Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a turbo refrigerator, and more particularly to a high head type turbo refrigerator capable of securing an operation area at low head time and partial load while avoiding surging.
Conventionally, a turbo-refrigerator used for a refrigeration air-conditioning apparatus or the like is constituted by a closed system in which a refrigerant is enclosed, and an evaporator which deprives heat from a fluid to be cooled and evaporates the refrigerant to exhibit a refrigeration effect; A compressor that compresses the refrigerant gas evaporated in step 1 into a high-pressure refrigerant gas, a condenser that cools and condenses the high-pressure refrigerant gas with a cooling fluid, and an expansion valve that decompresses and expands the condensed refrigerant And a mechanism) are connected by a refrigerant pipe.
When operating a turbo chiller with a high head, if the opening of the vane that controls the suction air volume at the compressor inlet is reduced by reducing the refrigeration load, the flow of the refrigerant gas from a certain opening will stall and cause vibration and vibration The noise gets louder, so-called surging occurs. The occurrence of surging causes various problems such as a reduction in bearing life and damage due to a large amount of noise, an excessive thrust load, and the like, a rapid fluctuation in the temperature of the cold water, and the like. Therefore, when surging occurs, it is essential to promptly detect it and to take necessary protective measures such as alarm notification, stop of the device, correction of rotational speed, and the like. Therefore, in the conventional turbo refrigerator, the surging is detected from the change in the current value of the motor that drives the compressor (see, for example, Patent Document 1).
However, in the surging detection based on the fluctuation of the current value, it may be recognized that surging occurs in the compressor even when the compressor is operating normally. For example, when the motor current is decreasing along with the reduction of the refrigeration load, the change amount of the motor current may exceed the threshold value of the surging detection, and the occurrence of the surging may be erroneously detected.
The present invention has been made in view of the above-described circumstances, and an object thereof is to provide a turbo refrigerator capable of accurately detecting surging.
One aspect of the present invention is a compressor having an impeller and a motor for rotating the impeller, a condenser connected to the discharge port of the compressor, and an evaporator connected to the suction port of the compressor A current detector for detecting a motor current supplied to the motor, an inlet temperature measuring device for measuring an inlet temperature of cold water flowing into the evaporator, and an outlet temperature of the cold water flowing out of the evaporator And a controller for detecting surging in the compressor based on both the change in the motor current and the change in the difference between the inlet temperature and the outlet temperature. It is a turbo chiller.
According to such a configuration, surging can be accurately detected based on the change in the difference between the inlet temperature and the outlet temperature of the cold water in addition to the change in the motor current.
The control device detects a first temporary surging based on a change in the motor current, detects a second temporary surging based on a change in a difference between the inlet temperature and the outlet temperature, and is set in advance. If both the first temporary surging and the second temporary surging are detected within the monitoring period, it is determined that surging has occurred in the compressor.
According to such a configuration, the control device determines that surging has occurred in the compressor on condition that both the first and second temporary surgings have been detected. False detection can be reliably prevented.
The control device compares the difference between the inlet temperature and the outlet temperature with a threshold at a predetermined cycle, counts the number of times the difference is less than the threshold within the monitoring period, and Is equal to or greater than a set value, the second temporary surging is detected.
According to such a configuration, it is possible to accurately detect the second temporary surging.
The control device is characterized in that when both the first temporary surging and the second temporary surging are detected within the monitoring period, it is determined that surging has occurred in the compressor.
According to such a configuration, the control device can quickly determine the occurrence of surging without waiting for the monitoring period to elapse. Therefore, the control device can immediately stop the operation of the turbo chiller or can promptly issue an alarm indicating the occurrence of surging.
