Abstract
Description
本発明は、排ガス浄化用触媒に関する。詳しくは、ウォールフロー型の排ガス浄化用触媒に関する。 The present invention relates to an exhaust gas purification catalyst. In particular, it relates to a wall flow type exhaust gas purification catalyst.
一般に、内燃機関から排出される排ガスには、炭素を主成分とする粒子状物質(PM:Particulate Matter)、不燃成分からなるアッシュなどが含まれ、大気汚染の原因となることが知られている。そのため、粒子状物質の排出量については、排ガスに含まれる炭化水素(HC)、一酸化炭素(CO)、窒素酸化物(NOx)などの有害成分とともに年々規制が強化されている。そこで、これらの粒子状物質を排ガスから捕集して除去するための技術が提案されている。 Generally, exhaust gases emitted from internal combustion engines include particulate matter (PM: Particulate Matter) mainly composed of carbon, ash composed of non-combustible components, etc., and are known to cause air pollution. . Therefore, with respect to the amount of emission of particulate matter, regulations along with harmful components such as hydrocarbons (HC), carbon monoxide (CO), and nitrogen oxides (NOx) contained in exhaust gas are strengthened year by year. Therefore, techniques for collecting and removing these particulate matter from exhaust gas have been proposed.
For example, a particulate filter for collecting the particulate matter is provided in an exhaust passage of an internal combustion engine. For example, a gasoline engine may be equipped with a gasoline particulate filter (GPF) in an exhaust passage, because a certain amount of particulate matter less than a diesel engine is discharged together with the exhaust gas. As such a particulate filter, one having a structure called a wall flow type is known, in which a substrate is composed of a large number of porous cells, and the inlet and the outlet of the large number of cells are alternately closed. In the wall flow type particulate filter, the exhaust gas flowing in from the cell inlet passes through the partitioned porous cell partition walls and is discharged to the cell outlet. And, while the exhaust gas passes through the porous cell partition, the particulate matter is collected in the pores inside the partition.
Further, in recent years, it has been considered to support a catalyst on a particulate filter in order to further improve purification performance. For example, a filter provided with an SCR catalyst (Selective Catalytic Reduction: NOx selective reduction catalyst) is used as a useful catalyst capable of purifying NOx. The SCR catalyst is typically composed of a zeolite such as a copper-supported zeolite or an iron-supported zeolite, and the NOx in exhaust gas is reduced by the reduction action of ammonia adsorbed on the SCR catalyst (eg 4NH 3 + 2NO 2 + 2NO → 4N 2 + 6H 2 O) Show the effect of purifying In addition, in order to suppress the external discharge (slip) of ammonia left over by NOx purification, development of a file using a combination of an SCR catalyst and an oxidation catalyst has been advanced. As a prior art regarding the filter catalyst which carry | supported this kind of catalyst, patent document 1 is mentioned.
In the wall flow type particulate filter, Patent Document 1 proposes a filter catalyst in which an SCR catalyst is disposed inside a partition and an oxidation catalyst is laminated on the wall (wall surface) of the partition. However, in the technology described in Patent Document 1, since the SCR catalyst is disposed entirely in the wall of the partition wall, the pore inside of the partition wall is easily clogged at the time of PM deposition, and there is a disadvantage that the pressure loss (pressure loss) increases. . There is a need for an exhaust gas purification catalyst that can achieve both good purification performance and NH 3 slip suppression while suppressing an increase in pressure loss.
本発明は、かかる事案に鑑みてなされたものであり、その主な目的は、ウォールフロー構造タイプのパティキュレートフィルタを備えた排ガス浄化用触媒において、圧損の上昇を抑えつつ、良好な浄化性能とNH3のスリップ抑制とを両立し得る排ガス浄化用触媒を提供することである。 The present invention has been made in view of such a case, and its main object is to provide a catalyst for exhaust gas purification provided with a particulate filter of wall flow structure, with excellent purification performance while suppressing an increase in pressure loss.

As the oxidation catalyst, one or more of conventionally known oxidation catalysts used in this type of filter catalyst can be used without particular limitation. For example, the oxidation catalyst may contain a noble metal containing at least one of platinum (Pt) and palladium (Pd) and a carrier supporting the noble metal. The support may further contain a metal other than Pt and Pd. Such metals include rhodium (Rh), ruthenium (Ru), osmium (Os), iridium (Ir), silver (Ag), gold (Au) and the like. Moreover, you may use what carried out alloying 2 or more types among these metals. Furthermore, other metal species such as alkali metals, alkaline earth metals, transition metals, etc. may be used. The average particle diameter of the metal particles is usually about 0.1 nm to 20 nm, and for example, 1 nm to 10 nm, 7 nm or less, and preferably 5 nm or less.
