is incorporated in a common IC. That is, in the present configuration, it is possible to suppress the variation of the time constant while reducing the number of mounted components to reduce the cost.
Hereinafter, an embodiment of a storage battery system according to the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. The storage battery system according to the present invention is applied to, for example, a power supply system mounted on a hybrid vehicle or an electric vehicle.
As shown in FIG. 1, the power supply system includes a
The

For each battery cell C, a
The connection member L includes a
The
When a current flows in the
The
The
The
FIG. 3 is a flowchart implemented by the microcomputer (monitoring IC 20), and this process is implemented by the microcomputer at a predetermined cycle when the vehicle is traveling.
In step S11, the voltages of all the battery cells C are acquired. Specifically, the
In step S12, based on the voltage of each battery cell C acquired in step S11, a battery cell C requiring discharge for equalization is set. Specifically, when the voltage of a certain battery cell C is higher than the voltage of another battery cell C, it is determined that discharge for equalization is necessary for this battery cell C. In the present embodiment, the following description will be made on the assumption that discharge for equalization is necessary for the battery cell C3.
In step S13, all the
Then, in step S14, in the group of odd-numbered battery cells C or the group of even-numbered battery cells C, the battery cells C requiring discharge are discharged. Specifically, in order to discharge in the
When the discharge is completed in step S14, all the
In step S16, the voltage of the battery cell C is acquired as the voltage immediately after the discharge. Specifically, as in step S11, the voltage of the

A case where a current for discharging is supplied to the

Further, in the
Next, as in the present embodiment, the case where the
First, at timing t11, the
Then, at timing t14, the
After the discharge is performed for a predetermined time (for example, a few tens of milliseconds), the
Then, after waiting for a time (several milliseconds) for switching until the current does not flow reliably after the
When the discharge time is long and the change in voltage of the battery cell C due to the discharge is large, an error caused by disconnecting the
In the present embodiment, since discharge is performed in a short time while the vehicle is traveling, the voltage change amount (V0-V1) of the battery cell C before and after the discharge is small, and the voltage of the corresponding
According to the embodiment described above, the following effects can be obtained.
The internal resistance R of the connection member L between each battery cell C and the
In the present embodiment, while the discharge in the
In the present embodiment, since the
Generally, the
Other Embodiments
The present invention is not limited to the above embodiment, and may be implemented, for example, as follows.
In the above embodiment, the
Specifically, the
When the
In the embodiment described above, the
When the
Therefore, as shown in FIG. 6, the
As shown in FIG. 6, by providing the

For example, as shown in FIG. 7, the

In the above embodiment, the
