Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a pneumatic tire.
The plurality of main grooves extending in the tire circumferential direction divide the tread, and form a center land portion on the inner side in the tire width direction, a shoulder land portion on the outer side in the tire width direction, and the like. Depending on the tire, the center portion is a rib continuous in the tire circumferential direction. On the other hand, as shown in Patent Document 1 and Patent Document 2, there is also a tire in which the center portion is divided by a plurality of lateral grooves extending in the tire width direction to form a block row.
Tires having block rows tend to be excellent in traction because they have lateral grooves. In particular, if the lateral grooves are deep, even if tread wear progresses, the lateral grooves remain deep and traction is ensured.
However, the block may have low rigidity and may move easily as compared with the rib continuous in the tire circumferential direction, and the tire having the block row may have low abrasion resistance and low partial abrasion resistance. In particular, when the lateral groove is deep, the wear resistance and the uneven wear resistance tend to be low. As described above, conventionally, it has been difficult to simultaneously achieve traction and wear resistance and uneven wear resistance.
Then, this invention makes it a subject to provide the pneumatic tire which is excellent in traction property and excellent also in abrasion resistance and partial abrasion resistance.
The pneumatic tire according to the embodiment has a plurality of main grooves extending in the circumferential direction of the tire, and land portions sandwiched between the main grooves are divided by the plurality of lateral grooves to form a plurality of blocks aligned in the circumferential direction of the tire. In the pneumatic tire according to the present invention, the block extends from the first convex portion projecting from one side in the tire width direction to the one side in the tire circumferential direction and from the other side in the tire width direction to the other side in the tire circumferential direction The second convex portion of one block and the first convex portion of the other block overlap in the tire circumferential direction between the blocks adjacent to each other in the tire circumferential direction. The shoulder land portion between the main groove and the tire ground end is formed by alternately arranging the first shoulder block on the main groove side and the second shoulder block on the tire ground end side in the tire circumferential direction. And the first The dull block has a protrusion toward the second shoulder block, and at least at the time of grounding, the protrusion of the first shoulder block overlaps the second shoulder block on both sides in the tire circumferential direction. And the first shoulder block overlaps the second shoulder block on both sides in the tire circumferential direction in the tire width direction.
The pneumatic tire of the embodiment is excellent in traction property and also excellent in wear resistance and uneven wear resistance.
In the
As shown in FIG. 1, the
The tire
The
A
The
Because of this structure, when a force in the tire circumferential direction is loaded on the
As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the
The
A
The
The
Features of the shapes of the
The
Due to this structure, when a force in the circumferential direction of the tire is applied to the
In addition, when a force in the tire width direction is applied to the
The center blocks 50, the first shoulder blocks 70, and the second shoulder blocks 75 in each block row are mutually offset in the tire circumferential direction, but are aligned at the same pitch. It is desirable that the sum of the contact areas of the center lands 40 and the sum of the contact areas of the shoulder lands 60 be approximately equal, and the difference be within 5%.
The
In addition, the
Furthermore, since the first
As described above, the
Further, since the center
Here, if the depth of the center
Further, in the
Further, in the
In addition, since the
In addition to the above-described effects of the
Also, if the difference between the sum of the contact areas of the
Various changes, substitutions, omissions, and the like can be made to the above embodiment without departing from the scope of the invention.
For example, as long as a plurality of main grooves are provided, the number of main grooves is not limited to three as in the above embodiment. Further, the main groove is not limited to the zigzag shape as in the above embodiment, but may be straight or wavy. The presence or absence of the inclination with respect to the tire width direction of each lateral groove is also not limited.
Therefore, various modifications exist in the shape of the center block surrounded by the main groove and the lateral groove. For example, as a shape of the part except the 1st convex part and the 2nd convex part of a center block, a modification, such as a rectangle, a parallelogram, and a trapezoid, exists. In addition, various modifications exist in the shapes of the first convex portion and the second convex portion of the center block. However, it is desirable that the apexes of the first and second projections be linear and the apexes be parallel to each other because the contact area between the first and second projections becomes large. In addition, the shapes of the center blocks may not all be the same. Moreover, the shape of the center narrow groove and sipe etc. which are formed in the center block are not limited to the thing of the said embodiment. The center narrow groove and the sipe may extend in the tire width direction when importance is attached to traction, and the center narrow groove and the sipe may extend in the tire circumferential direction when importance is attached to the lateral slip resistance.
When four or more main grooves are provided, in addition to the center land portion at the center in the tire width direction and the shoulder land portion at the outer side in the tire width direction, the mediator land portion is between the center land portion and the shoulder land portion. It is formed. The media land portion may be formed of a block having the same shape as the center land portion of the above embodiment.
Moreover, the block shape in a shoulder land part is not limited to the thing of the said embodiment, either. The shoulder land portion may be provided with ribs continuous in the tire circumferential direction instead of the block formed by the main groove and the lateral groove.
The wear resistance, uneven wear resistance, and traction of the tires of Examples and Comparative Examples were evaluated. The tread of the tire of Example 1 is that of the above embodiment. The tread of the tire of Example 2 is the one shown in FIG. 3 and is different from that of Example 1 in that the shoulder
The evaluation method is as follows. The indices were all relative to each other with the measurement result of Comparative Example 1 being 100.
Abrasion resistance: The wear amount of the tread after traveling 20000 km was measured, and the measurement result was indexed. The larger the index, the smaller the amount of wear and the better the wear resistance.
Uneven wear resistance: The uneven wear state of the tread after traveling 20000 km (the difference between the amount of wear of heel and toe and the amount of wear of the center land portion and the wear amount of the shoulder land portion) was measured, and the measurement results were indexed. The larger the index is, the smaller the uneven wear and the better the uneven wear resistance.
Tractionability: With the land portion of the tread worn at 70%, the time required to travel 20 m from the stopped state was measured on a road surface with a depth of 1 mm, and the measurement results were indexed. The larger the index, the shorter the time required and the better the traction.
The evaluation results are as shown in Table 2. The numbers listed in Table 2 are the respective indexes described above. It was confirmed that the tires of Examples 1 and 2 were superior to the tire of Comparative Example 1 in wear resistance, uneven wear resistance, and traction.
