Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a liquid ejection apparatus and a liquid supply method.
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, various liquid ejection apparatuses that eject liquid from an ejection unit have been used. Among them, as disclosed in
However, in a conventional liquid discharge apparatus that includes a plurality of discharge units and supplies the liquid to the plurality of discharge units by simultaneously sucking the liquid from the plurality of discharge units, each discharge unit including presence or absence of foreign matter The supply condition of the liquid to each discharge part may be different depending on the state of. Therefore, in some cases, the liquid can not be effectively supplied to the plurality of discharge units.
Here, for example,
However, the liquid discharge devices disclosed in
Then, an object of the present invention is to supply a fluid to a plurality of discharge parts effectively.
A liquid discharge apparatus according to a first aspect of the present invention for solving the above problems includes: a plurality of discharge units for discharging a liquid; a flow path for supplying the liquid to the discharge unit; and a plurality of discharge units simultaneously. A suction unit capable of sucking the liquid; a measurement unit that measures the amount of the liquid supplied from the flow path to the discharge unit for each discharge unit; and the flow path is supplied from the flow path to the discharge unit A control unit capable of adjusting the supply amount of liquid for each discharge unit and a control unit so that the difference between the supply amounts of the liquid for each discharge unit measured by the measurement unit is within a predetermined range And a control unit.
According to this aspect, a difference between the supply amounts of liquid for each discharge unit is provided, including a measurement unit that measures the supply amount of liquid for each discharge unit, and an adjustment unit that can adjust the supply amount of liquid for each discharge unit. Is controlled to be within a predetermined range. Therefore, the liquid can be effectively supplied to the plurality of discharge units.
In the liquid discharge apparatus according to the second aspect of the present invention, in the first aspect, the control unit matches the supply amount of the liquid among the plurality of discharge portions with the minimum discharge portion supply amount. Controlling the adjusting unit.
If there is a difference in the liquid supply amount among the plurality of discharge parts, the difference in the liquid supply amount between the discharge parts tends to be small, but according to this aspect, the other discharge parts may Since the supply amounts of (1) and (2) are combined, it is possible to easily reduce the difference in the supply amount of liquid for each discharge unit.
Note that “the supply amount of the minimum discharge unit with the minimum supply amount” means the supply amount of the discharge unit with the minimum supply amount when the liquid is supplied to all of the plurality of discharge units, and the liquid If there is a discharge unit that is not supplied, it means that it is excluded.
In the liquid discharge apparatus according to the third aspect of the present invention, in the first or second aspect, the control unit controls the adjustment degree of the supply amount of the liquid by the adjustment unit according to the measurement value by the measurement unit. It is characterized by changing in real time.
According to this aspect, since the adjustment degree of the liquid supply amount by the adjustment unit is changed in real time according to the measurement value, it is possible to particularly effectively reduce the difference in the liquid supply amount.
The liquid discharge apparatus according to a fourth aspect of the present invention is the liquid discharge apparatus according to any one of the first to third aspects, wherein the control unit is configured to adjust the amount of the liquid when the difference in the supply amount of the liquid exceeds a threshold. The adjustment unit may be controlled such that the difference between the supply amounts is within a predetermined range.
According to this aspect, when the difference in the supply amount of liquid exceeds the threshold value, the adjustment unit is controlled such that the difference in the supply amount of liquid falls within the predetermined range. For this reason, when the difference in the supply amount of liquid exceeds the threshold value and it becomes necessary to adjust the supply amount of liquid, the difference in the supply amount of liquid can be reduced.
The liquid discharge apparatus according to a fifth aspect of the present invention is characterized in that, in any one of the first to fourth aspects, the measurement unit and the adjustment part are incorporated in the liquid discharge apparatus.
According to this aspect, since the measurement unit and the adjustment unit are built in the liquid discharge device, it is possible to eliminate the need for separately preparing the measurement unit and the adjustment unit, and the liquid accompanying the desorption of the measurement unit and the adjustment unit. It is also possible to suppress supply defects to the discharge unit of
In the liquid supply method according to the sixth aspect of the present invention, a plurality of discharge units for discharging the liquid, a flow path for supplying the liquid to the discharge unit, and a plurality of discharge units capable of simultaneously suctioning the liquid A method of supplying the liquid to the discharge unit in a liquid discharge apparatus including a suction unit, the measurement step of measuring, for each of the discharge units, the supply amount of the liquid supplied from the flow path to the discharge unit. And the discharge amount of the liquid supplied from the flow path to the discharge portion such that the difference in the supply amount of the liquid for each discharge portion measured in the measurement step is within a predetermined range. And adjusting each of the parts.
According to this aspect, the liquid supply amount is measured for each discharge unit, and the liquid supply amount is adjusted for each discharge unit so that the difference in the liquid supply amount for each discharge unit is within a predetermined range. Therefore, the liquid can be effectively supplied to the plurality of discharge units.
Hereinafter, a printing apparatus as a liquid ejection apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the attached drawings.

