The automatic procedure can be initiated by input provided by the user, but subsequent actions that are performed "automatically" are not specified by the user, ie the user specifies each action to be performed " It will not be performed manually. For example, it is possible for the user to fill out an electronic form by selecting each field and providing an input specifying the information (eg, by typing in the information, check boxes, selecting a wireless selection, etc.) Even if the computer system has to update the form in response to the action of the user, it will fill in the form manually. If the computer system (e.g., software running on the computer system) analyzes a field on the form and fills in the form without any user input specifying an answer for that field, the form may It will be filled in automatically by the system. As mentioned above, the user can invoke the automatic filling of the form but not participate in the actual filling of the form (for example, the user does not manually specify an answer for the field, rather the answer is It can be said that it completes automatically. The present specification provides various embodiments in which an action is automatically performed in response to an action performed by a user.

As described further herein, the
Network slicing
Network Slicing enables, for example, cellular network operators to create customized networks to provide solutions for different market scenarios with diverse requirements in the area of functionality, performance and separation. It is a concept that can be For example, a cellular network may provide multiple network slices, and each network slice of the multiple network slices may include several specific telecommunication service (s) and network capabilities, and their network functions. A set of network functions selected to provide resources for performing (network function, NF) may be included.
Network slicing technology is currently being actively developed and may occupy an important position in fifth generation ("5G") cellular communication technology. For example, international generation such as next generation mobile networks (NGMN), third generation partnership project (third generation partnership project, 3GPP), 5G public private partnership (5GPPP), 4G Americas, 5G Forum, International Mobile Telecommunications 2020 (IMT-2020), etc. And regional organizations have documented possible use cases and requirements for network slicing.
Among the possible network slicing solutions, Radio Access Network (RAN) slicing and Core Network (CN) slicing are both possible, and 3GPP RAN working group (WG) as well as 3GPP. Are currently being considered separately by the WG for services and system aspects (SA). For example, 3GPP TR 23.799 is maintained by 3GPP SA2 and describes several candidate solutions for 5G network architecture and related important issues, including network slicing.
According to some embodiments, a number of important principles can be employed to support network slicing in the RAN. For example, in at least some instances, some or all of the following principles may be employed.
As one possible principle, the RAN can be aware of the possibility of network slices. For example, it can be expected that the RAN will support differentiated processing of different network slices pre-configured by the operator.
As another possible principle, it can be expected that the RAN supports the selection of the RAN part of the network slice by the index or ID provided by the UE. The index or ID can uniquely identify one of the pre-configured network slices in the PLMN.
A further principle can be related to resource management between slices. For example, one can expect the RAN to support cross-slice policy enforcement as per service level agreement.
Yet another principle can be related to support of Quality of Service (QoS). For example, the RAN can be expected to support QoS differentiation within a slice.
Still further principles can relate to RAN selection of CN entities. For example, one may expect RAN to support initial selection of CN entity for initial routing of uplink messages based on received slice index and mapping within RAN node (CN entity, slice supported) .
Another possible principle can relate to resource separation between slices. For example, RAN can be expected to support resource separation between slices.
Variations and / or alternatives to the above principles are also possible. Furthermore, in accordance with at least some embodiments, the method by which the RAN supports slice validation for RAN functions (ie, the set of network functions that form each slice) may, for example, be generally used to support network slicing. It should be noted that it may be implementation dependent, provided that the agreed principles are supported.

12 to 13-Proposed Network Slice Selection Solution The logical architectures (ie including the first, second, third and fourth solutions) that support the network slicing described above are diverse. May be constrained. For example, in the first and fourth solutions, all signaling is routed via slice selection and routing function or access control agent, respectively. In addition, in the first solution, user data is also routed via slice selection and routing functions. Such an architecture may be relatively inflexible, and in particular may have to provide a robust and powerful network slice selection entity, and / or data or signaling bottlenecks or Even failure may be suffered. The second solution provides only network slice selection techniques in a general way, does not include any specific procedure details for network slice selection, and networks with multiple (eg, different) communication devices It does not explicitly provide a means of connecting to slices. The third solution assumes that common control plane functions exist for different network slices, which may impose unnecessary rigidity on the architecture.
Therefore, FIG. 12 shows a possible cellular network logical architecture that can support network slice selection in a way that addresses such constraints, and FIG. 13 is associated with the architecture of FIG. Figure 2 shows the details of the signal flow procedure to be obtained Thus, the architecture illustrated in FIG. 12 and the associated procedures and details of FIG. 13 may be referred to herein as “proposed architecture” and / or “proposed solution”.
As shown, the logical architecture of network slice selection of FIG. 12 includes
As shown, there may be one control plane (CP) entry point (eg, CP entry points 1232, 1242) for each corresponding network slice. The
According to some embodiments,
According to some embodiments,
FIG. 13 shows the signal flow procedure associated with the logical architecture of network slice selection of FIG. 12 (e.g. associated with the proposed solution). The illustrated signal flow procedure includes possible signal flows for the first service request (part 1: steps 1301-1311) and the second service request (part 2: steps 1312-1319).
As shown, in
In
At
At step 1304, the
At step 1305, the
At
UEの好ましいNSIDが選択方針に適合していない場合、NSSF1226は、異なるNSID(例えば、すべての一致するNSIDの中で最も高い優先度を有するNSID)を選択することができる。
According to some embodiments, the NSID can include RANSID and CNSID. In at least some instances, if the preferred NSID of the UE is provided to comply with the selection policy, the preferred NSID of the UE can be given the highest priority among all matching NSIDs, and the selection can do. If the preferred NSID of the UE does not meet the selection policy, the

At step 1308, the

In step 1315, the

As mentioned above, the proposed solution can provide a number of advantages over the previously described (i.e. first, second, third and fourth) solutions. For example, the proposed solution may require relatively small processing power of the network slice selection function, as no signaling or data routing is required of the NSSF. Furthermore, the proposed architecture may, for example, establish a connection for a UE to a network slice where the predefined network slice and / or the UE has an existing connection, even if the NSSF fails (e.g. temporarily) It may be inherently relatively rigid, as it may still be possible. In addition, the network functions for each network slice and their interfaces / procedures are defined in the network slice, eg via a management and coordination system. This can simplify the logic between different network slices and allow more flexibility in the use case of network slicing deployment (eg the need for network slices to rely on common CP functions Because there is no
In the following sections, for illustrative purposes, specific features of the proposed solution and the first, second, third and fourth solutions are compared and contrasted.
In the first solution, all signaling and data will pass through slice selection and routing functions. As mentioned above, this may require the slice selection and routing functions to be very robust and have considerable processing power. The NSSF in the proposed solution may be used only for network slice selection (according to at least some embodiments) and may not process the NAS message of the UE or route UP data.
The second solution describes the general method for selecting a network slice for the UE. By comparison, the proposed solution supports connecting the UE to multiple different network slices and includes detailed connection establishment procedures.
The third solution is based on the premise that there is a common CP function for different network slices. The proposed solution does not require any such premise. In addition, in the third solution, the CP function (s) in the network slice instance to which the RAN node connects is selected by the RAN node. By comparison, in the proposed solution, the CP function to which the RAN node connects can be indicated by the NSSF. Furthermore, in the third solution, the service request message is always sent by the RAN node to the common CP function, but in the proposed solution the service request message is sent to the CP entry point of the selected network slice. Can be sent.
The ACA in the fourth solution can represent a CP anchor for the UE so that all NAS CP messages can be routed through this ACA function. In contrast, the NSSF in the proposed solution may be used for network slice selection only (in accordance with at least some embodiments) and may not process the NAS message of the UE.