The threshold value includes a first threshold value and a second threshold value lower than the first threshold value, and the control device is configured to determine that a refrigeration load factor is lower than a predetermined low load factor. When the difference is also high, the first threshold value is calculated by multiplying the difference between the inlet temperature and the preset target temperature by a predetermined first ratio, and the inlet temperature and the inlet temperature are calculated at the predetermined cycle. The difference between the outlet temperature and the outlet temperature is compared with the first threshold value, and when the refrigeration load factor is equal to or less than the low load factor, a predetermined second ratio is set to the difference between the inlet temperature and the target temperature. The second threshold is calculated by multiplication, and the difference between the inlet temperature and the outlet temperature is compared with the second threshold in the predetermined cycle. I assume.
According to such a configuration, when the refrigeration load factor is low, the control device can accurately determine the occurrence of the second temporary surging without affecting the determination of the stability of the operation of the turbo refrigerator. it can. Specifically, in order to determine the stability of the operation of the turbo refrigerator, in the control device, an allowable range of temperature control for the target temperature of the cold water outlet temperature is generally set. For example, if the chilled water outlet temperature is within an allowable range of ± 0.3 ° C. with respect to the target temperature, the controller determines that the turbo refrigerator is operating stably. However, if the refrigeration load factor drops to some extent (for example, when the rated load factor falls from 100% to 20% or less), the control device receives the cold water inlet temperature even though the cold water outlet temperature is within the allowable range. The second temporary surging may be detected if it is determined that the difference between the and the outlet temperature is equal to or less than the threshold.
According to the above-described configuration, the control device selectively uses the first threshold or the second threshold according to the refrigeration load factor, so that the occurrence of the second temporary surging can be accurately determined. be able to.
According to the present invention, the controller can accurately detect surging based on the change in the difference between the inlet temperature and the outlet temperature of the cold water in addition to the change in the motor current.
Hereinafter, an embodiment of a turbo refrigerator according to the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. 1 to 4.
FIG. 1 is a schematic view showing an entire configuration of a turbo refrigerator according to an embodiment of the present invention. As shown in FIG. 1, the turbo refrigerator includes a compressor 1, a
The
The compressor 1 of the present embodiment is composed of a multistage turbo compressor. More specifically, the compressor 1 is a two-stage turbo compressor, and includes a first-
The
On the suction side of the
The turbo refrigerator further includes a
The
Hereinafter, an example of a first temporary surging detection mechanism will be described. FIG. 2 is a graph showing fluctuation of motor current when surging occurs. As shown in FIG. 2, when surging occurs in the compressor 1, the motor current periodically fluctuates. Therefore, the
Current amplitude ratio = maximum value of motor current / minimum value of motor current
The
At the end of each cycle,
In the example shown in FIG. 2, since the number of times of current rise in the monitoring period M1 is 3, the
As described above, the
Next, an example of a second provisional surging detection mechanism will be described. FIG. 3 is a graph showing the variation of the difference between the cold water inlet temperature and the outlet temperature when surging occurs. In FIG. 3, the vertical axis represents the difference between the cold water inlet temperature and the outlet temperature (hereinafter simply referred to as the cold water temperature difference), and the horizontal axis represents time. As shown in FIG. 3, when surging occurs in the compressor 1, the cold-water temperature difference periodically fluctuates, as with the motor current.
Therefore, the
At the end of each cycle,
In the example shown in FIG. 3, the monitoring period M2 is 120 seconds, which is the same as the monitoring period M1 shown in FIG. 2, but may be different. The start point of the monitoring period M2 is the time when the
In the example shown in FIG. 3, since the number of temperature difference reductions in the monitoring period M2 is 3, the
When the
The
FIG. 4 is a flowchart for explaining the operation of the aforementioned surging detection. As shown in FIG. 4, the
At the same time as step 1 described above, the
When both the first temporary surging and the second temporary surging are detected within the monitoring period M2 (step 15), the
In order to determine the stability of the operation of the turbo refrigerator, the
Therefore, in order to avoid such control erroneous detection, in one embodiment, the threshold value U is set so that the threshold value of the chilled water outlet temperature of the
The
