Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a length measuring device.
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, a length measuring device is known which is used for manufacturing processes and quality inspections of various products and their component parts, and measures the dimensions of the products and / or parts as objects to be measured.
For example,
Although not a length measuring device using a line sensor,
By the way, according to the description in
In view of the above problems, at least some embodiments of the present invention aim to reduce false detection caused by foreign matter adhesion in a length measuring apparatus using a line sensor.
(1) The length measuring device according to at least one embodiment of the present invention is:
A light irradiation unit for irradiating a light beam over a length direction range including an edge of the measurement object toward the measurement object;
A line sensor arranged along the length direction of the object to be measured so as to face the light irradiation unit across the object to be measured, and configured to detect the light beam;
A position where the signal level of the detection signal of the line sensor is changed, and the condition that the signal level is equal to or less than a threshold value over a specified range upstream of the change position in the feed direction of the object to be measured. A signal processing unit configured to identify the change position as the position of the edge.
According to the knowledge of the present inventors, the foreign matter adhering to the light receiving side casing that covers the line sensor as the light receiving unit of the length measuring device is mostly fine dirt such as oily smoke generated during the operation of the length measuring device. Therefore, according to the configuration of (1) above, only when the detection signal is at a low level over a specified range upstream of the change position of the detection signal of the line sensor in the feed direction, the change position is detected as the edge detection position. By specifying as, it is possible to reduce the possibility of erroneous edge detection due to foreign matter adhesion.
(2) In some embodiments, in the length measuring apparatus according to (1) above,
The signal processing unit
Receiving a first timing signal indicating a reception start timing of the detection signal data of the line sensor;
Obtaining a first time point delayed by a time corresponding to the specified range from the time of receipt of the first timing signal;
Obtaining a second time point after elapse of a time corresponding to the specified range after receiving the data corresponding to the change position during the reception period of the detection signal data;
The coordinate of the change position is obtained from the length of the period between the first time point and the second time point.
When detecting the edge position of the object to be measured when measuring the length of the object to be measured, it is continuously received after the signal processing unit receives the detection signal data including the change position of the signal level of the detection signal by the line sensor. By considering the signal level of the detection signal data corresponding to the specified range, it is possible to determine whether the signal level is changed due to the edge or the signal level is changed due to the foreign matter.
In this regard, according to the configuration of (2) above, after the signal processing unit receives data corresponding to the change position during the reception period of the detection signal data, the time corresponding to the specified range has elapsed from the reception time point. By configuring so that the detection signal data is received until the second time point, it is possible to eliminate the detection signal due to the foreign matter and detect the change position due to the edge with high accuracy. Then, the coordinates of the change position can be appropriately obtained from the length of the period between the first time point delayed by a time corresponding to the specified range from the time point when the first timing signal is received, and the foreign matter The possibility of erroneous edge detection due to adhesion can be reduced.
(3) In some embodiments, in the length measuring apparatus according to (1) or (2) above,
The signal processing unit is configured to identify the change position within a length measurement range that is a part of the extended range of the line sensor and includes the edge as the position of the edge of the object to be measured. .
When a general-purpose line sensor is used, the detection range of the line sensor becomes excessive for the purpose of measuring the object to be measured, and erroneous detection due to foreign matter adhesion (for example, oil stains) on the line sensor can be a problem. In this regard, according to the configuration of the above (3), the change position of the signal level of the detection signal within the length measurement range that is a part of the extension range of the line sensor is represented by the position of the edge in the length direction of the object to be measured. Therefore, it is possible to prevent erroneous detection caused by the adhesion of foreign matter outside the measurement range of the line sensor, and to reduce the frequency of erroneous detection.
(4) In some embodiments, in the length measuring apparatus according to (3) above,
The signal processing unit
In a period in which the object to be measured does not exist between the light irradiation unit and the line sensor, an alarm is output when there is a change in the signal level of the detection signal of the line sensor within the length measurement range,
The alarm is not output even if there is a change in the signal level of the detection signal of the line sensor outside the measurement range during a period when the object to be measured does not exist between the light irradiation unit and the line sensor. Composed.
According to the configuration of (4) above, an alarm is not output even when foreign matter (for example, oil stains) adheres to the outside of the length measurement range, thereby improving the operating rate of the manufacturing apparatus for manufacturing the object to be measured. be able to. On the other hand, foreign matter adhering within the length measurement range can cause false detection of the edge of the object being measured. The foreign matter can be removed at an appropriate timing without lowering the frequency, and the frequency of erroneous detection of the edge of the object to be measured due to the foreign matter adhesion can be reduced.
According to some embodiments of the present invention, it is possible to reduce false detection due to foreign matter adhesion in a length measuring apparatus using a line sensor.

As shown in FIGS. 7 and 8, the coil spring
The
このイメージセンサ51は、例えば、CMOS(Complementary MOS)を用いて構成されていてもよい。なお、他の実施形態では、例えば、イメージセンサ51としてCCD(Charge Coupled Devices)を適用してもよい。

Then, for example, as shown in FIG. 6, the
Here, according to the knowledge of the present inventors, the
In some embodiments, as shown in FIG. 4, for example, the

In some embodiments, the coil
According to this configuration, the distribution