In FIGS. 1 and 2, for convenience of explanation, the X axis, the Y axis, and the Z axis are illustrated as three axes orthogonal to each other. The X axis is an axis along one of the horizontal directions and is the width of the printing apparatus, that is, an axis along the depth direction in FIG. The Y-axis is a horizontal direction and a direction perpendicular to the X-axis, that is, an axis along the longitudinal direction of the
In the present specification, the flow of the ink I as a liquid from the upstream side (the side of the storage unit 2) to the downstream side (the side of the discharge unit 12) is referred to as "supplying the ink I".
In the
Specifically, as shown in FIG. 2, the ink
A

Here, the
Hereinafter, each part of the
As shown in FIG. 1, the
In this embodiment, the direction orthogonal to the transport direction for transporting the medium M is the X axis direction, the direction parallel to the transport direction is the Y axis direction, and the direction orthogonal to the X axis direction and the Y axis direction is the Z axis direction.
The
In addition, the
The
The
As the medium M, a printing material can be used. The material to be printed refers to cloths, clothes, and other decorative products to be printed. Examples of the fabric include woven, knitted and non-woven fabrics of natural fibers such as cotton, silk and wool, chemical fibers such as nylon, or composite fibers in which these are mixed. In addition, garments and other fashion products include sewn T-shirts, handkerchiefs, scarves, towels, handbags, cloth bags, curtains, sheets, furniture such as bedspreads, and other parts before sewing. Also included are fabrics before and after cutting that are present as
Furthermore, as the medium M, in addition to the above-mentioned printing material, it is possible to use special paper for inkjet recording such as plain paper, high quality paper, and glossy paper, and the like. In addition, as the medium M, for example, a plastic film not subjected to surface treatment for ink jet printing, that is, a plastic film having no ink absorbing layer formed thereon, and a plastic coated on a substrate such as paper, and plastic It is also possible to use one to which a film is adhered. Examples of the plastic include, but are not limited to, polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene terephthalate, polycarbonate, polystyrene, polyurethane, polyethylene, and polypropylene.
The winding
The supporting
The driving
The
The
The
Such a
The
In addition, the
In the
The
As shown in FIG. 1, the drying
The drying
図3に示すように、制御部33は、CPU(Central Processing Unit)41と、記憶部42とを有している。
As shown in FIG. 3, the
記憶部42は、例えば不揮発性半導体メモリーの一種であるEEPROM(Electrically Erasable Programmable Read−Only Memory)等を有し、各種プログラム等を記憶することができる。
The
The
Further, as shown in FIG. 3, the
As described above, the
Then, with the configuration as shown in FIG. 3, the
The

For example, when the difference in the supply amount of the ink I of each
Furthermore, the
More specifically, the
If there is a difference in the supply amount of the ink I in the plurality of
Note that “the supply amount of the minimum discharge unit with the minimum supply amount” means the supply amount of the
In the
In addition, as shown in FIG. 4, the
Next, a method of supplying the liquid (ink I) to the
Here, FIG. 5 is a flowchart of the liquid supply method performed using the
As shown in FIG. 5, when the liquid supply method performed using the
Next, in step S120, based on the measurement result of the
If it is determined that the flow rate of the ink I is respectively the assumed flow rate, the liquid supply method of the present embodiment is ended. If it is determined that the flow rate of the ink I is not each estimated flow rate, the process proceeds to step S130. .
It should be noted that whether the flow rate of the ink I flowing through the
In step S130, the flow rate of ink I flowing through
Then, step S120 and step S130 are repeated, for example, at predetermined timing, and the
Then, it is determined in step S120 that the supply amount of the minimum discharge unit with the minimum supply amount of the ink I has become the assumed flow rate, and the liquid supply method of the present embodiment is ended. In other words, it is determined in step S120 that the supply amount of the ink I supplied to each
As described above, a plurality of
Thus, the supply amount of the ink I is measured for each