好ましい一態様では、第2触媒層30は、貴金属としてPtを含んでいる。基材の体積1L当たりのPtの含有量は、概ね0.1g〜10g、例えば0.3g〜6g、典型的には0.5g〜3gであることが好ましい。上記Ptの含有量が少なすぎると、Ptにより得られる触媒活性が不十分となることがあり、他方、Ptの担持量が多すぎると、Ptが粒成長を起こしやすくなると同時にコスト面でも不利である。
In a preferred embodiment, the
The
The shape (outer shape) of the carrier is not particularly limited, but in view of securing a larger specific surface area, powdery ones are preferably used. For example, the average particle size of the carrier is, for example, 20 μm or less, typically 10 μm or less, for example 7 μm or less. When the average particle size of the carrier is too large, the dispersibility of the catalyst metal supported on the carrier tends to be reduced, which is not preferable because the purification performance of the catalyst is reduced. The average particle size may be, for example, 5 μm or less, typically 3 μm or less. On the other hand, when the average particle diameter of the carrier is too small, the heat resistance of the carrier itself is lowered, and the heat resistance of the catalyst is undesirably lowered. Therefore, it is usually preferable to use a carrier having an average particle size of about 0.1 μm or more, for example, 0.5 μm or more. Although the loading amount of the catalyst metal on the carrier is not particularly limited, the range of 0.01 mass% to 10 mass% (for example, 0.05 mass% to the total mass of the carrier supporting the catalyst metal of the second catalyst layer 30) It is suitable to adjust to 5% by mass, typically 0.1% by mass to 1% by mass). When the loading amount of the catalyst metal is too small, the catalytic activity obtained by the catalyst metal may be insufficient. On the other hand, when the loading amount of the catalyst metal is too large, the catalyst metal is likely to cause grain growth and cost Is also disadvantageous.
上記担体に触媒金属粒子を担持させる方法としては特に制限されない。例えば触媒金属塩(例えば硝酸塩)や触媒金属錯体(例えば、テトラアンミン錯体)を含有する水溶液に上記担体を含浸させた後、乾燥させ、焼成することにより調製することができる。 It does not restrict | limit especially as a method of making the said support | carrier carry | support catalyst metal particle. For example, it can be prepared by impregnating an aqueous solution containing a catalyst metal salt (for example, nitrate) or a catalyst metal complex (for example, tetraammine complex), and then drying and impregnating the carrier.
In addition to the above-described support on which the catalyst metal is supported, a cocatalyst not supporting the catalyst metal particles can be added to the

Since the exhaust
The reducing agent solution supply means may be disposed upstream of the exhaust

After dispersing alumina silicate (CHA type, SSZ-13) as zeolite in ion exchange water, copper acetate was added. The dispersion is heated to 80 ° C., stirred for 12 hours, filtered and washed, and the obtained solid is dried at 200 ° C. for 5 hours to obtain Cu ion-exchanged zeolite (an amount of supported Cu as an SCR catalyst) 3 mass%) was produced. After 1000 parts by mass of the obtained Cu ion-exchanged zeolite, 500 parts by mass of silica sol and 1000 parts by mass of pure water were mixed, the mixture was stirred by a ball mill for 1 hour to prepare a slurry 1. Next, the slurry 1 is supplied from the end portion on the exhaust gas inflow side of the honeycomb substrate made of cordierite (wall flow structure, cylindrical shape, diameter 160 mm,
Further, 900 g of alumina was suspended in water, and a mixture containing platinum nitrate was evaporated to dryness to prepare a platinum-supporting alumina powder as an oxidation catalyst. The amount of platinum supported on alumina was 0.2% by mass. After 100 parts by mass of the obtained platinum-supporting alumina powder, 100 parts by mass of alumina and water were mixed, the mixture was stirred by a ball mill for 1 hour to prepare a slurry 2. Then, the slurry 2 is supplied from the end on the exhaust gas outlet side of the honeycomb substrate into the outlet cell, coated by air blowing into pores in contact with the outlet cell of the partition wall, and dried and fired. The second catalyst layer was formed inside the partition walls. The content of the oxidation catalyst in the second catalyst layer was adjusted to 50 g. 50% of the second length in the stretching direction of the catalyst layer (coating width) L 2 is the total length of the partition wall L w, the thickness T 2 are set to 50% of the total thickness T w of the partition wall.
Thus, a filter catalyst in which the first catalyst layer and the second catalyst layer were disposed inside the partition walls was produced.

<Measurement of NOx purification rate>
The filter catalyst of each example was installed in the exhaust pipe of the engine, and the engine was operated for a certain period of time to measure the NOx purification rate. Specifically, the filter catalyst of each example was attached to the exhaust pipe of a 2.2 L common rail type diesel engine, the exhaust gas was allowed to flow through the filter catalyst, and the NOx purification rate was measured. An oxidation (DOC) catalyst was placed upstream of the exhaust pipe rather than the filter catalyst in order to remove unburned light oil discharged from the engine. Further, an injector was installed on the upstream side of the exhaust pipe with respect to the filter catalyst, and urea water as a reducing agent solution for generating ammonia from the injector was added. Urea water was adjusted so that the equivalence ratio of NH 3 to NOx was 1. Here, the NOx purification rate (%) was calculated by “(NOx concentration of catalyst-incorporated gas (ppm) −NOx concentration of catalyst outgas (ppm)) / NOx concentration of catalyst-incorporated gas (ppm)” × 100. Further, the NH 3 concentration and the N 2 O concentration were measured downstream of the filter catalyst, and the slip of ammonia and N 2 O was evaluated in combination with the NOx purification rate. The evaluation temperature was 300.degree. The results are shown in the “NH 3 ” column and the “N 2 O” column of Table 1.
As shown in Table 1, the filter catalyst of Example 2 in which the second catalyst layer containing the oxidation catalyst was disposed on the partition wall wall had a poor gas diffusivity to the second catalyst layer, so the amount of slip of NH 3 increased. It was a trend. In addition, since the filter catalyst of Example 2 forms the first catalyst layer substantially over the entire region inside the partition walls, the pores are clogged by PM deposition, and the pressure loss also tends to increase. On the other hand, in the filter catalyst of Example 3, the catalyst layer containing the oxidation catalyst is disposed in the region in contact with the inlet cell inside the partition, and the catalyst layer containing the SCR catalyst is disposed in the region in contact with the outlet cell inside the partition, Since NH 3 in the exhaust gas was consumed by the oxidation catalyst before coming into contact with the SCR catalyst and a sufficient amount of NH 3 was not supplied to the SCR catalyst, the NOx purification rate tended to decrease. On the other hand, the first catalyst layer containing the SCR catalyst is formed in a region shorter than the total length L w of the partition in the region in contact with the inlet cell inside the partition, and the second catalyst layer containing the oxidation catalyst is the partition The filter catalyst of Example 1 formed with a length shorter than the total length L w of the partition wall in the region in contact with the inside of the discharge cell of the inner wall provides better results with the pressure loss and the NH 3 slip compared to Example 2. The In addition, the filter catalyst of Example 1 had better results in the NOx purification rate than in Example 3. From this result, the first catalyst layer containing the SCR catalyst is formed in a region shorter than the total length L w of the partition in the region in contact with the inlet cell inside the partition, and the second catalyst layer containing the oxidation catalyst is the partition By forming the region in contact with the outlet cell inside with a length shorter than the total length L w of the partition walls, it is possible to achieve both high NOx purification performance and high NH 3 slip suppression while suppressing an increase in pressure loss. It could be confirmed that it could be done.
In the case of the filter catalyst tested here, the filter catalysts of Examples 1, 5 and 6 in which the length L 1 of the first catalyst layer is 40% or more and 70% or less of the total length L w of the partition in the extending direction of the partition are Compared to Example 5, better results were obtained with the NOx purification rate. Also, the filter catalysts of Examples 1, 5 and 6 gave better results in terms of pressure drop compared to Example 7. From this result, the length L 1 of the first catalyst layer in the filter catalyst, it is desirable that 70% or less 40% of the total length L w of the partition wall.
For a filter catalyst this was subjected Here, in the thickness direction orthogonal to the stretching direction, examples 1,13,14 which the thickness T 1 of the first catalyst layer is 100% or less than 50% of the total thickness T w of the partition The filter catalyst gave better results in the NOx purification rate as compared to Example 15. Also, the filter catalysts of Examples 1, 13 and 14 gave better results in the pressure drop and the NOx purification rate than in Example 16. From this result, the thickness T 1 of the first catalyst layer in the filter catalyst is preferably less than or equal to 100% more than 50% of the total thickness T w of the partition wall.
ここで供試したフィルタ触媒の場合、隔壁の延伸方向において、第2触媒層の長さL2を隔壁の全長Lwの40%以上70%以下とした例1、9、10のフィルタ触媒は、例8、11に比べて、NH3のスリップ量でより良好な結果が得られた。この結果から、フィルタ触媒における第2触媒層の長さL2は、隔壁の全長Lwの40%以上70%以下とすることが望ましい。 In the case of the filter catalyst tested here, the filter catalysts of Examples 1, 9 and 10 in which the length L 2 of the second catalyst layer is 40% or more and 70% or less of the total length L w of the partition in the extending direction of the partition are As compared with Examples 8 and 11, better results were obtained with the slip amount of NH 3 . From this result, the length L 2 of the second catalytic layer in the filter catalyst, it is desirable that 70% or less 40% of the total length L w of the partition wall.
In the case of the filter catalyst tested here, the filter catalyst of Examples 1 and 18 in which the thickness T 2 of the second catalyst layer is 40% or more and 75% or less of the total thickness T w of the partition wall in the thickness direction orthogonal to the stretching direction. As compared to Example 17, better results were obtained with the pressure drop. In addition, the filter catalysts of Examples 1 and 18 gave better results with the slip amount of NH 3 as compared with Example 19. From this result, the thickness T 2 of the second catalytic layer in the filter catalyst is preferably less than or equal to 75% 40% of the total thickness T w of the partition wall.
